Merry Christmas Eve!!

Well, here it is.  The annual PJ picture for you all to view.  This is a tradition in our family that was passed down from Grandma Shirley who always made pajamas for her children.  Bryon told me it was one of his favorite Christmas Traditions growing up.

My Cabinets are here, My cabinets are here.  They are so beautiful.
The craftsmanship is excellent.  It makes the place look like a home.  I can't wait to start cooking and baking and having a fire and doing crafts.  Here are some pictures.

A Snowman in the Apartment?!?

Yes, even in a temporary apartment you can have Christmas.  I love Christmas!  It is the time of giving and magic and miracles.  So we did decorate and we have both a tree and a snowman in our apartment. Take a look at the pictures below.

Amanda's Princess Breakfast

At Maple Grove Senior High, there is a fundraiser for the choirs and it is a Disney Character breakfast. The choir members sell tickets and then they dress up as Disney Characthers and the parents help serve a breakfast to the guests.  The kids get an autograph book and can go to all of the characters they want to get signatures.  It was a really fun event and I think the high school kids had as much fun as the little kids.  Josh thought it was great.
The costumes were very inventive.  I wish I had gotten pictures but I was in the kitchen.  Bryon did get one of Amanda and him.  She is Rapuzel.

I realized it has been a long time since I last updated.  In that time we have had alot happen to the house.  Most of it is inside though.  Although we did add a front porch which I love.

Update on the Bowers home

Here are some new pictures of the house.  The real roof is on now.  It really has all of the outside framing completed and windows are in.  I like this look because it shows the cool architecture.  Inside they have completed the electric rough in, the plumbing, rough in, and the cable/tv/telephone lines rough in.  The place is really starting to take shape.  I have included a picture of the arch over the fireplace.  The fireplace is also in.  It is exciting to go there and walk through each day and see new things done.  All of the people MacDonald contracts with are so nice and professional.  If we see something that we don't like they are really good about changing it.  They even sweep up when they are done and throw their trash in the container outside.  It is nice when you have a good feeling about those who are working on your house.

Halloween

 Josh at the fish pond at the church fall festival.  He really liked getting his face painted and playing all of the games.

 Someone in our ward dressed as two pepsi cans and straws.  I thought is was such a great costume.  I really thought a lot of people really put some time and thought into their costumes.  I just didn't get many pictures.  One dad was the Jolly Green Giant and his newborn son was a peapod. How cute is that. Another family were all dressed as the Allstate man, but each one was from a different commercial.  That was funny.

My crazy kids.  Adrianna is a mad scientist (used from Austin Peterson's awesome costume last year) , Josh is of course a cowboy,  Amanda is Rapunzel,  Aaron is Harry Potter, April is a nerd.

Adri Turns 10

Adrianna Nicole Bowers turned 10 years old on October 20th.  She had a three day birthday.  Friday we took her and her friends to the Waterpark of America on Friday for a friend birthday.  On Saturday we opened presents and had a great breakfast of her choosing.  On Sunday she had her surf and turf dinner and cake and ice cream with the Hobbs.  It was a fun and busy weekend.  Double digits now my love!

Our Weekend with the Falks

Last weekend, Amy, April and Aaron came up to Minnesota to surprise the kids and spend some time with us.  We were all soo excited.  We went to the ward Fall Festival together, visited Minnesota's largest candy store, and played at the waterpark.  It was a great weekend.  It is funny how sometimes it is just nice to visit with someone who knows some of your past.  We had a good time catching up and it was as if we never left.  Thank you Amy for making it happen.

We have a roof!!

I can't believe it has been half a month since I posted some pictures of the house.  When they are framing, things go up so fast.  The roof went on today. So here are some pictures of what has happened since Oct. 17th.  Now it really looks like a house.
One day we'll make it a home.
