Laundry Soap Recipe I stole from my friend

Ingredients:

1 bar soap - Fels Napatha
1 cup Borax
1 cup Arm and Hammer Washing Soda
A container with a lid.

Okay first you grate your bar of soap using a small cheese grater and next you add the borax and washing soday and put it all together in a container. If you have an HE washer you use 1 Tbs. and if you have a regulary one you use 2 Tbs. detergent to clean your clothes. I stole these pictures from my friends blog but I started using this laundry detergent and I like it better than store bought and it is so much cheaper. Next time I make it I am going to do about 4 or 5 batches at once but you'll definately be pleasantly surprised at the results. Who wants to buy detergent when you can make it better and cheaper than the store stuff. All of these ingredients I purchased at Macey's.

Love that smile!

Conner is turning 9 today! I look at my kids and can't believe how fast they are growing up, I just wish I could go back in time. When Conner was born I was holding him in the hospital looking into his eyes and I told Chris that there was something special about this boy. Over the years I think I have figured it out and it's that he is the kindest most sensitive child around. He includes everyone and there is no end to his list of friends. In his spelling bee this year he missed his turn because he was worrying about his friend who had just misspelled a word and I thought it was so tender of him.
Conner loves everything to be simple. He loves noodles without sauce, lipton noodle soup,plain cheese pizza and he loves to just stay home and play with his brother in his PJ's. Content is a good word for him.
Conner is smart, cuddly and has the most contagious giggle that you have ever heard and when he smiles his blue eyes sparkle and he lights up the room.
Conner I love you more than you will ever know and I am so grateful that you are a part of our family. I hope you have a wonderful birthday!

Conner had to pick the turtle on the carousel at the zoo and it was just funny to me.

He is so gifted at the piano, he can practice twice and pass his songs. I keep telling him imagine what you could do if you practiced even better.

I love to save Money!

Okay are you ready for this......All these groceries plus 3 gallons of milk, that's 44 items cost me $54.73. And we're talking M&M's, Mayo, Ballpark Franks, Strawberries and ect.
A friend of mine in our ward taught me how to do couponing about 2 months ago and I wasn't to sure about it but I am saving so much money and filling my food storage to the brim. I thought that I would be way to embarrassed to do this but there are several people in the stores doing the same thing. I have always been frustrated that I can't build up my food storage fast enough and I am so relieved to be getting so much done and my kids are loving all the snacks that I am able to get. Well I am officially addicted!

His Little Darling

I had to post this picture because I want you all to see how these two look at eachother. My husband smiles and laughs at everything she does even when she is sitting on his head and he is trying to sleep and he does this because she looks up into his eyes just like in this photo and lets him know that he is her world. She absolutely has my husband wrapped around her little finger. I have never seen him melt for anyone the way that he does for her and I absolutely love it and it's nice for my husband to understand now why I love my dad like I do.

Conner's Birthday Party

We had Conner's friend birthday party a few days early because it was a Saturday and the weather was beautiful. Conner wanted to play dodge ball, tag, football, and play on the playground with dad and his friends. I love Conner because the simpler the better to him.

After games we came back to the house for grilled hot dogs, chips, grapes, carrots, pop, and of course cupcakes and ice cream

I was really impressed with Conner's choice of friends they were all really good boys and 3 of them stayed over until almost 5:00 just playing and they all got along great!

His friends really knew him well and got him just what he wanted, you can tell how excited he was for all of his presents. I think Coby was just as excited.

Last but not least we sent them on a scavenger treasure hunt to find their loot bags which was so fun to watch them run everywhere. I had them up, down, inside, outside and anywhere you can imagine and they were exhausted(mothers you can thank me later) This is a picture of them digging the treasure up out in the sandbox. Conner really had a great time and so did all of the boys and it was a super easy party to boot!

Skipin' School For A Good Reason

Draper Temple

On Friday I took my 3 boys to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint's Draper Temple Open house. Chris and I went to the temple a couple of weeks ago to do some work and when we came home our boys had lots of questions about what we do there and what does it look like inside so this was a perfect opportunity to show them. The temple was absolutely beautiful and I didn't take any shots from my own camera so I just took this picture from the brochure(what was I thinking?) My children have a much better understanding of the temple now and we plan to have a family home evening lesson on Monday to answer any other questions they might have. Cade will be receiving the priesthood in July and be able to do baptisms in the temple so he was really excited to get a better perspective. This was well worth letting them miss school and grandma came along as an added bonus. We went and had Mexican food afterward and then Cade went fishing with grandpa and the other two boys went to the movie and dinner with grandma. I ran home to get Kelbi because Chris has been home with pneumonia and bronchitis but offered to take her off my hands while we went to the temple so he and I and the little miss had a nice quiet evening home together.

Buses that took us up to the temple from the church building where we watched a film about the temple.

Add mexican food and 3 Twitty boys in suits and this is what you get-craziness!

Conner is now a Wolf

Conner had pack night tonight and received his Wolf and 3 silver arrow points and 1 gold arrow point. To earn his wolf he had to do several goals in different areas and he has been working on this now for nearly a year. To earn the arrow points you have to do 10 extra goals for each one so we are really proud of him and he has put a lot of work into this. Conner loves scouting and has really great leaders. They have Conner hang upside down to place a pin on me and when he does a good deed for me then he can turn it right side up so I can't wait to see what he does.
On a side note do any of you know why I can't turn this underline off?

uggggh! Sick Again

On Saturday Chris and I finally got a date and went to the temple, then to dinner. We came home to a baby with a 103 degree fever and a snotty nose, next Coby started throwing up and that went on the entire night. Needless to say it was a sleepless night because he would throw up and then she would cry. This all lasted until Monday and then on Tuesday Cade and Kelbi started and bless her heart because now she has that on top of the cold. And now yes you guessed it Conner is going to town! I am going through Lysol and Bleach like nobody's business. I will pay anyone who can make spring come faster. Parents out there who just send their kids to school because it is to inconvenient for them need to have their butts kicked because what may be a little ordeal for their kids ends up being a huge deal for kids like mine with poor immune systems. My sons teacher had only 11 kids the other day due to illness, so ridiculous if you ask me. I'll get off my soap box now.
