our garden

is BUSTLING!! We have tons and tons (like over 100) tomatoes, a little zucchini growing as well as a couple cucumbers and of course we've been making salads with our lettuce and that basil is growing like crazy. here's some proof:

we picked the ripest cherry tomato we had, chopped it in half & indulged. absolutely DELICIOUS!! 

So, at the beginning of the summer when we were first planting said garden, our neighbor gave us 4 squash plants &we always thought that they were zucchini or cucumbers (they're chinese and don't really know the names of the plants in english) so then last week, Tom (our neighbor) says "oh, your pumpkin plant is growing big already!" I thought "PUMPKIN? we have a pumpkin plant?" yes, we do indeed have a pumpkin plant. Perfect for October. 

birthday

Last night, we celebrated one of my boston best friends, Russanne's, birthday. We met them downtown and went to Pizzeria Regina. It's the original pizza house from 1926 with the same brick oven and everything and has the most DELICIOUS pizza ever!! Seriously, the BEST! We then (of course) topped it off with a birthday cupcake for Russanne and canolli's for us from Mike's Pastry. We sat in a little fountain area with benches and the best view of the city. It was the most perfect weather. Of course Scott decided to have a cartwheel photoshoot too so--enjoy that!

9am - 10pm

Saturday we had a week's vacation packed into one day. It was the BEST. Really. We started it off by driving to Nauset Beach in Orleans, MA.

Next, we took a drive through the GORGEOUS houses around the area. We drove by this one, and I couldn't NOT get out and take a picture. It seriously took my breath away.

I mean.. seriously?!!! woah. &this picture doesn't do it justice.

Next, we went to Main St. in Chatham, MA and walked around to all the little shops, and of course stopped off to see the beautiful hydrangeas everywhere.

We stopped at a penny candy shop (it wasn't a penny just so we're all clear) and got lots of delicious salt water taffy. Scott's been craving it since the last time we came to Cape Cod, so we had to indulge.

Next, on our way home, we saw a wildlife habitat park and stopped off to take in the beautiful sites.

We then saw this awesome old windmill:

 And when you see a sign for homemade ice cream, you can't NOT stop right? So, we again, indulged in chocolate chip cookie dough &chocolate peanut butter ice cream. It was delicious.

CSGC

This last week I was in Raymond, New Hampshire at Zion's Camp. I got to hang out with eighty 12-18 year olds. My wonderful fellow counselors Cristi &Judyanne and I were over the 15-17 year olds aka the best girls at camp! We hiked and stayed up late, put together an awesome prank, and all around were awesome. I felt like I was a 17 year old all week (and it didn't help that at least 10 girls came up and asked if I was 17.... no, I'm actually 23 and a counselor).

Overall, the week was seriously awesome. The girls strengthened my testimony of the gospel and it was uplifting in every way. I made new sweet (cute) awesome wonderful friends and this will be a week I'll never forget. I LOVE GIRLS CAMP!

first week

Scott is officially done with his first full week of his job!! i'm so proud of him!! i put together Restaraunt de Keller for our enjoyment Friday night.

4 - spaghetti squash dinner (something NEW we haven't tried before for Scott's new job, being the new kid at his job)

the man of the hour !

 it's the funniest bowling alley. you use these little balls and get 3 turns to try and knock the pins down (sometimes we used 4 or even 5 balls). it's a lot harder than it sounds but we got the hang of it. you have to put how many pins you knocked down manually and reset it after each turn manually too. it was really funny &fun.
