.Preschool.

 

Brynn started her second year of preschool at the Utah State University extension this year.  I've actually had her on their waiting list since she was 6 months old!  Crazy!  I loved her teachers and class last year at Community so I was hopeful that her new class would be just as great.  They had an orientation the week before that basically was for her to get familiar with the classroom.  We stayed for almost and hour and she LOVED it.  She didn't want to go come time, so that was a good sign.  One of her teachers also came to our home for a visit before school started.  She gave me more information about the program and talked to Brynn about how things would go.  She was sweet and went up to look at Brynn's room before she left.  Tuesday was the first day of school and her teacher Ms. Dana came and got her out of the car.  It went very smoothly which was so nice.  Half the class went on Tuesday and the other on Wednesday and then everyone attended on Thursday and Friday.  She was a little more hesitant to go on Thursday, but went without too much fuss.  So far, so good!

Sunday we celebrated our most wonderful Dad ever!!!  Josh didn't have meeting that morning so he got to sleep in a bit which for him is a real treat.  The kids and I got up and made him waffles (his favorite).  I was on the ball this year and had ordered him some fancy beef jerky which I had ready for him on his special day.  I could not have picked a better man to be my babies father!  They are so, so lucky and so am I.  We both have such similar parenting styles, we hardly ever argue about things when it comes to our kids.  Everyone who knows Josh, knows he's a big kid himself!  He is such a fun Dad and gives each of our kids oodles and oodles of attention.  Brynn is borderline obsessed with her Dad and mauls him daily...and he loves every minute of it!

Friday was our 11th wedding anniversary!  We celebrated a few weeks earlier with a nice dinner before baby came.  We had Vivi's ultrasound scheduled at the hospital that afternoon.  I loaded the girls up and went over to get it done.  Josh was able to meet us during on his way home from work.  It wasn't too bad.  I had to hold Vivi on each side and then they took a picture of her bladder.  She screamed her head off, but I knew it didn't hurt so it made me feel a little better.  We were told we should hear back from our doctor as early as Monday with the results.  I got a call from the nurse Monday who said that everything 'looks good'.  I was SO relieved to hear that and just had a few more questions when I went in for Vivi's 2 week check up on Friday.  What a blessing, all that worry for nothing!

It turns our she does have 2 ureters from her kidney to her bladder on her left side.  The Dr. said its nothing to worry about and that most people who have this never even know they do.  He said the only time they ever really found it before is when they were doing autopsy's.  I guess with modern imaging they are seeing this more often.

 Having a new baby in the home is such an amazing experience.  I think we all just soaked up her new sweetness and enjoyed every minute of it.  We had a few visitors, Aunt Katie came up on Monday and Grandma Kerry came up for the day on Wednesday.  She did some shopping for me at wal-mart which was much appreciated.  I got a phone call from Amy asking if they could stop by for a minute which was quite a surprise.  Vivi met Will for the first time, even though they were both sleeping!

Josh took Monday off work and took the kids into the skate park and to lunch while I rested at home.  

.welcome home.

We started our day bright and early, Vivi and I.  The kids all bounded into our bedroom right when they got up to see their new baby.  We spent a lazy Sunday in bed and passing her around so everyone could have lots of newborn snuggle time.  Vivi was borderline jaundice when we left the hospital so Josh took her in to get her bilirubin tested that afternoon (her first outing).  We gave her a bath in the bathroom sink that night.
