Now that I think about it, to me, blogging is a pretty useless communication tool. It's more of a pastime.
But if that's so, it's a weird sort of pastime. Because I don't blog about anything really worthy of reading (save for the occasional advert). So might as well just write stuff and not put it on display, since everything on public display can be used against me, right?

I want to go back to my Daddy's place at Sherwood in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. It's like living in the Tipton :D Free coffee and tea 2.30-5pm. And 2 pool tables. And a swimming pool. And the awesome elevators. And the 5 star restaurant food is cheaper than Singapore hawker center food it's like !?!!?

Mom says I can totally move in with Dad if I want to, and I can go to that international school there but it'll be totally wasted since I've already survived 3 years in RGS so aww I'll be seeing you guys in January.

I will not type in full wishy washy paragraphs today.

Meh watched New Moon with Lek, Dong and Bebe on Thursday hahaha it wasn't very good, maybe too slow for my liking. It was seriously the slowest full length I've ever watched. At the part where Bella confronts Jacob and they're both standing in the rain trying to form coherent sentences I couldn't help myself and burst out laughing because the melodrama was killing me. :D Good thing I stifled it or I would've ruined the scene for everyone else whoops. Haha so Bebe who was beside me heard and went "WHY ARE YOU LAUGHING?" but I was laughing and couldn't answer properly so she joined in(: Awesomeness ttm!

Bebe got a nice fringe she looks really cute now! But it's only gonna last for December. After that it's back to neat Nan Hua plaits and pinned up fringes):

TI'10 is nearly over! Reading Germ's post made me remember how we all felt when TI'09 was over and I remember all of us in the hallway outside our dorms and all the sec 3s hugging Ben and getting chased back into our rooms by Hong Laoshi and all finding our luggages too small for our stuff and how when we finally got back to Singapore the first thing we did was organize a mass convo which I had to leave because I was burning hot from the sudden climatic transition (if that's a way to say it). So anyways nothing really ever beats TI'09 for real (:

1. I like Scrubs. It's not super funny, but it's... nice.
2. I wanna go back to Christmas Island someday. Maybe see if I could stand living there for a few weeks. Drastic change of pace?
3. I miss living in Suzhou. I don't get why I didn't miss it as much when I first left, but now I really do.
4. I should go to sleep now.
5. Every point before this one was written starting with an 'I'.
6. I think that means I'm self centered.

8. My to-do list isn't of much help.

Hello internet I am back from sleepy little Christmas Island. In comparison to that place, Singapore life is a never ending mad rush. Goodness and we see the same people everywhere because there are like 1504 citizens or something so people can hold 3-4 jobs easily. Plus no stress. Everything closes in the early afternoon for lunch, and everyone knocks off at 9pm. Ms Tan said she'd go mad living there for more than a week because life there is too slow.

I counted three people in CIDistrictHighSchool with glasses. Three out of a possible 250. And 80% of Singaporean males aged 18 and up are myopic. D:

I love that place and it's simplicity (: Except for the gazillion Aedes mosquitoes, poor Glace Rim is spotted all over from bites! Yeah and living in the lodge was quite awesome haha singing Mamma Mia/Don't Trust Me/New Perspective with Grace till late at night, playing Tap Tap, crashing Steph and Lynn's room, buying Aussie candy, camwhoring etc. AWESOME :D

And 27th November is officially Two-Ponytail Day! I think we should start a two-ponytail fad sometime and drive the nation wild :D

PSLTC yesterday (: I don't feel like giving details because I'd end up typing another ridiculously long post, and I hate chunks of text. So all I'll say is I hope the J/PSLs did learn what we set out to teach them, and I hope they're excited about the coming year!

Christmas Island in 31 hours! I haven't started packing. Sheesh okay I'll do it... later tonight.

I love classic Disney movies. Not Camp Rock or stuff like that, just the normal 2D animated stuff. Of course the new movies are great too, but nothing beats the stuff from the '90s, especially the music.
Aladdin was just on Disney channel! Lek was over while it was on, she says it's only her second time watching it, I practically know it by heart. Janne says Jasmine is the hottest Disney girl. I disagree, I think Megara is the hottest and Jasmine comes in a close second.

A roll of char siew chee cheong fun is only 65 calories. Remember that.

I've never watched Scrubs. But this song I stumbled upon from My Musical (the episode where this woman who ends up in the hospital sees everything musical-form) is so nice (:





Now I think watching Scrubs would be a fabulous idea.

Hello I am back again because as you may or may not know, I tend to write very long posts so to avoid having ugly big chunks on my blog I split my posts. Yes so anyways, after (a)parallel and Meg's "I'm not good at anything" speech I have been thinking about fortes and how it seems most people know their fortes quite well (if you watch HSM you'll know what I mean). Like how my Grandma can sing well and my Grandpa can do business stuff well and my cat can sleep very, very well.
So then I was thinking, do I have a forte? Then I thought maybe not, because I do not have a fabulous singing voice, I cannot run as fast as I would like to, I am not particularly charismatic, and I certainly do not rock at blogging. So I decided to settle for trying to be good, which is...good enough. Or I could be good at being average, if that sounds better. :D

So today me, Giwon, Julia, Persa, Amanda, Verna, Cat, Charm, Chanel and Yufei turned up for school. (That sentence is grammatically unsound but whatever.) That's 33.3333333333...% of 307.

Uhm so the school day was composed of Malay dance, violin and guitar duets, cute Australian song, bridge, Chanel's creative bidding strategies, clay, koping food from sec 2 ACP, screaming, CCA photos, singing aloud and well, all the usual. Life is pretty good.

Oh yes RachelTan and I went to meet Andy again love love love his office yay! And we got Juan Foo as our film mentor! (If you don't know Google him:) Spent an hour and a half reviewing our entry and talking about how to re shoot certain scenes, tidy some stuff up and I got goosebumps watching that piece of work again esp. when Juan un-muted the music because there were so many obvious flaws. I am pretty glad that we get a second chance at this thingum.

My blog is boring TTM so I will say something exciting. HAORONG AND HAOYU ARE COMING TO RGS. Yes, they are. I BET YOU DON'T KNOW THEM. Okay I phail at exciting.
I will say something else that is exciting. I WORE A PRETTY DRESS TODAY. Gawk and gasp all you like, people. Okay fine maybe I'll give up exciting and continue being boring.

Hello so a lot has been happening lately and most of it fun (:

Yesterday was fun! Had PSB Night practice in school at 11 it's gonna be awesomeeeeee and I will NOT bust my shin this year. Oh choir concert was great too, I can't sing like those kids can. They totallaye deserved a GWH!

OH AND AFTER THAT I MET MY MOM AND DONG AND LEK AND BEBEYIP. Dong, Lek and Bebe were swimming at Safra when I arrived and we drove to Seletar Country Club for Brendan Lau's birthday. Imagine a one year old having a birthday banquet in the ballroom complete with blown up banners of himself and WAITERS running around refilling glasses. Cool eh? And guess which crew turned up wearing shorts and T shirts? Nobody seemed to really care, at least.

Then after that drove to Sembawang park where we did monkey bars and the swings plus volleyed a green balloon from the party. Bebe and Lek got addicted to Oven Break on my phone.

Today went to Changi Airport to send the TI people off but guess what I was late so only Germaine was still outside the departure gates ): Well at least I didn't go for nothing! HAVE FUN IN TAIWAN, PEOPLE! GERM REMEMBER THE SARSAPARILLA AND TELL ME ABOUT THE OTHER TI KIDS SO I CAN FB STALK THEM ALL.

Jiayun, TZY, Ben and Ryan were there too, but Ryan had to leave. So I followed Jiayun to the foodcourt to watch Ben and Zhiyuan eat their lunch. Ben says the strange guy who asked me to be his friend the day before was a perv who made the news before.

Jiayun: Different people have different interests. Mine are eating and sleeping!

Dodgeball was fun today! Was supposed to ref but we didn't have enough players so the refs played too. Haha it's like slacking and laughing and screaming and throwing and jumping and more laughing. Awesome IHG. If nobody organises it next year I WILL COMPLAIN (:
And Richardson owned IHGs yay! But I guess it was kinda more for fun this time because it's only among sec 3s so haha just hope everyone had fun today. Winning feels goood though :D

Oh dear it's like November already aren't we all getting old? I was in the car the other day and I concluded my childhood was prematurely and forcefully ended with the onset of something called SECONDARY SCHOOL. RARR.

Yeap so Penang was pretty okay but since mom was there playing property agent I didn't do anything much but mooch around and provide free labour. First step to taking over Eunikem haha nah kidding. Oh and Jillian is cute TTM! Her favourite words are Mama, Papa and WHEEE. Like when we're sitting in the car she'll randomly go WHEEE. And once she put a wool scarf under one foot and discovered how slidey (not a real word) it was to walk like that so she went WHEEE while tottering around the house. And everyone says I looked and acted just like her when I was 2 too haha.

Mom: You were like that once, until you turned into this tired old lady.

Aw.

Julia is 6 but she wears the clothes I wore when I was 10. Oh and she's smart, you can tell she learned how to speak watching Playhouse Disney because she says things like "There you go again!" which is pretty funny-amusing.

And today on the 980 I met Shen Laoshi. I was like trying to remember the last time I saw her, and I realised it was LAST JULY. JULY 11. GYM COMP. Wow.

She said hi and stuff and asked me how I was and I struggled to gather my thoughts and express them in borderline-understandable Chinese. I was half waiting for her to tell me I got fatter since last comp (because I think I did) but it never came and I was strangely disappointed but then realised Why would she even say that in the first place?

And I really really really miss all the gym people that I haven't seen for so long e.g. awesome IJTP gymmers ): And I remember I thought Shen Laoshi was scary the first training with her in E block but of course that never stuck (:

Today was a good day

Ah gosh just came back from j8 where we attempted lit PT (: Key word: attempted. Hey at least we tried!

And I'm gonna leave the house in 15 minutes for piano at CCK oh man I can't believe exam is Monday and I'm not freaking out.

And I'm a wreck right now all because I didn't cool down after running yesterday. Like my feet were burning hot and I had to stick them in ice water. And my hands were trembling at dinner. But it's all good now. Almost (: I don't wanna go for piano. But I must. So bye.

Met the TI kids again but this time there were only hmm 9 of us? So spent most of the day at Bishan Active where the guys played basketball for most part. I got 2 blisters from the monkey bars. One is broken and ouch it hurts like crazy now. Not to mention how gross it is. AND I NEVER GET BLISTERS FROM ROPE. Wow. Did a bit of practice shooting. Phail rate was like 95% whoops gotta do something about that. Oh then Jiayun came.

So I have a lot of math to catch up on considering I missed another all-important lesson (aren't they all?) on Thursday and I spent most of Friday's struggling to copy all the worksheet answers down (the relief teacher writes amazingly fast on whiteboard). Yeah and doing rubbish with Emily and Zi En like going "I UNDERSTAND! HAH!" and then finding that the time you had taken off to exclaim your ecstasy significantly set you back for the next question. Emily says specs make me look intellectual.


And and I hate that I ran so much today but I don't feel accomplished AT ALL because I could've gone faster and as a result of my slackness I don't even feel like I ran at all. Yeah so now all the guys are taller than I am. Sad, right? But if it was the other way round it'd be even sadder. But everyone's pretty much the same. Rachel says I've acquired an accent. And my Chinese is still weird as ever haha actually I think it got worse since I went to RG.
And Beckham lost her iPhone! So we went back to the empty theater to look for it thank goodness iPhones don't have silent, only vibrate! Dillon felt the seat vibrating and pried the cushion off and ta-dah there it was. The epitome of awesomeness. Don't we all love happy endings (:
Apparently I'm already pretty tall for a girl and RGS girls are not accurate gauges for girl height. But I still have to catch up with Nerd and Jordan at least! 4cm more!

On Wednesday, a bunch of Zien's debate juniors decided I had the dao look and that it was likely that I am a basketballer.

Seriously, nobody's ever told me I looked like a basketballer in my life! Plus, I bet the fact that I was wearing a black hoodie influenced my dao factor significantly. But then again, it was a PSB hoodie with a big pink heart and a pink girl in front.

Whee I'm actually bothering to update!

School has been pretty good and I haven't been on MC for more than 4 weeks :D Cool, huh? But then again I've never been a sickly kid and this year's MCs were mostly used to cover for a certain mental hiccup. I promise I am sane now. I think. Well at least saner than I was 4 weeks ago, I guess. And I slept for 13 hours last Saturday! Before that I was too tired to even try to look alive when everyone was eating those funny Japanese desserts at MOF. I sat there biting on a metal teaspoon and stoning.

People are stealing my running route! I'll be nice and share. Anyways it's for the greater good (:

Be Yourself Day is coming up! Theme for this year is AMBITION. Well, when Dong was still in Wellington and the theme was AMBITION, she went as a cute little witch -.- She still has a badge with that photo on it. HAHA so cute right. She was p1 then I think.

I tear big(ger) sushi apart and eat the rice grains in little bites. Something I discovered on Saturday at Nihon Mura. Oh and Spritzer vitamin water is too sweet for my liking plus it contains like 35g of sugar which made me go !?!?! And it made me thirsty! Which is sort of a good thing I guess because water is good.

My ever supportive (cough) sisters Nerd and Dong were telling me how disgusting it is that I have more muscle than they have (but in truth that's not a lot of muscle anyways) and my mom says girls were made to be soft but I say I can't stand it when I'm on the bus and I see these soft-looking skinny girls because I'd be thinking "Weak. ". And even my dad decides to side with the rest of them and he says there is nothing wrong with being feminine if you're a girl but I say there is a Difference between being feminine and being soft.

And there's no fun in there being alive and healthy if you can't run fast, can't jump high, can't play hard etc. etc. (: But then again maybe those skinny girls are secretly really strong! And maybe some other person on the bus is looking at me and thinking "Weak.". Haha.

Yay so today was a good day like I predicted (:

National day celebrations were fun and messy and stuff and nobody actually followed the seating arrangements in the end luh 'cause we were too busy playing mass volleyball with giant inflatable beach balls thrown at us. And I screamed at Amanda Low so much I'm sure she's going to say Huh? a lot on Tuesday haha well SOMEBODY has to make her wake up! Uh, not that it really worked because Amanda is a stubborn kid.

Yay then after a pretty long but enriching meeting I bravely set out into the Great Perhaps of Bishan. Not that Bishan's hard to get around. So I met Tok Yin Xin the lost sheep at the platform of Bishan MRT and we went up to the bus stop and, while awaiting the arrival of our other acquaintances slash friends, talked about gym training and stuff (mostly hers because you know...) and how the ex-artgym coach would look right at home with the mafia. And random stuff I guess.

After having gathered and wandered about Bishan for half an hour, we ended up back at RI where it all began. Yeah so spent about 1.5h there playing bball. And I fouled like 10489284375982 times 'cause I completely forgot about the rules and stuff and treated the whole thing like Netball (and they are very different, trust me). Haha so as I (very) slowly remembered what we learnt in sec 2 PE everything started to seem so starkly embarrassing :O You can tell that bball and I aren't exactly close friends. More like some random kid you see on the bus every once in a while. Yeah. Sorry everyone who had to put up with this ):

The sec 4s were all on one team and it was pretty cute you can see this routine developing like Mabel-->Cuier-->Lin-->hoop (:

Poor Yinxin was feeling listless so I told her to eat a banana and peanut butter sandwich because I had one for breakfast. (SEE FRIENDS I ACTUALLY EAT!)

So the sec 4s left and Jiayun came along only to have me and Yinxin abandon her despite her efforts at keeping us here another hour by somehow convincing us with a picture of a little kid and a stuffed toy or something. Aw poor Jiayun ): But we really had to leave you.

Haha so on the MRT train Yinxin and I mass smsed everyone who made our day happier with bball (: Yeah and today I decided bball is actually more fun than netball. (For now at least!) Weird huh. But I'll probably change my mind again tomorrow anyways.

Oh yes and I Must stop saying "SHOOT!" every time I try to score and fail because that's just unneccessarily bimbotic.

Today I got to experience the exhilaration of bringing a plate of noodles out of the canteen and eating it in the Koi Pond right next to a prefect (who was also eating) since now the tables stretch all the way there. Life is just getting. Weird. As in I understand why we're doing this but it's just strange.

And yes, it's true that I'm now Freaky Fifteen (: Haha wow. Life moves soooo fast. Last time I woke up, I was like. Five. But this year's birthday was pretty full of awesomeness <3

Haha so it all started with the insurance agent cake on Friday. Then I met Germanium at NLB at 10.30pm that night because we were really nice and decided to go join Jor at his reading marathon thing. Haha I think I'll just start koping excerpts from their posts (: But Germ's blog doesn't show her older posts ): Oh man.

HAHA yes we're totallaye awesome right.

So me and Germ spent the night (or morning) MARATHON STONING! Like walking to 7 eleven and getting nothing, talking rubbish, trying hard to concentrate on Math and Chinese but failing miserably. Not to mention Germ was a little drunk for a while there. 

Ahh so that ended at about 7.30 am and the three of us stumbled our way to Bugis Junction again. Took a trip to the mrt station then turned back and went to Starbucks! At this point Germ got high and started laughing at EVERYTHING me and Jor said. HAHA and I suggested we go ask the caucasian people at Starbucks for the way back to VEGAS! Too bad they left before one of us could do that. Jor and Germ were calling Rachel for some Urgent Matter.

Then somehow we ended up in Cathay but everything was still closed! Including the escalator. So we stoned around the escalator for a while

Not really like SCOLD us, more like GAVE US THE LOOK. Oh yes and it was a hp pouch.

Then we stoned around the empty fountain "waiting for Ben & Jerry's to open" and I got pretty restless and went hopping around the basement/trying to do double pirouettes and failing (duh)/doing lit/watching my friends morph into daylight zombies/wondering what on earth was actually going on and why Germ seemed to know something I DIDN'T!

Haha then we took the lift to the cinema and by that point, all of us were completely drained and zombified. Me and Germ flopped down on a couch and the TI people JUMPED UP BEHIND US and Germ screamed like super loud! HAHA and she knew they were there! I was kind of. Stunned. Because my brain wasn't really functioning I guess haha so I didn't scream until after I put 2 and 2 together and realised what was going on. AWESOME RIGHT (: (: Watched Duplicity which was pretty sick and spent half to movie laughing at everyone screaming at Rachel whenever sick parts came up. HAHA IT'S OKAY RACHEL THAT WAS FUNNY (:

Then Jor treated me and Germ to B&Js as promised (: (: (: Gosh B&Js is so super duper sweet but also super duper awesome! Everyone ended up in PS and had an escalator picnic like the hobos we were. HAHA had a brief episode of supermarket searching with Germ then my zombie friends had to go home ): After that Huiqun, Sarah, Rachel and I hid in Marks and Spencers from the guys. Poor things haha! Then I had a present presentation ceremony in the middle of PS haha thanks guys! AND SARAH... X) But I was kinda glad to go home soon after that because staying awake for 33 hours straight is seriously no joke. 

TAIWAN IMMERSION KIDS AND GERMAINIUM ARE AWESOME (: (: Really really didn't suspect a thing! Haha special thanks to Jor and Germ for putting up with my rubbish for 33 hours!

THEN THE NEXT DAY JOR SMSED ME HAPPY BIRTHDAY. HAHAHA IT WASN'T MY BIRTHDAY FOR ANOTHER 2 DAYS X) 

Birthday yesterday was awesome I don't remember there having been so many birthday wishes for all my other past birthdays thanks guys you're awesomenesssss! VERNA is soooo sweet I tell you awwww loved your gift and card thanks! And and YUFEI MANDY ZIEN GERMAINE chipped in for a gift too thanks! And my fabulous darling 105 and CLASSICS!!!!!!! Haha that was CLASSIC, Nisha and Jo-Ann luring me downstairs to "meet yimin" and Minchih "losing her wallet"! YES I'm using the awesome wallet you guys gave me love you all you're the coolest sec one class this year I insist (: And my darling deskmate Parisa giving me a note telling me that I can feel free to tell her to "SHUT THE **** UP" whenever she asks too many Maths questions haha Parisa I think I ask more questions than you lah!

A. This one is trickier. But so far the best answer I've come up with is that You Wouldn't Know. I mean seriously, you wouldn't know unless you faked your death or something. So instead of pondering this one over, a better use of your time would be to go out there, and make someone happy. You'll be glad you did, and you'll understand why this question is simply unanswerable. To make your life worth something to others, you have to show others their lives are worth something to YOU(: Make someone else feel valuable, instead of worrying over the value of your life.

Anyways I'm proud of myself for having gotten back into running after being such a slacker for goodness like 4 months (tsktsk) PLUS I found a better route that takes me to that 3M building that's supposed to be on the road to Woodlands. And the path isn't as ugly and big and bare as the one at the hardcourt where we used to rollerblade. Only thing is that I was worried I might get bitten by killer mosquitoes but ta-dah guess what, I came back bite-free :) So while the rest of Sembawang is either running at the very boring hardcourt path or getting carbon monoxide-ed running round the blocks, I'll be the smart kid running the longer-but-cooler route to the awesome 3M building so HAH!

What reeks is that I still have to go through the hardcourt path on the way back because it's actually also part of the route if you wanna complete a circle.

I wonder how long I can keep this run-almost-every-evening thing up. Until I get H1N1 or something, I guess. THE SPANISH FLU IS A STRAIN OF H1N1 :O Yeah and there are 454 cases now and we're all looking forward to many more in the coming term how lame is that. Mortality is super duper low at least. But still.

Ahh i'm like ADDICTED to Out Tonight from RENT! It's so ironic this no lifer in the Practically Perfect land of Singapore is so fascinated with bohemia and everything associated with it. It's so painful watching an animal die.
There are two angelfish in the fish tank now. But one is dead. So I got the net and tried to fish it out so I could flush it away but arghhh I couldn't stand it so now it's still lying there like the dead fish in NTUC. Except I'm not afraid of going near NTUC fish because they weren't from my fish tank.
Rarr okay I guess I have to bring myself to do it somehow if not the other fish will eat the corpse and it'll get even harder to go near the fish tank. :( :(

An Abundance Of Katherines is cool. Books with extremely smart people as protagonists (like in The Curious Incident Of The Dog In Night Time) are generally cool. Okay I take that back. After everything was over and we were slacking in the Dry Lab Wanyi and Louisa tried to guess my CCA. Goodness gracious they don't know my CCA and I've known theirs since? Well they got gym right because they said I LOOKED like a gym person. But they kept guessing squash probably because the poster spams by squash penetrated their subconsciousness or something like that lah.

And the PITs are such funny people! I hope I didn't scare them too much because I'm not always this drunk!!! I think OH drove me a bit weird and alcohol fermentation occured resulting in the sugar in my blood turning into alcohol or something which resulted in me screaming RARRR at people randomly and singing Anything You Can Do which is a very very catchy song by the way.

I'm up late again for the millionth night in a row! Not that I'm proud of it. But at least I'm not trying to keep awake by eating chili or Tabasco sauce or something like that.

Vera's right. We've sorta split into RGS sec 3, RGS sec 4, and RI sec 3. But it's okay, everyone's still weird as ever!

Yay I really missed our gatherings and stuff. It's nice to have a bunch of people who don't fit into any social category (like CCA, clas etc.) but are still good friends. And I've realised that some people are so SLOW at getting jokes. I tried using the classic Joey Tam one:

You know in sec one, training was like NS (according to Christine). Hmm I can't say that considering I don't know how NS is like. But it was like almost every single training, before we start I'd be thinking I can't do this. DIE. DIE. DOOMTIME. even if I didn't say it out loud.

But now I feel kinda weird. Like I need to be tortured. Like I WANT TO DIE TRAINING. And on the gray tombstone they'd engrave:

I was really nice being back at Potong Pasir even though the new coach must've felt really confused or just annoyed cause she kept looking at me. Not like she was mad or anything, just curious.

Ahha and I only told Celine Chong after she gave me a big hug! Not on purpose. Anyways I still went to school for rehearsal. It was pretty good and we sang I Want It That Way 234876 times with Sarah Actions. I bet we have permenantly established the reputation of LD girls as Noisy Singing Screaming Drama Freaks. But there are RATIONALES behind being crazy! It's called voice projection, people!

And it's fun, besides the fact. I'm wondering whether we can get booked for over-projecting our voices (i.e. screaming for the fun of it). Janne has a really boomingly loud voice!

I think so far, my favourite Idol contestant is still David Cook because he's a very talented arranger. Yay!

To whoever it may concern,

I am a fifteen year old student who just happened to chance upon a Real Love Works advertisement in NTUC's Lifestyle magazine and I am writing to express my concerns on the Love Is In The Air activity to be held at the Marina Barrage.

Though I have no qualms about the intentions of the activity, I'd like you to consider the environmental impacts of it. First of all, there is no way of telling how far a balloon would travel before deflating and falling back onto the ground. These released balloons could land anywhere, including nature preserves or other areas where they would pose serious environmental threats. Latex balloons are especially harmful to wildlife as animals such as sea turtles could swallow these landed balloons.

I suggest that an alternative activity be planned in place of this. I'm sure there are other symbolic gestures that are just as meaningful without the negative environmental impact. I also understand that this may take extra effort and planning on the organizing committee's part, but it is important that environmental responsibility comes first on every action that we plan to execute. I sincerely hope my suggestions can be taken into serious consideration, as there should be no need to harm the environment in any way for the sake of promoting happy marriages.

I went to see the doctor today and he was really funny and stuff. But he said that I'm suffering from lack of sleep which explains my swollen gums. Ewww. So what we discussed at MGM last year was true! Dr Chan says if I don't sleep at 11pm, my liver will not get rest and I will become a toxic waste vat.

Then we talked a lot of other stuffs and he told us that the doctors of Singapore are getting squeezed for their services because of all that MediSave and stuff. So lawyers are getting the status and moolah now and people who love moolah should go become lawyers instead. Then he was like, "I've been a doctor for 33 years, you know!" so it was kind of shocking cause he looked 45 oldest and he couldn't possibly have been a doctor when he was 12. He is 61 this year!!!! Yeah so me and my mom were dead impressed that he looked super young for a 61 year old dude.

Maybe he sleeps at 10 every night or something.

In conclusion, RGS girls are going to grow up with sleepy livers and look 20 years older than their age.

Hi people

Neglected this thing for eons already. (Hmm, wonder why I keep using that same expression.) So yeah nothing's been happening, so there's absolutely nothing to blog about. Well I COULD blog about Founder's Day, but I'm still waiting for a Founder's Day video to appear on Youtube cause I couldn't see anything yesterday. But still, wasn't bad. The speeches were pretty good, didn't have any sleep-inducing side effects:)

Oh and I got to see the tall masked people on stage though, cause they were on platforms. But other than that, couldn't see anything. Too bad, maybe I'll get better seats next year!

It's funny how I detest school when I'm at home, but find that my somewhat exaggerated hatred for school is gone. And when the day is over I feel like I survived and it was a piece of cake and I wonder why I was so scared in the first place.

Yeah so anyways, Sparsh just adores her school so much she looks forward to going there every day. I mean, not that I DON'T like my school. I'm perfectly content and I think I have a real cool school. I mean I don't think I like it enough to actually be anxious about going. Maybe I just need sleep. Like now.

Oh yes and even though I've been in uniform since Kinderland, it struck me one morning in sec 2 how MECHANICAL we look trooping down to assembly in them. It's just like plain freaky, okay? And I was like WHOA, I had no idea assembly rush hour made us look like we were from The Island.

I'm sick again for the second time in a month. It must've been the CNY junk+crazy weather+not drinking enough water after runs. Oh yes, speaking of running, I really am out of shape. Which is why I'm into the new running-every-sunset craze thing. Haha and running is great! (See recent posts) It's really fun and even running slow is fun sometimes.

Sec ones, especially Zeng Yu, this is for you:

Life in rhythmic gym
Training 3 times a week at the very least. Mon, Wed at Potong Pasir. Sat at RI. CCAB on occasion. 3 hours per training. Can be up to 6 trainings at the right-before-comp month :O

Most trainings begin with mat unrolling. This is the part where everybody unrolls mats. And not those teeny blue ones, I mean like CARPETS.

If laoshi allows us to buy bubble tea, we send people to buy bubble tea. Yay! However, laoshi doesn't always allow us to buy bubble tea.

If laoshi lets us play ball games, we play. Yay! However, this only happens like, 5 times a year?

If there's a track where we're training, we'll run. Mostly about 4-5 rounds.

Sometimes, laoshi makes us skip continuosly for a few minutes. We'll do a few sets at a time. Or we'll do conditioning. Abs and back. We do more physical training after comp, I think. It's random luh. Some days you get it, some days you don't.

But a pretty normal training would go like this:
Changing, then unrolling mats (10 minutes)
Run around the mats 10 rounds. (5 minutes?)
Do splits and oversplits, backbends. (20 minutes)
Do kicks and jumps. (10 minutes)
Laoshi leaves you do practice on your own for the rest of the training. Nearer to comp, we take turns doing routine in front of laoshi, with the music.
Then we stop and do cool down splits and maybe light conditioning. (last 10 minutes)
Then we roll the heavy mats up, drink up, change, blah blah and then go home.

Most people compete, though I'm not sure how many new sec ones get to. There are group and indiv events, depending on your prowess and height. I was in group for 2 years cause Ting, Zhimin, Sarah, Claudia and I were about the same height in sec 1. (Now look at how tall Claw has become!) Yeah so I just continued that way in sec 2. Groups only have one (longer) routine to practise. Indivs have 3 (ball, rope, clubs) in C Div and the same routines in B Div + an extra ribbon routine. If you win anything in indiv, too bad, you can't do indiv anymore.

Overall verdict: Gym can get very frustrating sometimes, so be prepared to work really hard.
Laoshis will tell you you're fat sometimes! But gym is still a cool sport (more sport than dance) and it's a small CCA so your seniors aren't really very detached or anything. Plus, the feeling of relief and accomplishment after comp is like PRICELESS. Oh and it's a very happy CCA at gym camp and chalet, and even sometimes after trainings when everyone has post-training highs!

Oh and to clarify, rhythmic gym is NOT a performing art. It's a sport. Even though you may think it looks like dance from the Olympics and stuff, to me it's more of a sport than a form of dance. But a very pretty sport!

I feel like going for CCA trials just for fun, so I know what it's like being a no-CCA sec one again. HAHAHAHA:)

Oh well, on a more optimistic note, GO PreSteLs! We shall pwn night surprise and well, surprise everyone! Grace Lim is going to be SO proud of me living up to my duties as Vice-president of the Bymnastics Association!
