3 years
it's crazy to think how much life has changed in the past 3 years!
Our wedding day was wonderful. It was a gorgeous weather (50 degrees!) and the absolute perfect day with our family celebrating with us.
Today is a freezing cold day, but wonderful just the same. We have the most beautiful daughter who has made our life happier than we could have imagined 3 years ago! We are blessed to have her in our life and are excited to see what the coming years will bring.

25 years
Yesterday I celebrated my 25th birthday - WOAH! i was thinking about how OLD that seems, and how it means I've been out of high school for 6 (almost 7) years... but when i woke up this morning i really didn't feel any older :)
My mom and i had planned to spend some time in Park City shopping, but when we woke up to a snow storm we decided against risking Parley's Canyon - so we ended up going to lunch at the Cheesecake Factory (YUMMY) and doing some shopping at Fashion Place Mall - we had a really good time.
Clark and i had planned to take Abbie downtown to see the Christmas lights on Temple Square, but the snow kinda messed with that plan too - so we just went to dinner close to home and then came back here for Cheesecake :) I have actually really wanted it to snow, so overall it was a great day.

long time no blogging
Where do i start? I cannot believe that Thanksgiving is gone and December is here...We had a great Thanksgiving. We spent the day with the Anderson family - some of us ran a 5k in Bountiful in the morning (which was a joke for me - the fact that i haven't run in quite some time became a little too obvious). My parents hosted Thanksgiving dinner and the food was great. It was Abbie's first Thanksgiving and i dare say she enjoyed it. My 2 brothers and their families were in town for the week so we spent a lot of time at the parentals hanging out. It was great to see everyone and we're hoping we convinced them to move back :)

I got all of our Christmas decor out today, which turned the house into a disaster zone, but we got it all put together and i'm glad to say we're all decorated (except our tree, which we'll go get in the next week or so) ... Abbie played in my empty storage containers while i was sorting through everything. she's such a sweetheart.
She's walking like crazy now... getting more and more brave, with fewer bonks and bruises. She's also doing the sweetest thing - she snuggles EVERYTHING. She'll crawl around on the floor and snuggle her toys and blankets and me and clark. it's adorable - she makes a little "ahhhh" sound when she does it... she even had a night where she wouldn't stop snuggling the tile floor in our kitchen :)

Last Saturday we went up to Logan to celebrate my Grandpa's 80th birthday party. We had dinner at the Coppermill and it was SO yummy. Abbie got to meet her grandpa great for the first time and she adored him. It was fun to celebrate such a wonderful man. I love the picture we took with him - i think it says it all :)
Yesterday i gave Abbie a frozen GoGurt, it was hilarious. At first she was taken back by how cold it was, but she quickly caught on and made a huge mess. She's such a cutie!

battle wounds
Abbie got her first black eye over the weekend - poor thing.
She collided with a toy, which she does every now and then, but this time we knew it was bad cause she was super sad. She rarely cries when she bonks - she's a tough gal, but this time she did the "catch your breath cries" it was really sad. Anyway, i couldn't get that great of a picture. It's still a little bruised now, but it's getting much better... She's starting to be brave and take steps without help, so i'm sure we have a few more bruises on the way :)

4 for (i wish it were) friday
1. Last saturday we took Abbie to a pumpkin patch and she loved it. Her dad on the other hand was not thrilled with the fact that we went during the BYU game. the sacrifices we make for our children :) we had a really good time and abbie even got her own little pumpkin.
2. My mom bought a wagon for the grand-kids and we took Spencer and Abbie for a few rides over the weekend. they thought it was super cool, especially when rudy would ride with them. We're thinking we're going to get abbie a wagon for Christmas (shhhh, don't tell her).
3. i got a sewing machine last christmas and i thought it was about time to pull it out of the box (how terrible am i) i don't sew, but i'm thinking i should learn... so my first endeavor was a pillow case... my mom helped me get my machine all set up up and the fabric cut and ready and then decided it'd probably be easier just to use her surger rather than my sewing machine. HELLO! so i didn't even use my machine, but i did make a pillow case. i think i'm going to attempt a rag quilt. it just might be a disaster...
4. i'm loving this warm weather, abbie and i have been going on several walks a day - but sounds like it's supposed to get cold next week which means less walks and warmer clothes (i'll admit i'm so READY to pull the sweaters out)

four for friday
four reasons why some may call me a not so normal person/mother
1. i'm pretty positive that i've eaten my weight (which is up there) in candy corn. I love candy corn. I cannot stop eating candy corn. it's close to noon and all i've eaten today is candy corn. i'm counting down the days til they take candy corn off the shelves so that i'll stop buying those sugar filled bags. i'm obsessed with candy corn. a fat free candy right?
2. why would a normal mother tie this around their child's head. are we gypsies?
3. last night clark and i stayed up til midnight (woah, aren't we crazy) playing bejeweled. it's addicting and quite satisfying when you hold the high score of: 55,832 that's right. i rock. (ps, i usually go to bed around 9 or 9:30 so this is pretty wild for me)

forced to say goodbye
is anyone else saddened by the bankruptcy of Mother's Cookies? i was so shocked to hear that they have shut down and i instantly had the urge to run to the store and buy up all the Circus Animal cookies i could find. What a terrible loss.
or am i just a seriously pathetic person who likes her cookies a bit too much ...

Nap Hair
When Abbie woke up from her nap this afternoon her hair was all over the place. Her hair is getting so long that it can get pretty crazy...
Abbie is also pulling herself up to EVERYTHING ... I love watching her learn new things - but this phase is insane! she is so busy and definitely keeps me on my toes. She usually leaves path of destruction behind her.

Dallas
We made a visit to Dallas this past weekend for Gracie's blessing and to see baby Carly. The trip was too quick, but so much fun. Abbie loved seeing her two cousins and wishes they lived closer!! (hint hint) Thanks for letting us come visit and we hope to see you soon...
here are a few pictures from the trip. when i have more time i'll have to share the extremely scary flight story - which consist of fire engines and ambulances chasing us down the runway as we made an "emergency" landing back in Dallas after we'd already flown an hour toward home ... anyway, we made it back safe, but wish we'd been able to stay and visit longer.

Quirky Cami

Tell about 6 unspectacular quirks of yours
okay so i found this kind of difficult - not because i fail to be quirky, but because i don't recognize my quirks as quirks, if that makes sense. so i invite you to please leave me your comments on what you believe my quirkies to be :) but i'll give it a shot as well.
Quirky 1: i am terrified of the dark. pathetic i know, but it's the truth. some may say this is more of an illness which needs to be addressed, but for my purposes here, i'll name it a quirk.
Quirky 2: when i'm falling asleep i have to be touching clark (don't be grossed out). i have to be touching his foot with mine or my arm to his arm. it drives him insane, but he deals.
Quirky 3: when ever i drink i soda i have to poor it into a glass before drinking. i hate the fizz, so i try and defizz by pouring it out of the can. i even love to drink a soda that has been sitting in a glass for several hours.
Quirky 4: i adore shopping online. there's something wonderful about getting packages in the mail - packages containing things you personally picked out (and paid for - lame). don't get me wrong, i love shopping in stores, but there's something fabulous about getting mail. i must add that this quirk also drives clark insane.
Quirky 5: i love going to bed early. if it were socially accepting to go to bed at 8pm i would. heck, abbie is in bed by 7. why can't i be?
Quirky 6: i think i'm superstitious (clark calls it OCD). i have routines for most everything i do. for instance, i have a certain routine for when i clean my kitchen, park my car, go on our morning walk, dress abbie, bathe abbie, brush my teeth, hang my clothes in my closet, shower, get ready for bed ... i always feel like if i don't do things a ceratin way then it'll throw my day off. yes, the list goes on but i won't freak you out anymore.

Booya
Clark got his BIG BULL!!!
We spent the last (almost) week at the cabin and Clark hunted pretty much the entire time... Wednesday night he shot his elk - and it was so exciting! His dad, brothers and uncle came up and helped him haul it out (thank you). Abbie is so proud of her dad. We enjoyed the relaxing time at the cabin and are kinda sad that hunting is over for the year, but it's good to be home and back into "real life" ... Congrats Clark!!!
