My niece is here!

My niece Shelby was born last night! She is BEAUTIFUL and healthy! We kept June while Natalie went to the hospital yesterday. My kids LOVED having Junie here. They did not leave her alone. She was trying to eat lunch, and the kids wanted to "see" her so they got chairs and ate off her plate with her. I made June mac and cheese, Claire decided she wanted some too, so they shared. The might have shared the same spoon, I will never tell. I at one point had three sippy cups out, one for each kid... they all shared... cousinly love. The kids had a really fun time, they all ended up in the bath together too, didn't get a pic of that....
I am so happy that my niece Shelby is here. I am so glad that Natalie had such a great delivery! Holding Shelbs today got me all excited about baby Caroline... I am not going to say I am not a little nervous about three kiddos, but I am really excited and ready! Two weeks from tomorrow and we will be a family of 5! I am really excited to see how Corbin and Claire react to Caroline, time will tell!

Christmas 2009

We had a super wonderful Christmas 2009! We spent a lot of time with the family, and really enjoyed watching the kids. We went to the Barrows house Christmas Eve for a nice dinner! Christmas Morning we spent at home watching the kids open presents, and enjoy what Santa brought. Christmas afternoon we went to my mom and dad's house for a really nice time! Everything about Christmas Eve and day was just great! The picture above is of Claire with her new life size Ballerina my mom got her. She loves her very much!
Here is Claire waiting for mom to open her doll! Claire doesn't have clothes on because she wanted to change 5 trillion times into a different dress. All Claire wants to ever wear is a dress. Sounds fun until you live it. The catch is she only wants certain dresses, mostly sleeveless summer ones , and she will NOT wear socks or hose or leggings with them. Today she is sporting a dress that is WAY too small and looks more like a shirt. It is sleeveless and the heater is on... some battles are not worth fighting!

Here is Corbin and Uncle Joseph. Corbin enjoyed playing with all the guys. Since there are only girl cousins for him, he hangs out with Chris, Jimmy and Joseph. They make up all sorts of ridiculous competitive games that they play.

Anyone who knows Chris well, knows his favorite food is queso. I think Claire takes after her daddy. She stood with a spoon and the entire bowl of queso and went to town. I am not kidding when I say she ate it by the spoonful. She is a double dipping queen!

Christmas is almost here!

If this doesn't look like trouble then I am not sure what does! This morning it was raining, and so we were stuck inside... The kids played well together. I asked them to smile for me, and this is what I got. Arms crossed and attitude!
This made me laugh pretty hard. All morning the kids were playing with the baby dolls. They were pretending to give them medicine and feed them. I guess the babies were being bad because the kids decided they needed to go in the time out corner.
This is the present the kids opened that they were not supposed to. This present has been under the tree, and still is. Claire decided she wanted to open it, so she did. it is still half wrapped waiting for Christmas. The kids go in there and play with it, hopefully when she totally unwraps it on Christmas morning she will still like it.

One of Corbin's friends got him this Transformers outfit for Christmas. HE LOVES IT! This was the best present ever for Corby. He is so in love with transformers. All we watch and talk about are robots in disguise. He got this Monday. He has worn it every day since. He has worn it to Target, to the doctors office and anywhere else we have gone this week. It really is precious, and he really thinks he is a Transformer when he is wearing it.
This past weekend we went to Clays. The kids love it so much there. It was a very nice day! June and Sophie came too which made it a super fun cousins day!

Our friend Pepi came over to visit. Usually the kids are shy around people they haven't seen in a while, but that was not this case with Pepi. Corbin called him Pepper, Pepi, Pepperoni and Fluffy! The kids really enjoyed his visit!

Corbin's Christmas Day at school and more

Today Corbin's school had a little Christmas play and visit from Santa. Corbin is only in school Tues/Wed and Thurs, but Chris took him up to school today to be a part of the play! He was an elf, and the cutest elf ever I might add. Chris videotaped the whole thing for me since I couldn't leave school today. Corbin and his class sang songs, sat with Santa and had lunch. I was very glad Corbin got to go since he has been practicing his songs so hard.
I am guessing he is telling Santa that he wants Transformers.. That is what he has been telling Santa every time we see him or write to him...
This is just something that happens daily to me, and is funny. Everyday when we get home from school they want snacks. This day they wanted fruit snacks. Corbin Batman and Claire Princess. As you can see Claire steals all of Corbin's.. Basically I am a referee from the time I get home until Chris gets home to take over...
On this day after school Claire wanted Pancakes, Cheese and crackers and grated cheese. She is the best eater ever. Corbin on the other hand has a few favorites and that is it! Not sure if you can tell but Claireb is getting over a black eye. Last weekend we were at Chick fil A playland and she slipped and hit her eye on a step. She instantly got a bruise and over the week it has crept under her eye. Luckily it is almost gone...
This I love. Both my precious babies. On this particular day they napped togeether in Claire's bed. Often they say they want to sleep in the same room, but they end up playign and we have to kick them out into their own beds. They love each other very much, and play well most of the time. As you can barely see in this picture Corbin still has his dog dog that he loves so much and uses as a pillow and Claireb still has ber silky!

Happy 79th Birthday Poof!

We wanted to wish a Happy Birthday to Poof! Corbin and Claire's great grandmother is 79 today! This time of year is full of birthdays in the Barrow family! Poof's is today then we have PawPaws on Christmas Eve and Nana's New Years day! baby Caroline will be here in January with Uncle Brian and Aunt Natalie's birthday soon after! **** My sweet niece baby Shelby Grace will be here anyday!


*** We had a fun weekend at our house! I didn't lug my camera around this weekend, so you will just have to read rather than see in pics! Saturday we watched my niece Sophie. The kids had a great time playing and making a mess. You should have seen the mess Claire, Corbin and Sophie were able to make! The most important thing is they had fun! Yesterday we went to lunch with Poof and the rest of the fam for her birthday. Later on the kids went to a cookie decorating/playdate party with all the kids they go to the babysitter with. We were there from 3-7! The kids fell asleep on the way home, and stayed asleep all night! They played so hard with all of their friends, they made precious cookies, and they made a huge mess with all the toys!

Surgery and Snow!

Today was Claire's surgery day. She had her second set of tubes put in her ears and her adenoids removed. She was supposed to have it a few weeks ago, but I panicked a little bit and had Chris cancel. I am thinking it is the fact that I am 8 months pregnant, but I was a basket case over this surgery. Corbin has had tubes twice and adenoids once, and Claire tubes once, and I was still nuts. I slept with Claire last night, she slept awful and so did I. I think the anticipation of the surgery was the worst. All in all it was successful. Recovery at after the surgery was not much fun. She had to keep her IV in for an hour, she just wanted to pull it out. She just kept wanting to switch arms between Chris and I. All day she has just been going back and forth between us. I gave her a HUGE bag of starburst and that always makes things better. She also got donut holes on the way home... Hopefully this surgery will leave us with an ear infection free holiday season!!

Corbin LOVED the snow today! He thought it was the greatest thing ever!! While Claire was sleeping off her anesthesia he was playing in the snow! He kept saying he wanted to build a snowman and a transformer with a gun... I took some video of him and Chris playing outside, pretty precious.





Corbin just ran all around the yard until his hands were frozen. Then he came in and took a bath to defrost.


When Claire woke up from her nap the yard was really covered. She wanted to go outside, but I made her stay in. She just watched the snow from the window. I took her out a little earlier all bundled up in a blanket, but I thought it might not be a good idea on surgery day!
Glad we all were home together on this winter wonderland sort of day!

Christmas Pictures!

Today my sister in law Natalie took the kids Christmas pictures. They turned out super precious. She always does such a great job on their pictures! She also took one of all the cousins together. SO ADORABLE! As soon as I figure out which is my favorite I will post it.

Thanksgiving weekend!

We spent the day yesterday at my parents house. It was really a great day. The kids loved playing with their cousins, and I liked having all my brothers and sister together which doesn't happen often with our crazy schedules. Then we came home the kids went to bed pretty early due to the busy day, and I prepared for SHOPPING! My friends from work picked me up at midnight, yes me and my 8 month pregnant self hit up Toys R Us with the rest of the world at midnight. When we drove up and the line was wrapped around the building I was a little nervous. The lines moved fast, and I got everything on my list. My sister, brother and sister in law hit up a different Toys R Us and got one thing for me I couldn't get :)! I got home at 1:30... slept from 2:30 until 5:30, then my friend picked me up for the real shopping trip! We hit up WalMart, Babies R Us, Kohls and Target. I got home at 8:30 and was WIPED OUT! Chris went out for a bit after I got home, then marathon nap day began!

Tonight Chris and I made gingerbread cookies with the kids. They really love little "projects", so we try to find fun little things for them to do. They had a good time, Claire just ate all the candy, and Corbin are a ton of icing... whatever makes the babies happy!


Chris went to WalMart tonight and bought the Disney movie UP. We all watched it, and it was pretty cute. Kind of sad, but cute. Corbin cried b/c he missed the dog in the movie. He asked if I would buy him another dog. I said yes, praying he forgets in the next day. He told me he was going to name the dog DOG DOG, and that it would help him sleep :)!
