Cheekiness aside, I would like to blog at least stg coz I realized I left my blog too long in the pool of cobwebs, much too long… Fear NOT my damsel, I mean blog-sel in distress, I shall save u from this treacherous mountain of isolation

*wards off dragons of ignorance*

*sword-fighting with the evil Lord Busy-ness*

Aha… I finally reach my beloved blog-sel at the top of the tower... my angel… lying there on the crimson bed, rose petal surrounding her luscious body, looking so breathtakingly beautiful… I move closer... staring at her sleeping so peacefully... darling blog I shall plant the kiss of life unto u… MMMUUAAKKKXXXXX

Whatever this is so sick… LOL...

I will tell of the adventures of charm in some other blogs, but for now, let me just bask in the final moments of year 2007. Silence as charm contemplates… oh what the crap am I saying… let's go out and partaayyy… woohooo…

Interview Post-Mortem

Interview was alright. Did I just said alright? I actually meant it was CRAP on my side. Sigh dun say d la... Neway the whole thing was divided to assessment & interview. The assessment was like these…

1. Essay pick 1 out of 5. Crap almost everyone else did the 1st one, "Describe a situation where u showed leadership skills blablabla n what did u learn from it". I pulak did the one that says, "The stand against job-hopping generated different views from employers n employees alike. State your view on the matter blablabla." I hope being different gives an advantage, though I can never be too sure about stg.

2. Maths questions… more on a particular company's performance n us calculating fairly ok stuff. Only problem is time pressure.

3. Analyse the passage and state whether the inference given is true, false, or not enough info to say. Very tricky n again time is the essence here.

As I only have 2 hours of sleep the nite before, honestly, I was so blur and worn out I went home and sleep for an hour before the next session. On the bus home though, I almost had tears coz every other contestant seemed so professional & intimidating, leaving me to look childish and immature. Almost all zee girls have their make-up on. Right on charm. Stupid of me to think that natural look will potray a better outlook. Duh charm. We're judged by looks.

Ooh ooh 1 thing that made me happy when I reached home was that I receive 2 christmas cards n a Christmas gift by special delivery. Thank you Junnie & Melissa for the thoughtful card and Kam Hoe for the wonderful pink heart-shaped chocolate gift-box. I LOVE PINK N I LOVE CHOCS!

We were talking about sleep. Yes. After waking up n lunch I then put some light make-up on, feeling confident a bit, and then head on to bond street to shop with Rahim & Yan. Hahaha shopping (look-see, not buy) few hours before the main interview to release tension from the intimidating board room.

Interview was hmmm challenging yet informational. My interviewer told me lots of stuff and I did learn new things so it's cool. Though I felt I wasn't matured enough to give professional answers, especially on the Northern Rock issue.

All in all, this interview open up my outlook on different things and I definitely learned some stuff that I never knew before… Plus I did have fun at the place and meet so many new friends that are sweet and lovely… Now I have more reason to go to Lancaster, Nottingham & Manchester =)

It's definitely an experience of a life-time!

Charmster is Back

Feeling : All mixed up I guess

Listening to : 2 clocks in my room ticking… tickety tick

Study : Did I mention I had my last paper today? Make that yesterday!

Phew… it's all over… ACCA exams are all finished! At least until the results are out anyway... ( Fingers crossed ).

Moving on to my next move : MASS COMM !!

Hobby la I mean. I got hellova nagging from dad when I told him I had wanted or maybe just thought of contemplate switching fields.

Neway, post-exams fun fun fun begins! Typical of Charm to plan a whole list of stuff to do after the exams… Which she never even bother doing from past experience XD. Ok la now it's different coz she's a big girl now. And when u plan something, you have to work on it and not just sit around waitin' for the idea to collect dust, drifting away to never-land

  • Wed 12th Dec : dinner with Malaysian friends ( pics up soon in Facebook if I ever get hold of 'em )
  • Thu 13th Dec : trip to Oxford ( a town outside of London where Oxford Uni is )
  • Fri 14th Dec : send Pei Sian to Heathrow, dinner with friends again, then X-mas partay with Esen
  • Sat 15th Dec : morn - Assessment with PwC, evening - PwC interview (gulp)
  • Sun 16th Dec : whole day church
  • Mon 17th – 22nd Dec : Travel to Sunderland & Newcastle woohoo
  • After 22nd : lots of Christmas plans but no confirmation YET

I should be excited but now I'm so worn out due to only 5 hours of sleep for the past week. I just opened my inbox and got 3 replies from PwC. One stating I got the call-back for an interview this sat. It was from PwC Human Capital Centre, asking me to scan my ACCA, CAT & SPM (O Levels) results and send to her wo...

Hmm wish me all the best fellas... coz i know too little about interviews and too much about un-related stuff... =D

Okiez me go pack now.. Oxford is waiting for me...

Hmm I should be rejoicing a lot for everything but today, I'm just a bit annoyed, a bit frustated, a bit confused, a lot of burden, a really whole lot of tiredness and an even much more lot of wanting-to-go-home-coz-my-church-is-organizing-a-Christmas-ball-where-u-get-to-dress-up-as-a-celebrity-and-there's-gonna-be-emmy-awards-etc-so-it's-gonna-be-so-friggin-fun-coz-my-youth-so-rock-the-world.

Other than that, I'm alright... Sleepy... Nitezz

Feeling : Stressed like siao

Listening to : Vanessa Anne Hudgens – Say OK (But I'm not sobz)

Study : Realised I'm way behind than where I thought I was

By then, exams will all be over n we can kiss ACCA goodbye! Hopefully la for my case. N those taking the final ones.

Today was Question Based Day for P2 Corporate Reporting. It was friggin bad I almost had tears at the end of the day. ( Ok I actually did when I finally reached home n collapsed on the bed ).

Amit was here for the QBD as well. Thank God he was here to chat with me bout other stuff to get my mind off studies a bit. Boogie woogie dance ( hope I get the spelling right ) seems cool =) . He was such a great big help in advising what I should do at last minutes like these and which questions I should try out n about time discipline. Thanks heaps =) If only we had this discussion on say, Aug or Sept. Or even Oct. Maybe things would turn out better. But now… sigh… Neways thanks once again for the pointers!

Ok I'm staying online much longer than I've allowed myself. Better go now… to all my bloggie friends…. Esp trish & jess… see u peeps after zee exams…. Woooop

Muakx love ya all

P.S. To ACCA students! Pia ahead! Gambate n jia you! See u lot after Dec 12.

Keep Holding On

Feeling : keep-y holding-y on-y. haha…

Listening to : Avril Lavigne – Keep Holding On

Study : Halfway P2 CR d. Woopie!

Just a note to my friends at the moment who are struggling for the ACCA papers, SPM (Malaysian O-Levels), or any exams! Don't worry, as you have already put the best of effort on your side. U did ur best, let God do the rest!

I know it's not helping much, as this comes from a person who panics 24/7. I have a feeling this time I'm bound to fail a paper, no doubt. But hey… I'm still cruising along like nobody's business. Crap I know I should put in more effort but the laziness really sinks in too deep till I reach a point of no return. NOOOO…..

Lately I noe the moodiness n stress is really hitting-in inside of you, be it for exams or even personal problems. As you're reading this, yes I am talking about u... I hear ur pain n I understand totally coz I've gone tru the same as u… but remember, trials n tribulations are part of the ingredients in making us what we are today. We learn as we go along. Yeah sh*t happens. But hey some sh*t aint that smelly after all, if u breath in deeper! Ok btw, that was a joke.

Day by day we grow stronger… Like Britney Spears sang… "Now I'm stronger than yesterday… Now it's nothing but way… My loneliness aint killing me no more…Yeah STRONGER!"

She's struggling to fight for custody of her kids from pathetic ex husband K-Fed… n getting criticism from media everytime she does an error anyone of us normal people could have done. I think the paparazzi should give her a break. Stalking her 24/7. But she's still holding on… Well even she can do it, how about u?

C'mon don't disappoint Charm… stand up and be strong… be a man! Or a woman!

Think about those poor kids in Africa & Afghanistan… they're in a much worse situation… even eating grass & from garbage bin…You think for a moment, would they worry about exams, social & BGR problems? U cant imagine how lucky u are as compared to 'em. So people like me, having only £9.85 in my bank account as of today the 29 Nov, isn't afraid coz I noe somehow God will provide. Thanks joa for the offer… but I really cant accept it… My mom is saving up money to send to me soon… dun worry.

Ok la I go continue study now… and remember again… keep holding on… coz we'll make it tru, we'll make it tru… just stay strong, coz I'm here for u… as quoted by Avril. Or meeee...

HUGS.

Of Friends Rekindling

In London ones I mean… Full details below. It's ok if you're annoyed that charmine is just rambling non-stop coz hehe… today I'm too happy to bother too much =)

Feeling : Tired but happy

Listening to : Shayne Ward - If That's Ok With You.

Study : P1 Professional Accountant & P3 Business Analysis Mock today.

Morning dragged myself out of bed to go to college. Weather was so cold I'd rather tucked in bed longer… but dear old mock exam is going on so I should leave my nice warm bed and hurry on.

P1 mock was fairly alright. Well that's coz I knew what was coming out so I juz read those ones. Chehhhh pi la charmine. But I juz cant believe that 3 out of 4 questions is on risk management. Like, dude where are the ones from board of directors or NEDs (non-executive directors). I think there's bound to be a question on them in the real paper lo.

P3 was crap. I literally bull my way throughout the paper… Compulsory question I used the SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities & threats) n PESTEL (political, economic, social, technological, environmental, legal) model coz I couldn't remember Porter's Value Chain, 5 Forces or Mendelow (what charm u still cant master that??)

Wait wait! I'm not that stupid after all… as of last night, I conquered Ansoff! Wooo hooo… take that, smart-ass-who-sat-beside-me-in-class-n-kept-bugging-me-coz-i-cant-decipher-ansoff! Ahemmm… Ansoff matrix is about placing your corporate strategy on the grid, be it a new product and/or new market, ie. market penetration, diversification, etc. Muahaha I feel smart now. Ok la that's baby stuff for u guys but for my teeny weeny brains, it's a lot d…. hehe…

Enuff bout exams and boring stuff. Let's get down to business (Which can be even more boring lol)

I met so many friends that I haven't seen for a while. Ok 6 diff people in 6 diff situation is a lot in big ol' London k? Here goes…. BIG HUGS to you lot!

1. I met Amit aka zee Sould Seared Dreamer after mock. I admit I was pretty shy but i have to say, he's humourous and speak such good English with a distinct British accent! Anywayz it was nice to see you again after so long =) All zee best for exams!

2. Btw I met Theresa Campbell as well, which was her birthday today. Happy Birthday! She didn't recognized me coz I looked so different. Ok I wore glasses today in uncomb hair n I have spots n scars. Boo I look so dorky.

3. While walking home I met CY. Ok, Sher & Joy, this is our moment. *Sigh* *swoons*. The smart, yeng, cute nerd which was my 1st friend in London. Nice Singaporean Chinese who's on scholarship to study engineering in Imperial. Fuyoh top 5 Uni in the world! We then walked together to church for student tea before evening service. Chatted on zee way of course. Boy, it was 6 months since we last had a proper conversation. Him going back to Spore n me Msia.

4. Guess who sat opposite of me in student tea. Blek wrong. CY was at another corner. Lukas Lisanik & Rachel whom I'm never met since the student focus group to British Museum. That's like more than a month!

5. Halfway through student tea, guess who called. Wrong again. Hello CY is at the same room la. Hahaha… it was Malou, my friend from the Philippines who's staying in North London. She and her husband, Dave a British, was near church so they decided to drop by. We havent met since that trip to Bath & Stonehenge!

6. Before heading home I met Salaam Kamara at the church doorway. Whom I havent met since House Party. He also didn't recognize me at 1st. Do I really look that different as compared to my Facebook profile pic?

Let's make a comparison.

Hah. Vain.

P.S. That's my hand holding my long hair behind. Optical illusion eh?

Charm, Yong Beng & Pei Sian @ McD Queens Penang June 07

Charm. Clarissa. YB. PS. =)

I admit IT IS DIFFERENT. =P

Boo I've always been wearing specs to high school and college and I like it coz contacts lenses are such a drag. Dorky ma dorky lo. Nerd-in-progress. Woohoo... Okiez me go pom-pom now (in baby language, that's taking a bath). Miss u peeps! Toodles!

Gearing up for P1 n P3 mock this sun

U know, after my parents gave me the ultimatum of not going back for holidays, a few weeks later, my mom had secretly booked a return flight for me with the open return ticket. Then later on my dad pulak also wanted me to go back. Not forgetting my sisters n brother that kept asking when is kache coming back. They all do, whilst I don't.

Coz there's so many things to consider if I really wanna fly back for the holidays.

If I DO fly back on 29 Dec 07, I would have to book another ticket back here to London. After Chinese New Year of course, muahaha. That means 2 whole months back home, still paying my fixed costs here. N one way ticket from Pg to London after CNY is RM 11,000. I KID U NOT. Go check MAS n see. How ah.

But you see, my course actually ended liao. Yesterday was the last day of revision classes. Now just waiting for final exams in 2 week's time and then the results in Feb (which I'll probably fail, looking at the rate I'm studying now). Since I'll be finishing hopefully by Feb 08, my student visa incidentally expires end of April 08. It's dangerous to return back to the UK end of Feb with just 2 months left on my visa. I might get into trouble at the immigration section in Heathrow.

Visa extension is costly if done in the UK – about RM2k plus, but there's higher chance of approval by the British High Comm. Doing it back home is of course much cheaper – RM 700 plus, but lower chance of it getting approved I guess.

Besides, my passport expires on Dec 08. That's another issue. My friend said passport renewal can only be done 6 months prior to expiry date. Is it true? I dunno. Means I have to go back Malaysia again in June for passport renewal? Walau eh I'm not Bill Gates' daughter eh.

Money, money, money.

If I don't go home, I could find a part-time job here, get some cash to add to Charm's Cashflow Statement. Make my Balance Sheet look more presentable to the sole shareholder n director. I stand corrected. As of next sitting, it's Statement of Assets & Liabilities. Bye bye Balance Sheet!

Decisions decisions decisions.

1. Fly back to Malaysia on 29th Dec.

Finish thesis in Malaysia without much guidance, post to London.

Enrol in a post-graduate course ie Masters or CFA etc.

Beg/borrow/steal RM 150k to pay for fees.

Fly back to London, find part-time job or some short-term course to fill my time between Mar – Sept. Start on Masters course in Oct.

2. Fly back home and never return to London ever again!

3. Forgo open ticket.

Fly back after April 08, ie when Visa expires.

In Malaysia, apply for Masters and wait for application n visa approval.

Woohoo enjoy yummy Malaysian food from May-Sept before flying back to London for new course.

4. Don't fly back.

Start applying for job now and work work work coz you're poor so just shut up and accept the fact. Stop mourning coz not everyone is as lucky as you. Sobzzz

5. Jump down from Westminster Bridge.

6. WB isn't that high so i'll prob freeze in icy cold River Thames overlooking Big Ben.

7. Drown coz I cant swim.

8. Die.

9. Haunt a.c.c.a. students.

10. Muahaha

Wait. I remembered PriceWaterhouse Coopers (PWC) Malaysia is head-hunting for London graduates for full-time job or summer internship. Interview in Malaysian Students Dept near Notting Hill on 15 Dec 07. PWC is one of the Big 4, auditing for 51 of the top 100 London FTSE companies I think. Ai meh. I dun wanna earn ringgit n spend pound. Its all about where you work, isn't it?

Location, location, location.

Hah. Sounds familiar leh. That's what Jude Law said in Alfie. Ok he said that when… nvm. It's not appropriate to speak here. I have under 18 readers.

Anyway back I go. Arghh I dun wanna worry about this coz final exam is already ONE BIG PROBLEM. Ini-mini-maini-mo I'll choose option 9.

Anyone with me for that?

It’s Been A While

Feeling : Dumbstruck I guess
Song In Head : Hillsong – Mighty To Save
Study : Here n there a bit. No point telling anymore.

Yeah it's been a while since I last updated my blog. Didn't really bother to do so until Ed reminded me how dead it looks now.

Sorry for the down tone in this blog. It's just that I've had a rough day. I felt so silly somehow. Shouldn't have come out of the house in the 1st place. I cant blame anyone coz it's all my fault, my own doing.

Woke up this morning to see Amman's text. Apparently he's in class today with a flu n fever. He seemed kinda pitiful so I decided to go to LCA and on the way probably get him a hot chocolate from Starbucks to make him feel better (amidst being not so liquid with cash). It was drizzling (stupid English weather) but he's like a brother to me, so yeah risking myself getting sick is justified. N since I was going to LCA anyway, I might as well pass to JL a lil bottle of Brands Essence of Chicken to boost some energy, since he was sick not too long ago.

Also, I thought… since I was getting out of the house, I might as well go buy some Christmas & birthday cards n go post office weigh them to get the stamp price… before sending to my beloved missed friends back home. N also to get my best pal in Manchester a surprise for his birthday.

But before I can even accomplish any of it, tada.. calamity strikes… shitty stuff happened, and so I was left walking like a miserable hag all the way to LCA. Sorry la I cant tell u what happened. All I can say is that I was stupid and naïve and a risk-taker. Pfffftttt

Nevermind la. What has happened, had happened. I'll just be more cautious next time. Thanks JL for taking the time from your lunch break to listen to me. Glad I have a friend like you. Haiz this day shall go down in Charm's history. As The stupidest day of her life.

However, something good did happened. There was this old Chinese man I met in Tesco today. He asked if I knew how to speak Cantonese. I said yeah abit. Didn't trust strangers. He was asking if I could help him coz he lost his bank book. I was thinking to myself, is this guy for real? Should I help him? Would I get conned and end up making this the 2nd misfortune of the day?

At 1st, I said to him in cantonese, "I'm sorry my cantonese is very bad, perhaps u could find another Chinese person to help u." Yes my canto is appalling, that's the truth. I glanced around me. No Asian in sight. Darn. Ok God please let this fella be for real. I asked the old man what was it that he needed help.

He said he lost his new pension bank book from Abbey Bank and showed me the old one. He said he's very weak in English, and asked if I could help him talk to the customer service asking them to issue a new one and block the lost book. We then went to the nearest Abbey. My goodness what a long queue with only 2 staff attending to customers! Hmmm perhaps I could apply for a job here...

While waiting, I chat with the old Chinese man. He was from Guang Zhou and then moved to Hong Kong and now in England. Had children living in Mill Hill. I thought to myself, that is really far from where he's staying, Elephant & Castle, why don't they let him stay with them? Sigh, this new generation neglecting the old folks is really a shame.

After settling everything, I took down his number so I could go visit this old chap next time. Probably bring a more fluent person in Cantonese with me so I could talk to him about Christ. Coz helping him with his bank account is nothing, until I win his soul for God. He thank me and I could see the grateful look in his eyes. Guess he was also glad I wasn't gonna cheat him as well…

Ok la that's about it all… I talked too much. Gotta go study now. Tomorrow revision class for P2. Whooop I remembered telling my classmates I want a group photo with the whole class n our lecturer Tom Clendon. This would be interesting. How we're gonna pack 100 students into one pic I wonder. Btw I think that Tom looks abit like Hugh Grant =P. Some of my girl classmates think he's not bad also. Ok enuff craping. Charm stop typing and go study. It's already 12 am.

Nitez fellas

Yes we girls climb trees in Cheeseman Road, k? Or even play football with them boys but alwiz kena halau coz we kick like girls! Oh yes slipper games, skipping ropes and OMG my fav –KALITOI !! Ahhh I would kill to play it again !

Kalitoi is like u have 2 teams of equal numbers, Team 1 being the wall, and Team 2 the escapees. Team 2 have to run pass every wall made up of Team 1 members and escape without being "touched". Ok it sounds complicated here but I'll explain to u next time with a diagram.

Emo Strikes

Feeling : Emo-ish
Song In Head : Savage Garden - To The Moon & Back
Study : Don't ask. It's embarassing at this stage.

I. Feel. Very. Down.

N tired. Groceries, Getting letter for Amman in some stupid confined place, Semi-massive cooking, Bible Study.

Whole day of too lil studying i'm so gonna knock my head on the wall.

To think that i had all those energy and excitement in cooking my beef rendang curry. Why the fook am i putting effort in cooking when i should be studying makes me wonder... N it really makes me wonder if i ever give a f**k about u.... Maroon 5 u defined my thoughts. Used to be one of my favs during summer holidays back in pg. The song i mean.

Moving on. I was staring at my screen in emo while darren hayes serenade me. I will fly u to the moon n back.... if u'll be... if u'll be my baby....

I miss those times when i am surrounded by warm friends and family 24/7. Ok let me be perasan for now, can anot? Day n nite there's different gangs to hang out with. There's this constant bugging of never-ending kai-kai ( hang out) invites... When i'm emo, comfort friends are just a dial away. Or a mamak eat-out ( indian muslim restaurants serving yummy food ) away. I'll be fine in less than an hr.

When I'm in a deep argument with my ex Billy, Mervyn would rush to my place after giving tuition to kiddos and we'll drive off to the playground near my place n crap the nite away. He'll do all sorts of silly antics and i would smile again. King i miss u! Happy Birthday again... Send me regards to meng yee =) .

Was scrolling through some IPGian's blog and i realised i miss them all so much. Chin Siang the photography dude. I miss practising chinese with ya! Leng Hin my Spirit of Penang team-mate and Adrian zee wacky junior. U should watch their vids. Hilarious i tell u! Gah. I miss everyone in BAS. Boon Chien, Wei Xin, the whole lot! And IPG. N Penang. Even in KL ! CGL friends all over... Not forgettin those peeps everywhere else in the UK !

Most of all, I miss my family and the comforts of home sweet home. The whole wacky bunch. Sherleen's having her Malaysian O-Level Exams next week. aka SPM. I hope she does fine. I miss burning the midnite oil with her. She'll alwiz make hot chocolate for me when i complain about being hungreeee. Or cook some instant noodles. She really IS ZEE BEST SISTER IN ZEE WHOLE WIDE WORLD. Sherrrrrr i miss u so so so so so muchie ! All the best for SPM ! U can do it gurl coz u have 'em brains n beauty. U so rock my world my fav biatch ! Muahhhhh.

N Joycelyn my fav lil sister. U would entertain me with ur mimics of celebs and let me watch cool you-tube vids that i dunno how the heck u even noe of, being an 11-yr-old kid! I'm so proud of your results girl. N nomination for head prefect? U go girl! My fav cam hoe buddy =)

All said and done, i should go hit the sack now. 12:20am. BA rev class tmr. I'm not ready yet.

Wish me luck. No God says there's no such thing as luck. He does everything for a reason. Ok me procrastinating probably has a very good explanation. I'm probably gonna fail and re-take the subject and meet some tall, dark, handsome, hunky, rich guy in class. Who falls head over heels for me and pamper me like crazy. Ooh... Now failing doesn't seem so bad after all.. *evil grin*

I'm smiling again. Silly girl. I know. Nitez love ya

P.S. If u feel my missing vibe for u... send some love back =)

Of God Speaking Through Pastors

Current Mood : Struck with insomnia. Gosh it's 4.30 am !

Song In Head : Gwen Stefani - 4 In The Morning

Study : 1 chapter of P2 – Corporate Reporting. Yippie !

Ahh finally my studies hit some progress. 5 more weeks till finals. Gulp. Tension super boiling wei.

MSN. Hmm friends asking whether I've any problems and why
the heck on earth
am I up so late. Haha… thx for all the concern, fellas… Sometimes charm staying up late is a good thing. Studies one of the reasons perhaps?

Anyway, church today. I mean yesterday, since it's like almost 5am now. Pastor Dr Peter Masters preached on The Riches of Salvation. I had challenged God silently about something during the sermon.. Then whoa, after few moments, pastor's words were like God's reply back to me. Pastor's other messages also felt like a direct hit on me, and everyone in my lunch table agreed they felt the same. I mean hit on them la.

He said that many of us Christians just feel contented with going for 1 Sunday service per week. Just 1 day for the Lord. Not even 1 full day in fact. We kept giving excuses to ourselves of not going for Bible Study and other stuff in church or even read the Bible and have some quiet time with the Lord, coz we're too busy with homework, school, college, uni or work. But we can spend countless time in front of the TV, go yam cha and hang out with friends, or even online chatting nonsense. That includes muka-buku & blogging. Gulp. Who me? *innocent look* But when it comes to the Lord, we're too busy, no time, later, tomorrow…

Are we really living our lives for God or for ourself? This question puts me to shame. I realise I can never let go of my life and the world. God said we cant serve 2 masters, ie either God Himself or the world. If we really love the Lord, we must leave our worldly treasures, bear the cross and follow Him.

I can only work to change gradually through time to be a better person In Christ. But salvation isn't about good works or merit. U cant earn heaven just because you're a good person. Salvation comes through Christ Jesus. Believe and be saved peeps ! Call me a Jesus freak or anything, hate me love me, you have to have God in your life, like totally !

After morn church in Tab, I went on to St Peter's Church at Oxford Street in the afternoon, as invited by my buyer May. It's a Chinese church with sermon in dual-lingual. I personally like one of the worship songs, Give Thanks.

It goes… "Let the weak say I am strong… Let the poor say I am rich… Because of what the Lord has done for us… Give thanks".

The Pastor, Joshua was a real funny fella. Preached about Life's Blessing. He said that God does not have anything against the rich. In fact, Christians don't oppose the rich. But thing is, whom do we serve in the midst of our riches? Is it God or our own lustful desires for more? Does our possession possess us? One thing that touched me is that he said God promised to provide enough for us on this earth, although we never deserve any of it… Yet He loved us so much and will never forsake His children…

Jeremiah 29 : 11 "For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you, and not to harm you, to give you hope and a future". AMEN !

I had thought about my financial situation. Yeah it's true I'm scraping through life day by day, I cant afford this-that, but the Lord would not let me starve. He lead Delia to buying groceries for me, to Carphone approving of my cash back, no matter how little it is, lead buyers to my trading n e-bay stuff.

Luke 12 : 28 "If then God so clothe the grass, which is today in the field, and tomorrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?"

I will have more faith in the Lord. Thank you for granting grace over and over again though I never deserve any of it. AMEN !

Right. On. It. Thank. You.

Of God’s Amazing Works

Current Mood : Tired, but contented
Song In Head : Hillsong – This Is My Desire
Study : 5 pages of P1. Honestly.

Yeah I should gear up on my studying. Right on it! Tomorrow ok ar? Now me wanna tell u guys about God's amazing work in my life these few days.

1st of all, my mom had managed to send me £500 today. Just enough to survive another month ahead. Guess what… for the month of Oct my expenditure ngam-ngam ho reached £495. Keng le… coz I walk to school ma. Bring own lunch ma. Decline shopping trips / hang outs / eating out. Muahaha. Dork. Nerd. Tak boleh kah?

The money came just in time, being able to pay for me insurance, phone bill and me rent. Thank you so much mom… I promise to study hard and find a job as soon as I finish my exams! Thank you Lord for providing us our daily bread sufficiently!

2nd of all, my church friend Delia had helped pay for my groceries last sun as a birthday gift ( coz I kept declining to go for a girl's day out with her and some church friends… I can't even afford the bus fare to go! ) .

3rdly, I made a total of £25 as of today from e-bay & trading. I sometimes do feel bad coz this is not proper business, selling your own stuff / buying cheap stuff from ppl and hiking up the price to other buyers. Like… I don't know. It doesn't feel right. Anyway, I'm broke and I needed the cash before I had obtained the money from mom, you see. Thank you Lord for directing me to meet good people and not letting me fall into the hands of evil buyers. =)

Last but not least, one of my buyers today, May, brought me to her church cell group. After negotiating the price few days ago, she called back to say that she felt an urge to help me. Something was telling her that I have some difficulties, but she doesn't know what it is, and would like to help out. Today, after meeting up and selling the stuff, May invited me to her cell group. All 4 groups from her church is having a combined cell meeting so there's a big party going on and some testimonials from church members. (Testimony is when u testify to everyone the amazing stuff God had done in your life).

One guy testified how God healed his backbone problem, another lady about how God healed her suicidal behaviour, and the list goes on. This is a Chinese church, with their members comprising of China & Hong Kong youths… But guess what, they sang some English worship songs, and 1 of my favs… Heart of Worship. "I'm coming back to the heart of worship… And it's all about you… It's all about you Jesus"

Amazing, isn't it? How the Lord bring individuals together… God must've given her that urge to invite me. I told her bout my problems and she said she'll uphold me in prayers. Thank you May ! I am filled with the Holy Spirit's burning passion once again and this feeling is really unexplainable yet amazing. Bliss =)

One of the church members, Steven dropped Charm home coz his house was on the way back. He connected his iPod into the speaker and out played another fav of mine…. "This is my desire… To honour you… Lord with all my heart, I worship you…"

"I have this song on my phone as well!" I exclaimed.

"Really? Haha… I like that one too… But ahh my fav among all is this…" and he switched to Shout To The Lord. I was like… "Hey, that's my fav when I was in high school !"

We've quite a lot in common. Chew on this. He's got a suave British accent. Ahhhhh *swoons* . Manager position. Hmmm. His background is pretty complicated, parents from China, stayed in Vietnam, then moved to HK. N then now in England. He said I've got a Singaporean accent. Well I'll take that as a compliment. =D Some of u might beg to differ, but objection overruled. =P

Anyway, Charm would like to express a BIG THANK YOU to all her friends for the prayers and support. I really appreciate all the offers for help and I'll cherish our friendship to infinity and beyond.

All in all, I'm glad God work things out in a good way. He is alwiz faithful, alwiz knowing, alwiz providing. We just have to call out on Him and acknowledge that we need Him to steer the ship of our lives.

I would like to end the day with a Bible verse dedicated to all. Yes, even to you.

Matthew 7 : 7-8

"Ask and it shall be given to you; seek and you shall find; knock and the door shall be open unto u.

For everyone who asks, receives; he who seeks, finds it; and to him that knocks, the door shall be opened. "

AMEN !

ngam-ngam ho : just in time / exactly the right amount or moment

P.S. This is for the benefit of my UK friends.... Sorry guys for alwiz putting malaysian colloquials ! Don't u think it's so much easier to express in these shorter phrases compared to the english language?
