Louisiana Shrimp Boil!

Thank you Phil and Beth Settle for inviting us to your cool party which happened to be on your Anniversary! We had so much fun!

O.k...so this shrimp boil thing was so awesome!

Step 1...boil a huge pot of water

Step 2...put in red potatoes, wait 10 min.

Step 3...put in cobs of corn, wait 10 min.

Step 4...put in kilbasa sausage, wait 10 min.

Step 5...put in shrimp for 3 min.

Step 6...dump in a bag of ice to kill the temp. and stop the cooking process

Step 7...let set about 10 min.

Step 8...drain and dump onto tables covered in newspaper!

Step 9...everyone sit around the tables and pig out...No utensils!

SO DELICIOUS!! The flavor was amazing!

Our kids slept in 'til 8:15 on Christmas morning!!! That was my favorite present! Oh...and my parents arrived too! My other favorite present! The kids woke up and were surprised by Santa's gifts AND Mimi and Papa were downstairs too! My mom avoided the camera all morning, but I got a few of my dad! The kids were thankful for their gifts...especially the Wii from Mimi and Papa!

We cooked a prime rib for dinner! It was delicious! We weren't quite sure how to do it because we had heard it was hard. It wasn't hard at all! We just rubbed it down with marinade and seasonings, cooked it in the oven at 350 for 2 and a half hours (it was 7 1/2 lbs), and it was perfect! I actually had nothing to do with it...my dad and Aaron did it all:)

Christmas Eve 2008

Another fun Bishop Family Christmas Eve! We hosted the party this year! We had a fun evening of tri-tip dinner, holiday charades, singing Christmas carols, Aaron's famous annual Christmas mega-mix performance, and a gift exchange!
