Halloween 2011

Just a Few Pictures:)

We went to the Fall Carnival where they were doing face paintings. The kids waned them so bad that it didn't even bother them that we had to wait almost 2 hours for our turn! Brooklyn picked a green dragon, they offered to do a "girly" dragon but she said "No Way!" Ava is a princess and Cros is Spiderman! Ava Mava lost her 1st tooth! She was so excited to get a dollar and went to the store right away to buy a jump rope!

Brooklyn's Baptism

Our sweet Brooklyn got baptized last weekend. We are so proud of her and the decision she made. She is a great girl and a good example to her younger brother and sister!

Brooklyn is 8!

It's hard to believe that Brooklyn is 8! I don't know where the time has gone. She just laughs whenever anyone says that to her though. She has been looking forward to her eighth birthday for a long time! I think she really enjoyed her birthday and is now looking forward to her baptism in a few more weeks.
We were lucky to be up north with family that weekend so we had quite the crew for her birthday dinner. Da and Papa, Aunt Callie and Uncle Tyler, Chase, Kellen, Granny Jo and Grandpa, Uncle Colin, Aunt Kelly, Hayden, and Carson! We took her to Mayan because she loves to see the divers and other performers. Grandma Da gave her this super cute birthday outfit! Here are some pictures from her big day.

Bk came down with a bad tummy ache by the end of the night, I'm sure it had to do with all the sugar she had that day. The poor girl wasn't feeling very well though:(

Let's Not Leave Out Crosby!

Even Crosby gets to go to school! He started preschool this week! My neighbor started a preschool so every Tuesday and Thursday we walk 2 blocks to his school. Which also means...I have 4 hours of kids free time a week:) He loves it! He comes home and puts all his art work on the fridge and talks about Mrs. Kim and all the kids in his class.

Ava's Big Day

It's here! Ava's been waiting to go to "real" school for a long time! She loved everything about it. It's funny what they think is important to tell you when they get home. She told be how they can get drinks by counting, "one banana, two banana, three banana, SPLIT!" and then they're done. She also liked the pink jacket her teacher was wearing, and her new friend that she met named...Brooklyn:) She's also been excited about the bus but I made her wait 1 day so I could take her and pick her up myself. I just can't believe how fast they're growing:(

Tuachan

Ah, Tuachan! I look forward to this all year. It is so pretty there with all the red rock and they always put on a good show! We went to see The Little Mermaid. The kids were so excited to see how they were going to do everything, since so much of it is in the water. They did a really great job! Of course, we had the 4 tallest people EVER come and sit right in front of us! The kids all gravitated toward me and Denim so we constantly had a kid on our lap. Which usually isn't so bad unless you're in 105 degree weather!:0 The kids were so good though even with the extra late night. The show didn't get over until 11:45 then we had to drive back home. We rolled into Cedar around 1:00am on a school night, the night before Ava big first day of Kindergarten! It was worth it though!

Before the show some of the cast members put on a little show. Brooklyn got called up to be a pirate. She put on a hat and patch and they gave her a sword to hold. Then they did a lot of singing:) After the show some of the crowd came and talked to Brooklyn about it. She told me, "I'm famous!" It was cute!

Friday Night Yoga

I put a movie on for the kid's "Friday Night Movie" but they soon figured out I was downstairs doing a little "Friday Night Yoga" and they just had to join. Notice they used their blankets as their mats:)

BK's First Day

Brooklyn started school on Thursday. She was excited and nervous! She had her clothes picked out for days. I worried about her all day but she did just fine:) I can't believe I have a second grader! Time is going way too fast!

Oh really?

I told the kids that they needed to go clean their rooms and to NOT come out until they were done! About 5 minutes later Cros came out. dressed in his boots and cowboy hat. In his low, adult voice voice he said, "Hi! I'm Woody. Don't worry, I left the kid in his room to clean."
How can you get angry at that?!

Island Park Reunion

Our Lyman Family Reunion was in Island Park, ID this year. We had a full week together and had a blast!

We hung out at the cabin...

and did our family talent shows,

rode the RZR and 4-wheelers,

had wiffle ball competitions,

and got eaten alive by bugs!

We went to Yellowstone,

saw Old Faithful,

Spotted wildlife like bison, bald eagles, long horn sheep, elk, this grizzly bear and one was even lucky enough to see a grey wolf:)

In West Yellowstone we went to the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center and got to see grizzlies and wolves up close.

We spent some time in the car driving to our destinations.














Mesa Falls was a family favorite!

Also, Big Springs at Macks Inn,

and the hot springs at Yellowstone.

The kids were always most happy when we would stop for a break!

It was sad to say goodbye after a week of fun, but we can't wait for our next reunion in 2013! Disneyland, here we come!
