Things I want to Remember

WOW....the poor ole blog has been greatly neglected. I guess I have been using Instagram to keep track of our day to day happenings more than the blog. I feel like my kids are at such cute ages right now and they do and say so many cute things, that I want to write them down so I can remember them. Jaxon (22 months) --says thank you for EVERYTHING and I mean everything....when I lay him down at night in his crib he will say thank you, when I bring him inside the house from the car he will say it, and so and so on --blows kisses on command --anytime I ask him for a kiss he leans his little forehead into my face so I can kiss it --if you tell him to go to time out he runs to the corner and fake cries, turns around and smiles at you and runs off --getting good at taking things to the trash can --if you ask him if he's ready to go night-night, he runs over to the gate at the stairs and waits for you to open it so he can crawl right up --when you tell him to fold his arms, he puts both hands on his tummy and bows his head Other things I want to remember about him at this age.... --throws things ALL the time....everything is a ball and is to be thrown....including his cup....(drives me NUTS) --is just now finally starting to wear size 4 diapers --drinks whole milk 2-3 cups a day --is a GREAT eater....loves hot dogs, string cheese, chicken spaghetti, mac n cheese, apple sauce, animal crackers, apple sauce, chicken nuggets, green beans, peas, corn, and etc. --only weighs 21.8 lbs and is in 75th percentile for height --wears 12-18/18-24 month clothes and still actually has 2 pairs of 6-12 month pants! --takes one nap a day 12:45-3/4 --bed at 8pm till 7-8am --LOVES to play with balls and cars and always has one in his hands --will only sit still to watch Frozen...not the whole movie, but parts of it! Chloe (4.5 years old) --always wants to say the prayer and prays with her eyes open....as she says the prayer she looks around the room and if something catches her eye, she will say something about it in the prayer....it's really quite cute and funny --has such a great imagination and is always "pretending" something --has gotten quite particular in how she wants her hair fixed....yesterday she wanted pig tails but in balls (buns) --talks and talks and talks....there is no end to her talking or vocabulary! --very into "beating" us...everything is a competition right now and it's quite funny --she was learning about the president at preschool and her interpretation of what he does was cute....she said he holds the United States Flag! She also said if she were president she would jump on a trampoline! Other things I want to remember about her at this age.... --wears 5t/5 clothes --still naps --goes to preschool 3 days a week and LOVES it --such a great eater and eats almost anything --loves to watch play doh videos on the ipad, play waitress, ride her scooter, read books, and play with her brother --finally potty trained at night...did it so easily, not sure why I ever waited! --loves to watch Mary Poppins, 101 Dalmations and Little Mermaid --absolutely adores her brother, constantly wants to play with him, know where he is at all times, help him, and take care of him I feel so fortunate to be able to stay at home with my kids and watch them learn and grow and develop! They are so precious to me and I can't imagine my life without them!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sibling Bond

I just wanted to write about the bond between Chloe and Jaxon and how it is right now. Chloe absolutely adores her brother!! If she wakes up before him in the morning or at nap time, she's always asking where he is or if she can wake him up. In fact, last Saturday (July 19th), Jaxon slept in until about 9-9:30 and Chloe was awake by 8 and she consistently asked if she could wake him up every 20 minutes. She couldn't stand the fact that he was still asleep, because she wanted to play with him so badly! She affectionately calls him "Buddy" and she kept saying, "I need to wake Buddy up, so he can play with me!" It was seriously the sweetest thing! She keeps asking to go to Gigi's house and asks if Buddy can come because she doesn't want him to be at home by himself. Jaxon loves Chloe just as much she loves him. He crawls around the house as fast as he can to keep up with her! He loves to go in her room and crawl on her bed to help me wake her up when we need to. And sometimes if he gets fussy Chloe can start singing and he gets distracted and calms right down! I have loved being home with both of them and watching them grow to love each other!

14 months

At 14 months.... -size 3 diapers...we'll probably be here forever -size 12-18 month clothes -awesome sleeper still...2 naps a day and 11-12 hours at night -SUPER eater! He seriously eats anything and everything and would eat all day long if I let him! He loves strawberry ice cream from Ham's Peach Orchard, spaghetti, chicken nuggets, mac n cheese, corn, green beans, watermelon, blueberries, and sooooo much more! -has started bear crawling and he is oh so very fast! I think that's why he's not gaining very much weight....crawls too fast! -absolutely loves his sister and follows her around everywhere! The feeling is quite mutual! -is really LOVING the water! He quite enjoys his time at the splash parks we've been going to! He kicks and splashes the water with his hands as fast as he can! -he has also just recently learned how to crawl up the stairs...as soon as I pick him up to go upstairs for a nap or anything else, he immediately tries to jump out of my arms to crawl up the stairs! WOW...time is just flying with this sweet boy! It's fun to watch him learn and discover new things everyday! We love him so much and can't imagine our lives without him!

13 months

Oh my...behind once again! At 13 months.... -size 3 diapers...we've seriously been in this size FOREVER! -size 12-18 month clothes and a few 6-12 month shirts -2 naps a day...9:15-10:45am, 12:45pm-3/4pm -super sleeper...7:30-8pm to 7/8am -SUPER duper eater!!!!!! The boy eats anything and EVERYTHING! Some favorites are bananas, blueberries, yogurt, yogurt melts, hot dogs, grilled cheese sandwiches, corn, green beans, and SO much more! Seriously...he pretty much eats anything! -started doing this weird thing when he crawls where he sticks on leg out if it's on a surface he doesn't like...ex. tile -still 6 teeth -absolutely LOVES balls and trucks/cars...he picks up a ball and throws it and crawls to it, picks it up again and throws it and crawls to it again....repeated over and over for awhile! He now unfortunately thinks he can throw everything like a ball! -SO so so happy all the time!!!! Always smiling! Jaxon is our little ray of sunshine and brings so much joy to our family! And man oh man is he growing fast!

Jaxon's 1st Birthday Party!

The theme for Jaxon's party was "Time Flies"!!!!! That is exactly how I feel about his first year of life! There was an airplane theme throughout the party! Below are the pictures...

12 months - ONE year old!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOW....I can't even believe you are ONE! Time is surely flying! You are the sweetest little boy and I just love you to pieces!!!!!!!! Stats... Weight: 19 lbs 9 oz, 24% Height: 29 3/4 in., 50% HC: 19 cm, 90% At 12 months... - size 3 diapers - crawling ALL over the place - pulling up on everything - 6 teeth, 4 bottom and 2 top - size 6-12 month/12 month clothes - eating all table food - drinking whole milk....not too sure about it - still sleeping like a champ! 2 naps a day, morning 9:15-10:45, afternoon 12:45-3/4pm, night 7:30pm-7:30/8am - smiling all the time - LOVE your sister - love bath time and crawl straight into the bathroom if you hear the water running and once we put you into the tub you kick and splash with your hands like crazy! - a big time momma's boy and very attached to me....we are working on that! All in all you are a super sweet, calm, loveable little boy! We couldn't be more happy that you are a part of our family and I'm so happy that I get to stay home with you and watch you grow and learn new things each day!!!!!! You are a pure joy and have brought so much more love and excitement to my life than I could've imagined! Sure love you my sweet baby boy!!!!! On your actual birthday we had friends over for lunch (Costco pizza and cupcakes)and went out to eat at Chili's for dinner! Then we came home and opened presents! On May 10th we had a birthday party for you and the theme was "Time Flies" and we decorated with lots of airplanes!!! That's how I felt about your first year of life...time really flew by! All of our family came and my good friend Shannon and her little boy! We had lots of yummy food and a darling cake made by Mom's Bakery in Sherman! Everyone was so generous to you and we were so grateful everyone could make it! We are blessed to have a great family and to live close by to them!!!!!

11 months!

My, oh my, where does the time go?! A week from tomorrow you will be ONE! That just does not seem possible to me! This has been the fastest year EVER! Make me sad and happy to see you growing up. I'm glad your small because that at least makes me think you will still somewhat be a baby. At 11 months... -Size 3 diapers -Size 6-12 month/12 month clothes -4, 7 oz. bottles a day, 8am, 12pm, 3:30-4pm, 7-7:30pm -eating all kinds of table foods....bread of all kinds, beans, bananas, grilled cheese sandwiches, French fries, yogurt, applesauce, and so much more and you LOVE yogurt melts -drink apple juice out of a sippy cup really well -3.5 bottom teeth! -SO close to crawling, but not all the way -slowly starting to pull up -LOVE your activity cube, lion toy, cars, and all your baby toys -2 naps a day...9:15am-10:45am, 12:45pm - 3:30/4pm, and bed 7:30-8pm -can feed yourself finger foods -still smiling ALL the time and oh so happy -first trip to the "Aggie School", as your sister says ...to see Ross get his Aggie ring! You are constantly changing and on the move in one way or the other. I couldn't be happier to be your momma and I'm so lucky to get to spend my days with you! I love you more than you'll ever know, sweet boy!
