Dads visit

My Dad came to visit all the way back in November, I know I'm so bad at keeping the blog updated but here it is now!
I love dad and am so thankful that he was able to come for a couple days.

The first thing I did when we got home was take this pic of dad in Our LBC

I was so happy to have him come see our new place and the area we have come to settle down in for a while. Love you Dad, good luck on being the New President of your association!

I was able to see my girl friends for a bit, but I forgot to take a pic.

The day after the wedding we were able to see my sis and her kids at Charlies creamery.

The Boehme Family always keeps us laughing. Even for forty-five minutes.
Also Cassie was good enough to drive all the way up and visit for one night, which meant a lot to me. We laughed a lot too :)

Dave and I are so grateful for Tom and Kathie for helping us fly home for Richards wedding.
It was truly a great time spent with family for a very special occasion.

Deep Creek Lake

A couple months ago Dave and I rented a cabin with some friends in Western Virginia.
We were a little nervous since we didn't know a bunch of the people at first, but they all turned out to be so nice and we had a great time with everyone.

This is the view from the cabin. Tons of trees and a beautiful lake.

One morning, gettin ready for breakfast, I found my cute lil friend crawlin around.
She is the sweetest gal, I could hold her for ages!!

We all hiked to some falls. It was very refreshing to be out in the clear air, enjoying the scenery.

We all went to a haunted house one of the nights that I must say I handled pretty well thanks to Dave, Britni, and Richy!!

And then we went on the Alpine Slide which, of course, was awesome. Especially in the dark, which I have never done.

Our last lunch together before we headed home. There were two other couples that left a lil earlier so obviously, not in the picture.
It was so fun to hang out in the mountains like we're so used to.
And it was so fun to make new friends. Heaven knows I love doin that :)

Our Place

Here are a couple pics of our home. I would have liked to take more of our building and stuff, but I don't think mom can wait anymore haha. So here are some of where we spend most of our time.

Note Daves roll top desk that took two full days to move up here (fourth and top floor, but we do have an elevator so that's good, but still, moving the thing was horrid.)

The kitchen has been updated nicely, which we are thankful for.

It's a great place to live. Dave and I feel very blessed to be where we are and to be settled somewhere for the next couple years hopefully.
