This...

"Doubts are not wrong; they can be a step toward right. Questions are not a sign of weakness but a sign of growth. Men are not wrong when they doubt but when they fail to do something about their doubts."

helps a lot today.

So true...

I am learning to face my fears everyday, sometimes its really hard, and I wonder if I will be able to do it, but I am lucky, because I know that I am not alone.

Changes

In the next few weeks, there will be a change in my life, and I am not sure if I am ready for it, I hope it will be for a short period of time, and, like with all the changes that we have in our lives, I know it will help me to grow and to learn more about myself and the people around me, so thats what I try to think, I try to see the positive part of it, although sometimes its hard.

And the end of 2009, and the begining of the new year have also brought some other little changes in me, those changes are more personal , more from the inside (I dont know if that sentence is wrtiten correctly, but you understand me, right?), and they were a little surprise for me, but I am glad they came, because I am learning a lot, I am remebering some things that I thought I have forgotten, and sometimes I feel more in peace with myself. I dont know if I will be able to find everything that I need, but its already worthy, just for the personal growth.

I am not in the best moment of my life, but, at least, now I have a little bit of hope, and thats a lot for a person like me.

I am glad to once again remember that, as my grandma used to say: "you can always work in

We all can make a diference

"I believe in myself. I do not mean to say this with egotism or arrogance, but I believe in my capacity and in your capacity to do good, to make some contribution to this society of which we are a part. I believe that I am a child of God endowed with a divine birthright. I believe that there is something of divinity within me and within each of you. I believe that we have a godly inheritance and that it is our responsibility, our obligation, and our opportunity to cultivate and nurture the very best of these qualities within us. I do not have to be a scrub, though my work may be menial. Though my contribution may be small, I can perform it with dignity and offer it with unselfishness. My talents may not be great, but I can use them to bless the lives of others. I can be one who does his work with pride in that which comes from his hand and mind. I can be one who works with respect for my associates, for their opinions, for their beliefs, with appreciation for their problems, and with a desire to help them should they stumble. I believe in the principle that I can make a difference in this world."
(Gordon B. Hinckley, "Articles of Belief," Bonneville International Corporation Management Seminar, February 10, 1991.)

I like this quote, it helps me to remember that we all can do something to make this world a better place. I am not a very religious person, and I am not spiritual at all, but I do think that we all have a divine nature and that gives us a great potencial to do good. Sometimes its hard for me to recognize my talents (working in my self-esteem is one of my goals for this new year), but I know that everytime I use them to serve others, thats a huge blessing for me.
