 Carli finished up her time at the BYU preschool. Boy, did she love it! At parent/teacher conference, Mr. Brad told me Carli is head and shoulders above her grade level, particularly in reading and social skills. We would get reports each week of what centers Carli had visited, and consistently Carli visited the library and dramatic play everyday, and maybe tried out one other center per week. She's always known exactly what she liked. She loves school and I think she's pretty excited for Kindergarten. She is such a fun girl, and one of our very favorite people. She is an old soul in a little body and she keeps me wondering how I am ever going to keep up with those constantly turning wheels in her head!

And congratulations to Master Logan! We are so proud of him for working so hard and just plain being so smart! He won the MPH Student of the Year Award, which he definitely deserved. He worked very hard in his school work, was on the "graduate student council", sat on the admissions committee for those entering his program this coming year, published and presented several papers, worked 30 hours a week as a TA and RA, and still maintained his status as greatest husband and father. And, on top of that, he was accepted to 7 of the 9 PhD programs he applied to, several of which are top 10 programs. (Can you tell I think he's quite a guy? Well, I do!) We chose Minnesota and will be headed there sometime in August.

 Logan's thesis advisor is amazing and we are grateful for all the help she gave Logan throughout the program.

 Our girls love Brittany! She babysat them a couple of times and is just one of those easy to be around people we loved getting to know.

March 2013

 Apparently March was pretty uneventful as well. We realized we had randomly dressed up like each other, as if we were going to a high school girls' choice dance. So, Carli took a picture of us.

And, of course, we're nothing if we're not obedient - had to follow the instructions on the shirt! :)

 We also found out that Janie will eventually need to have a procedure done to "correct" this cute gap in her teeth. I will enjoy it while I can before her permanent teeth come in.

Aunt Kera was so nice to take Carli and me to the Disney on Ice show. This little "Rapunzel" was riveted to the ice. Thank you, Kera, we all loved it!

February 2013

 January and February this year were a little rough weather-wise. It was cold and snowy, but we tried to keep busy inside.

We had a tea party with friends.

 And Carli and Janie played together - this must have been a masterpiece day.

Carli wanted her hair cut for quite some time, so we finally did it! And we're both happy about it. It was pretty fun because she had enough to donate.

December 2012

 We made gingerbread houses and Carli wanted to take one to her friend. Grammy volunteered her work of art.

 I don't have any pictures, but we were excited to celebrate Will and Chelsea's wedding in December!
And, of course, we can't forget our Christmas morning pictures.

November 2012

 We got family pictures.

 Family pictures with kids this age is quite a trick, we quickly found out. We were glad we got some good ones before it turned into this:

 Carli turned the big 5 and we celebrated by transforming the basement into a pet training party and inviting the neighborhood.

 And, if you couldn't tell by the theme of the party, it was a Littlest Pet Shop year for Carli. So, Logan and I put together this little playmat for her collection.

 After Thanksgiving we decorated our little apartment.

 And I have to admit, I wasn't sad when "Movember" was over and this handsome fella was clean-shaven again.
