Goodbye Droopy

Jeff, Shawn, and myself rode our full show choppers to Droopy's funeral because there really was no other option, Droopy deserved it. RIP. Glad he lived a long full life rich with history. Something to think about. 

Hill Cllimb Fever!!!!

Last weekend at the Hell On Wheels hill climb event our fearless friend Chris Huber straddled an old rigid panhead hillcliber owned and recently brought to life by Mike Davis. After a couple of fuel issues Chris made it all the way up!

Greasy Kulture Magazine #35

35 issues ago Greasy Kulture was just a website.  A really cool website that was one of the few links to the modern movement of vintage choppers.  I would check for updates all of the time, wanting, one day to have a chopper as cool as the ones on there.  And now, Guy Bolton, the man behind the magazine has given me the great honor of the magazine cover!  I'm incredibly stoked and had no idea that this was his plan.  My little pile of parts and me.  I was happy enough, and surprised that he wanted a feature!  When I got back from Brooklyn this weekend, I didnt feel home sweet home until I saw my panhead at the Lodge.  I'll always love my bike.  Its a dream come true, and a dream that couldnt happen without friends like Alonzo, Grant and Dom, thats for sure.  just need to fix it now!  Great pictures by a great dude, Mark Kawakami at JoyRidesArtCo

1958 panhead chopper for sale-Crazy Frank!

Live all your California chopper, crazy frank, easyrider fantasies out on this neat old '58 panhead. California title/current registration/ and in running condition!
It was built in the early '70s using a straight leg rigid frame that's raked and molded and painted nicely in black with dark purple ghost flames that are pinstriped in Harley orange by Wild Bill Check out the CrAzY FrAnK rear fender welded and molded to the frame!
Has shaved early wideglide trees and extended tubes, and polished early lowers. has an early cast PM caliper in the rear and the early PM rotors.
The motor is a '58 with outside oiler heads. Check out the etched rocker boxes. Someone added a generator style electric start primary that works great. Fires right up with the touch of a button!
Nice bike, doesn't need much, maybe a rear tire. Can ship anywhere. I can drop off at any shipper in the LA area. If you need help shipping domestic or overseas I can recommend a shipper.

Dennis' Panhead and Bardahl

I'm lucky to have the old Bardahl headquarters here in the neighborhood. The building is your standard industrial area wearhouse, but with a funky mid-century modern facade on the office portion of it, primary colors and all. The bike in the picture is Texas Dennis' Panhead - a true bits and pieces build. Although a neat machine, I wouldn't say Dennis has had the best of luck with it. A few weeks before snapping these images he laid 'er down. A few minutes after snapping the shots and having a beer he lost 1st and 2nd gear on the way home.

Introduction - New Contributor

Hi, I am Anthony. Thanks to 'Poon and Grant for allowing me to share a little bit of what I am up to here in the Pacific Northwest with you good folks.

I am a 10 year resident of Seattle, a transplant from rural NY, a father of two, a husband of one, a supporter of small business, a slave to large business, an urbanite with a country boy's heart, and a guy who likes to fit alot into life. I am an inch deep and a mile wide.

I have owned quite a few motorcycles over the years and I have ridden since I was five years old. With the help of friends and family I have put together, made better, and made worse a handful of vintage bikes, cars and bicycles. In addition to a never-ending '63 Panhead project, I do battle with the masses on a Husqvarna 450 SMR Supermoto bike. It is THEE most fun road going motorcycle I have ever owned.

What else? I occasionally contribute photos and words to a handful of small to mid-sized custom car and cycle magazines, I walk my kids to school nearly every day, and I live by these words:

He is talented, has consumate patience, is my older-wiser-adviser, and is the keeper of many a great project and the very well equipped shop that allows me to play the custom motorcycle game.

Frsh out of storage in the Mid West it's in a straightleg frame, chrome shaved sidecar 41mm frontend with forking by franks tubes, glide drum brake chrome star hub 21" front wheel. SUper E carb, ratchet top trans, and a 66-69 shovel primary with electric start with the kicker! You could have an electric start panhead if you wanted! I have a set of fresh rebuilt ready to run panheads available if you desire. 16" rear wheel PM caliper, Kandy Apple Red paint on an early fatbob style rear fender, fatbob tanks, there is a skinny front fender that matches too if you want it.
