Home improvements

February has been the month of home improvements.  I finally got Taylor on board and interested in updating our home, YAY!!!!!!!!! My first project was the banister. It was a lot of work but I love the end result!

After I painted the banister we painted all the open space upstairs (the loft, hallway, and wall going up the stairs).  Sorry I forgot to take before and after pictures.

The next project has been my favorite.  I ripped out all the old tile, replaced the backer-board, painted  the mantle, and then re-tiled the fireplace and floor in front of the fire place.  I love our new fireplace.  It changes our family room!

 The next project was the power room.  This has been the biggest project but it needed to be done. We tore out all the tile, baseboards, wallpaper, counter top, sink, toilet, mirror, and light fixture.  We replaced the tile with wood tile, painted the vanity and replace the top, installed a new toilet, painted the walls, replaces the baseboards, and  framed the mirror.  It looks so much better then before!

 We are planning on starting work in the laundry room next.  Then we will work on the kids bathroom, master bath, and kitchen.

Kate is 10 months old

 Kate is now 10 months old.  The biggest change is that she now sleeps through the night!  Hooray! We finally had to sleep train her.  She cried for three nights and have been sleeping through the night ever since. 

 She is very strong and likes to stand.

Her big brother and sister love her to pieces and take great care of her.  This picture is evidence of their love and care  of her.....no wonder she has no desire to be moble!

January

 We spent a cold day at the park.  Kate loved her first time on the swings.  She is a little adrenalin junky!  It is fun to watch her come out of her shell a little bit more. 

 Aunt Cami left on her mission.  This picture is from the last family dinner before she left.  We are so proud of her decision to go and serve the Lord and the people of south Florida. 

 Grandma Neta and Grandpa Ernie stopped by for an evening on a layover before their cruise.

 My friend and I have started doing the incline in Castle Rock once a week.  I love it!

Kate is 9 Months Old

 I can't believe this sweet little peanut is 9 months old.  She is sweet and content.  She still doesn't do much in the way of being mobile.  Why be mobile when you can be cute and your siblings will bring you what you want? She can sit, and she rolls over on occasion. She likes to watch what is going on and seems to be fairly somber.  She LOVES her mom and wants nothing to do with anyone else when she can see me. She still isn't sleeping through the night. But we love her to pieces and are so glad she is ours!
