Hello everyone! I ran across our blog today and realized that I have seriously neglected it. Zoe was 18 months old in my last post. LOL I have been adding our life updates to Facebook but know that many of you are not connected to the Facebook world. So I'm going to try to be diligent about adding updates to the blog as well. The newest things going on in our life right now are that Hollie just turned one and is on the go and that Zoe is about to turn five and will start kindergarten next week. I can't believe that our babies are growing up so quickly. They are so much fun! :)

Zoë on her new quad

Zoë got a new Princess quad from her Auntie Ronna and Uncle Chris for Christmas. The first night she could not work it on her own so Auntie Ronna ran through the house with her. Now she has learned to push the button on her own and drives all around the house. She is so proud of herself but the dogs are not so thrilled. :)

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year Everyone! We look forward to 2010 being a great year for our family. We hope the economy takes a turn for the better and that we get to spend most of our time with family and friends. We spent New Year's Eve with our sister Lacey and brother Jason and with our friends Matt and Jessica. We had a fun time and even got stuck in a snow bank while attempting to drive up a mountain to see the Reno fireworks. We all had fun but boy did I realize the next day that I am too old for that kind of fun. :) Zoë made it almost all the way til midnight but passed out in the car during our adventure up the mountain. :) The other pictures that you see are: Zoë sporting her new doggy outfit from Grandma Berta and also Zoë wearing my high heels. There are also pictures of Zoë playing with her friend Helen. We met Helen's parents in child birthing class and have been hanging out ever since-the girls are only 10 days apart. It is so fun to watch them now that they are actually old enough to play on their play date. :) Hope everyone had a great New Year and here's wishing you a Happy and Healthy 2010. :)

Christmas at the Carone's

We had a very nice Christmas at our house this year. My parents came over Christmas Eve and we had chili with cornbread and watched a movie. We all got up Christmas morning and opened tons of presents-we were spoiled as usual. :) Zoë was so much fun this year as she finally understands the concept of opening presents. We actually had to stop her from opening all of the presents for the entire week before. We did take Zoë to see Santa and as you can see she was NOT impressed. She wasn't really scared of him but we woke her up a few minutes before from a very short nap so she was totally out of it. My grandparents were able to join us for Christmas dinner which I was so happy about as my grandpa had a health scare at Thanksgiving but has finally been released from the hospital/therapy center and is recovering nicely at home. :) It is always a blessing to share the holidays with family. Of course we missed being with Scott's family and my brother and Ronna but they were in our thoughts. We hope you all had a great Christmas. :)

My brother, Chris received such a great honor today-Sparks Police Officer of the Year! We are so proud!!!

So sleepy!

Zoë had decided to give up her morning nap but she's not quite ready to make it to lunch time. Her teacher keeps telling me that she falls asleep half way through lunch but this is the first time we have seen it. :)

Snow Day!

We got a day off of work and school today for a snow day. It is VERY rare that my work closes on account of snow so we are taking full advantage of it. Zoë had so much fun scooping up snow and trying to drink it. :)
