April 2023

It's spring, and that means baseball, baseball, baseball. The boys have been loving little league and we even signed Layla up for T-ball. What I love about Goodyear Little League is that they let the kids play a couple games at the MLB spring training ball parks around the valley where they get to feel like professional ball players. The boys always love hanging out in the dug out, and we make sure to get plenty of pictures of them living their best lives.

I finally got around to getting my hernia surgery taken care of. While pregnant with Layla I developed a hernia (girlfriend was a big baby!) and it has been bothering me a lot lately. Nothing like another round in the O.R. to make you feel old and that your body is falling apart.
At Abby's dance competition I ran into Megan! We danced together at BYU on Theatre Ballet, and now we are dancers turned dance moms watching and cheering on our girls. It was so fun to see her again and catch up, and Abby did a great job shining up on the stage.

I got to cash in on my Christmas grift and go to NYC with my good friend, Celeste. Since moving into the ward we have just clicked and really hit it off, so this was a fun 3 day get away that Kyle planned and coordinated for me back in December. The weather was perfect and we were able to do a lot in the three days we were there from Radio City Hall...
To Lincoln Center and David Koch Theatre where NYCB performs...

To the Manhattan temple...

To walks around Central Park to enjoy all the blossoms...
To late night bus tours around the city and over the Brooklyn Bridge...

Ferry rides out to see the Statue of Liberty...

Visiting the 911 Memorial...

Times Square and a bike ride around Times Square...

Watching the Broadway Musical Six...
Little Italy and Chinatown for some yummy food...

We definitely made the most of our time and got to see and do a lot. I really enjoy our friendship and love that Celeste was up for coming with me on this adventure. Till next time NYC.

We had a wonderful Easter all together back in Arizona, and the spring weather has been amazing. I love Easter and the message that we will all be resurrected again. Because of our Savior the grave has no victory and we will all get to be with our families forever. What an amazing gift and promise. It is that beautiful promise that keeps me going and gives me hope.

While I have been teaching ballet, Kyle has really stepped up and become the "fun" dad. I am grateful to be married to a man who loves his kids with his whole heart. He will do just about anything for them and sacrifices so much so that they can live a better life than us. I hope they one day realize how much their dad did for their benefit and how he always did it out of love.
