GO JAZZ!

So the Jazz have made it into the second round of the playoffs for the first time without Karl Malone and John Stockton. SWEET!!! I am very excited about this and am going to watch the game tonight and actually record 24 tonight and watch it later. (if you know me you know this is a huge deal for me to miss 24)

Boozer, Williams, Okur and Kirilinko are starting to play really well together. I think the Jazz will win in 5. Tonight's game will be 105 to 95 Jazz. Goooooo Jazzzzz!!!!!

Here is What I Have!

Just thought I would post what my setup looks like. It's a bad picture so I'm going to borrow my mothers digital camera to see if I can get a better view of it all. We have a 52" Hitachi HDTV, an Onkyo receiver (I will be changing this out for a Panasonic SA-XR57S digital receiver, LG upconverting DVD player, JBL speakers for both front/rear channels, Onix X-CS speaker for the center channel (I will be changing out the JBL's for Onix X series speakers in the next 6 months or so), KLH 12" subwoofer (this sub kind of sucks but it does the job until I get my MFW-15 subwoofer from av123.com) and I think that's it.

IF I WIN THE LOTTERY WEEK 2

One of the first things I would do would be putting a Home Theater into my little humble house. "Hobbit Hole Cinema" would be my greatest building achievement to date. I would build a riser for a second row of seating. I would have leather home theater chairs with cup holders and the would recline as well. I would have a dark palette for the colors in earthy tones. The audio equipment would be Onix Rocket speakers, Outlaw Audio preamp and amp, Infocus Projector probably 720p or higher resolution and a Firehawk 110" screen. All of this would run in the $20,000 to $30,000 range. It would be a fun project and the sound and picture quality would rival the best movie theaters in town. The picture I found is kind of what I would do, check out the really cool remote control. Sweet! What will I find for next week? I don't know yet so check back often and be sure to make some comments I'd love to see what you think.

IF I WIN THE LOTTERY

This is going to be a weekly event for my blog. It's a wish list of the things I would like but will most likely never be able to afford. First up is the new Chevy Camaro that's not going to be out until 2009. I love the look of this car and I really want one. I dig the old 60's era Camaro's and they took those lines from the '69 and used them in this. Someday...Yah, Right! Next week I'll find something new.

Spoooooky!

I love Halloween and I especially love scaring the neighbor kids on Old Hallows Night. It's a gift I have. Scaring the poop out of kids is not only fun it's therapeutic. Some kids on our block are little creeps and it's going to be a good time having them run off our porch screaming for their mommy. Man I love this stuff. and oh by the way...BOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

Different Sub???

Well I just learned if I order my new center channel before Nov. 22nd I qualify for a $100 gift certificate from av123.com on their 15" powered subwoofer. This isn't the same sub in my previous post it is one that I have been eyeing for the past couple of months and actually is not even available for sale yet. They (av123.com) are just finishing up the design of this sub and are going to have it for sale I think by the end of the year. It will have a 15" driver a 350 watt amp and will hit down to 18Hz. With the 100 bucks off that will make this sub just a little more money than the other sub I was looking at. With all the extra features this sub is a much better deal and will sound much, much, much better. Hold on to you butts this thing is going to thump and I do mean thump. The pic above is a prototype. Notice the front firing port that runs the full width of the box at the bottom. Sweet huh!

What The Hell

Last Saturday I had a Star Wars viewing for my brothers and I and only one of the brothers showed up. We had planning this weeks and everyone was excited to come watch on my new big ass t.v. I started getting reports from a few of the brothers earlier in the week that they would probably be a little late being we were starting at 9:00 am and I was fine with that. What happened in reality was two of the brothers didn't even bother and the third showed up at 12:00 noon and watch one movie and part of the next and left at 4:00. This is not what was planned folks we were going to spend all day watching and enjoy each others company for the day and "bond" in a manly way. WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO DOING WHAT YOU SAY YOU WOULD DO?
