It wouldn't be a trip to the Ranch without Chris going hunting with my brother...They thought they were pretty cool stuffing two Elk in the back of the Ranger at the same time. In the end they gave them to some guy who insisted on paying them $25 so they went out to eat. Chris and Jake had the better end of the deal since they got to shoot them and didn't have to take care of them!

Temple Square/Tucano's

We were able to go to Temple Square this year with most of my family. It was so pretty. I love walking around even with all the people. We went out to eat at Tucano's at the Gateway. It was so good. I think I ate more than Chris! :) It's a good thing I'm nursing. Then we hopped on the Trax. Oh and by the way I was sick of being blonde so I had Cami color my hair.

I made Sophie this cute little fleece hat and attempted to make gloves but I ran out of time before we had to leave. Jamie and I were the tough ones packin our little babies so we had to document this! haha

I have been so camera happy these days! So Enjoy all these fun pictures! I have loved this last week of Christmas parties and just hanging out with the people I love. I hope you have all had a Merry Christmas!!!!!!

We didn't do a Christmas card this year so we figured we'd just post one! :) This is Sophie's Christmas dress she wore Sunday. She was so adorable.

My brother Joe bought Isaac a Saint Bernard puppy for Christmas. He was only ten weeks old and already so big!!!!! Sophie thinks she wants to crawl. She likes to hang out like this but I don't want her to start crawlin quite yet...

Sophie's first Christmas...We had her get her stuff out of her stocking and unwrap her presents..at least attempt to :) She mostly just liked to suck on the ribbon. She was by far the best thing to happen to us this year! We were spoiled this year for Christmas...but I'm not complainin lol I'm just grateful!

This year for Christmas we went and bought a tree from the USU. I was pretty excited because they had the most Charlie Brown trees I had ever seen! A homely little tree is my favorite kind. We obviously don't have a truck so we went to get our tree to put on our car...and oops we didn't have a rope either so we stuck it inside! haha It was pretty funny. The people behind us were laughing pretty hard. When we got it home we had to trim it of course so we used and old knife to saw it. There's nothing like being young married college kids with nothing! :0) We couldn't be happier.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. I'm not sure if it's just because of all the good food or the fun times with family...This year we were with Chris' family. We played in the Turkey Bowl his family has every year before dinner. Chris and I were on seperate teams so it made it a little more competitve for me. We didn't keep score but I'm sure we won. lol We also were able to go down and see Ben and Tiffany's house they are building now. It is going to be so nice. Then on saturday we went up to spend some time with my family. Sophie was so sick of traveling so it helped to break up our trip.
The scariest thing happened Sophie got CROUP!!! I remeber getting it as a kid but it is much scareir when your little baby gets it and can't breath. Thanks to humidifiers and cold air outside we were able to break up some of the congestion. Thankfully she's getting better now because I don't know how much longer I could have gone with her being awake all throughout the night coughing.
I was finally able to go see Sarah and her beautiful little girl Harlie! It had been a long time and we were finally able to catch up. They finished building their house and moved in. I miss not living close to my friends but I guess its part of growing up! :)

5 Months

Sophie is now 5 months old! She sits up, rolls over from her stomach, is very active and likes to see whats going on and loves to talk and blow bubbles. She is so good and keeps herself entertained whenever I have something to get done.

New things!

We have been super busy soakin up the lovely sun this last week. We have been going on walks with Robin and Brynn, hangin out at the park, gathering pinecones, making bread, painting our furniture (finally!!!) and just relaxing. Sophie is the sweetest thing ever! I can't even begin to say how much I love this girl! She keeps me sane while Chris is studying...haha

This little lady sits up now! She gets a little wobbly after awhileWe were practicing her rolling but she can't quite get it on her own. I love this face! I get the same look from Chris sometimes! haha

The monumental first rice cereal feeding!! Sophie did very well and seems to like it. Everytime her daddy is around she looks up at him with so much love. She's usually all smiles too whenever he's around. Its so fun to watch.

This is a shout out to Robin....since she left us up here all week while she went to visit. You are an amazing sister-in-law!!! Thanks for everything! We have so much fun with you and Brynn. We miss you and can't wait for you to come home!!!

For halloween we went to a trunk or treat and Chris and the boys helped in the spook alley my sister put on so Jamie, Misha, Larissa and I went and watched a horribly pyschotic movie on tv since the boys were all gone. But it was still fun hanging out together! I figured I'd post this sweet picture of Jamie and her family cuz I loved their costumes...haha

I went hunting for the first time!! This picture is kinda old but Chris was finally able to get me out there with him. We only went for a few hours and I actually liked it. It kicked my butt hiking all over but it was absolutely beautiful watching the sun come up.

And this is Sophie's pose these days. She would sit there and hold her legs all day long if I'd let her! I still can't get her to roll over. She is getting closer though. She also sits up pretty good. I'll get a picture of that later...oh yeah we also fed her rice cereal for the first time! She did very well at eating it and seemed to like it. I love learning new things and its even funner watching her learn too! She is so much more vocal these days and I'm starting to really see her personality! So much fun!!!

Halloween Night

A lot has been happening lately....so I'll catch up real quick. We had family pictures last weekend and with ten kids and all their kids it takes quite awhile but it was a lot of fun and I'm anxios to see how they turned out. I took Sophie in for her 4 month checkup. She weighed 11lbs 10 oz and was 24 1/2 inches long. She's a little runt but I love it! I love being a mom because I'm actually kinda crafty now. I struggle with the whole creativeness but I am getting better! I never imagined doing such things because I was so involved in sports all my life. I made some really cute pumpkins and christmas presents last week.

I still don't know what Sophie's going to be for halloween. I figured I'd wait til this week to find something since they'd all be on sale.

This last week I had to chance to go see my best friend Lacey get sealed to her husband and beautiful baby in the Manti temple! It was amazing! I'm so happy for you guys. Thanks for letting me be a part of your special day.

So lately we've been finishing decorating our apartment going on lots of walks before it gets too cold. We've been baking bread at Robin's and having lots of fun. Every once in awhile Chris is able to spend some time with us which is always wonderful! Sophie laughs a lot now and likes to stand up.
This weekend our hill caught on fire after my dad had started burning some junk we've had around. It was pretty eventful with 4 fire trucks and all the boys here on the ranch working to get in under control. Luckily Chris say it early so they got in under control before it got too big. We also had a game night friday with Jamie and Nick, Jake and Cami, Tucker and Misha, and Jamo and Larissa. We had a lot of good laughs between Mad Gab and Catch Phrase. We watched conference with my family. There is nothing like being with your family for conference...

Sophie will be three months old this week. Its so fun watching her learn and develop. She likes to hold on to things now and cooes all the time with a yell and growl mixed in. I'm afraid she'll be quite a momma's girl since Chris is at school all day and its mostly just thw two of us. I have been learning how to be quite crafty these days...I learned how to make bows and I'm obsessed with it so if anyone wants to learn I would love to teach you.

Sophie had so much fun looking at the toys on this chair. It was so cute, she was making so much noise and moving her arms and legs.

So after a lot of packing and unpacking we are finally settled into our new apartment! Me and Chris were laughing the other day how this is our 5th apartment we've lived in during the last 2 years...and there will be many more! Sophie has been getting so much more interactive these last couple weeks. Its so fun listening to her make noise and she even growls! It's the funniest thing ever. She's always smiling now and it makes me feel so loved! Chris is overwhelmed in his new classes but working hard and me and Sophie go for walks and work on crafts! haha tough lifr huh? Cami had her baby on the 24th...Gavin Scott Rees. He was 8 lbs! Poor Cami! And some more exciting news...My brother's ex finally signed the divorce papers after 2 years!! I have never seen him so happy in a long time! We finally have the line up of the 5 babies born this last year in my family. It's amazing the size difference...

2 months

This summer has gone by so fast! Chris starts school again monday so we'll be moving this weekend. Sophie went in for her two month check up last week. She's growing but still very small! She weighed 9 lbs 6 oz and 22 in. She is smiling and cooing more and more everday! I love listening to her play while I'm busy cleaning or something. So everyone thinks Sophie looks just like her dad...what do you think?? This picture really does I think...

Here are 4 of the 5 grandkids that have been born this last year. Cami's baby should be here sometime this week. It just amazes me how much size difference there is in the first year. This picture makes me laugh because Kate was beating up on the boys and making them cry and Sophie was just in her own little world doing some dance moves.

2 Year Anniversary!

On the 18th we will have been married for two years! It has been so much fun. And I have definitely learned so so much. I have the sweetest husband and I'm so grateful for all of his hard work! We went and stayed at the Alaskan Inn up Ogden Canyon for a night. We went out to eat at Sizzler because we have recently realized how good it is for cheap. Then got some snacks and went back to watch a movie.

They had some peach sparkling cider waiting for us so I wanted to get a picture of us saying cheers and Chris just thought I was crazy. Luckily I was able to get a decent one.

We had so much fun being able to get away for a night...thanks to my mom and dad for giving us the gift certificate.
