Graduation

How did this happen so fast?? Lilly graduated from preschool last night.  Mom got a little teary :)  She did so good singing all of her songs.  She told me this morning she misses her friends all ready.  She is such a social bug and just loves being around friends.  I better think of things to do or this is going to be a looong summer.

Mock fun

Nicki needed 2 people to be part of a mock disaster for one of her nursing classes. I thought it sounded like a bunch of fun so Caden and I chose to be victims. We got all mangled up and headed up the stairs to be victims in a classroom. It was held at Weber State. It was so crazy to watch. It was chaotic!

Here are my injuries. I had a gash on my forehead and then burns all on my arm. Once I took this picture I thought it was a little weird that I was smiling! :)

Cadens injury. He had to hide his so that when the response team rolled him over then the injury was discovered.

Fish

Since we have a pool I needed to get Lilly into swimming lessons. It would calm my fears more if she knew how to swim to the side. She has been going now for 2 weeks and is doing so well. She can swim from the side on the far left of the picture all the way to the blue rope by herself. She is doing to good!! Ryker is also in swim lessons. This picture was taken while he was in the pool. He is learning the breast stroke. He is quite the swimmer! He has the front stroke down perfect. It is a hectic 4 weeks while swim goes on but they love to be in the pool. Only a few more weeks and we can open ours!! :)

Charli and Lilly

We are real farmers now I tell you!! We have 6 chickens {well 7 but 1 is a boy so we have to get rid of it} Lilly loves the chickens. Her favorite is Charli. Lilly hasn't had the best success with animals. She fed the fish a bottle of vitamins...twice. I was a little nervous about getting them seeing how Lilly loves any kind of animal. {spiders included...no fear} After school today I was picking up the house and I heard some loud but distant chirping. I looked out the window to see Lilly running from the neighbors house with her stroller. As she got closer I saw a little chicken head poking up. She had take Charli for a little stroll around the neighborhood! I will be surprised if this chick makes it to egg laying time. Lilly might have her in a bike basket next.

Easter Fun

Easter this year was so fun! Aunt Cindy planned a picnic at the park. There isn't a Carter family party without a game or two. This year we had a bubble blowing contest. It was fun and creative. We all brought our own picnic lunch and then went to watch Jason fly his airplane. It was a great start to the Easter weekend.

Lilly told me that we needed to dye eggs and it needed to be done at Nana's house. I called my Mom and told her of Lilly's needs. What Lilly wants she gets!! Ryker is at the age where I kind of had to talk him into it...he loved it inside I am sure of it. He was very specific on how he wanted his eggs to look. It was a fun activity.

Easter morning we woke up and had cinnamon rolls. We had to go to church early to practice with the ward choir. Jason, Ryker, and I sing in it. We have a great ward choir. After church {no meetings!! Yipee} we went to Jason's side of the family. We had chicken and potatoes. The kids had a Easter egg hung after dinner with an adult one mixed in. It was fun to look for treats. After the hunt we had FHE. Jeralee gave us all an envelope with papers in it. We had to write what we thought was special about each member of the family. We all got the papers that were written about us. They were neat to read and will be a treasure. We had a great Easter. I also got my baby fix because I got to hold a new baby cousin Payton. She was so cute!! Can't have more of my own so I need to get my fix elsewhere!!

Starting over

Starting over...yesterday at church we talked about journals and writing everything down...I got a pit in my stomach. Here it has been almost a year since I have documented anything. We have had vacations, holidays, a new niece, so many memories and I haven't recorded anything. I do have the pictures all sitting on my computer but the thought of having to make all these blog posts is overwhelming. So I am going to take the advise of my Sunday School teacher and just start again today. Maybe someday when I have time again I will go back and catch up. These two pictures are the most recent.

Lilly is absolutely in love with whipped cream. She could eat it by the Cool Whip container. If she sees cream she comes running!!

Ryker is doing a drug test for a doctors office. He suffers from extreme anxiety and was invited to do this study for a new medication. He had to be taken completely off of his Prozac and then start this new drug. It was a rough couple weeks for us. He is paid quite a bit of money each visit so all he can see are the dollar signs. I think I need to be paid as well!! lol He has his blood drawn so this picture of him is with the numbing cream on waiting for it to work. It is a 35 week study so it takes quite some time. The doctor says that this drug is working miracles so I am hoping Ryker will have a quiet calm mind when this is over.

Pool Party

This summer we decided to get a pool. It has been so much fun. It has also been a lot of work. Jason did most of it. On the few days that I was able to help I about died!! It was heavy and dirty and heavy and dirty...ya!! It has been so worth it though. I am not sure if we will get to swim since it has turned cooler...we were hoping to use it into October but the water is too cold. I hope Summer starts early next year :)
