Stamford Fun Run

Last March, Maddie participated in her first race! It was a 100m dash and boy did she have a great time. We got to school nice and early...where she warmed up!

SO happy to have her first medal. A great time and a great little event put on by her school. The older  kids did longer races and there was a 5K that Chip and I signed up for that took place before all the kids events (after a long night with Lily...we both missed ours!).

Gardens by the Bay

Gardens by the Bay is the newest botanic gardens in Singapore right in the middle of the financial district. The newest gardens are amazing! Definitely reccomend it and plan to spend some time there as there is A LOT to see. We took the tram, which I don't recommend, but we didn't have a stroller and there was lots of walking, so we were very happy it was there! The gardens are so luscious and green and provide a great escape from the city. 

A huge baby statue in the air only supported by the hand on the hill...pretty cool!

You can actually walk up the man made trees and around this sky walk for great views. We didn't do it this time...but will next time!

One of the best parts of Gardens by the Bay, are these two domes. One is called the Flower Dome and the other the is the cloud dome. They are amazing inside! And air conditioned, which is lovely on a HOT day.

February 2013 Photo Dump

Some things we did in February...

Lily had her first school presentation...she did great! Lots of dancing and excitement. We have the cutest video of it. So proud of my littlest...

We frequently go to the the beach with another family for a late Sunday afternoon swim and dinner. Maddie loves writing her name anywhere and everywhere.

This is a picture of the queue for the check out at the meat market. This meat market is open to the public for 2 hours every Saturday and you can buy meat at wholesale prices (meat in Singapore is terribly expensive). SO happy to have been introduced to this place by some Aussie friends...

A freezer full of meat meant that we needed a BBQ of course. Lily loved shopping for a new BBQ!

January 2013 Photo Dump...

Here is a photo dump of the rest of photos from January. Lily and I sure did miss sister when she was away at school. She left on the bus at 8:00am and didn't return home until 4:00pm...but we kept ourselves busy and Lily loved the one on one time with Mommy. We went for lots of swims and played on lots of playgrounds...

 This child sure does love to climb...

In fact, she was fully climbing in and out of her crib by 13 months so she was moved to a big bed at the ripe age of 16 months... The transition from crib to bed was effortless...She makes the bed look huge!

She also loves swimming and takes her lessons very seriously.

We usually have a late play date and dinner with these British friends every few weeks.
