Easter Sunday...

Last Easter we started a tradition with our Easter Egg Hunt. To make the focus more on Christ and not the candy, we have something inside each egg that represents something about Christ's life. It has been great and the kids love to open the eggs and talk about what is in each one.

Kirby cousins came to visit for Easter...

We had a fun Easter morning on Friday. Later we went to the Aquarium and had lunch. We went out to dinner Friday night and had a great visit with Shawn & Kim and their sweet kids.

Had to get Aliza's awesome bedhead hairdo on here...

Kim and Kaycee...I think I figured out who Aliza looks like...maybe a little-Kaycee.

Baby Ducks...

We got baby ducks for Easter this year. (It only took me 6 years to talk Eric into it). They are the best pets. The kids have loved having them. And the kids have been pretty gentle for the most part. My favorite pets growing up were baby ducks. They are so cute-they snuggle, and follow the kids around and are very playful. They'll be great for our garden this summer-eating all the bugs and then we'll take the ducks "to be with their friends" at a pond or the reservoir. I'm not a fan of having a pet I have to keep for years. I think our new tradition will be baby ducks every Easter. It has been a great experience for our kids.

April 11th- Happy Birthday Sweet Boy! We love you!

March 15th-Good News...

For those of you who don't know yet-we are expecting another baby. We were sure we were having a baby boy. But we were shocked to find out we are having another baby GIRL!!!! We are really excited! We can't wait to meet her.

Aliza's first real piggy tails! I can't believe how big she is. What a bundle of joy she is. Her brothers adore her. And how she adores her "dadda!"

Working on our smiles (as you can see from previous pictures we need to practice smiling while taking pictures.) Kaleb took many of these pictures for me.

Our sweet boys. I can't believe how quickly they grow up. They are best buddies-most of the time. Kaleb is all registered for Kindergarten. I'm trying to get him all ready for school but mostly trying to prepare myself. I'm not ready for my child to go to school!

Our little snow angels...

The kids have enjoyed the snow we've gotten lately. I love Colorado weather. A few weeks ago we were at the park and it was about 65 degrees! Then a few days later we were slammed with snow and subzero degree weather. But that's ok! If I can get those warm days with sunny blue skies in between it is worth it.

New and Improved "Fort Kirby"

This "fort" has made our winter so much more enjoyable!!! The kids have loved playing on their indoor playground. They love the slides, trapeze, tunnel, rope swing, pulleys, swings, ramps, steps and climbing all over. Our little kids have turned out to be quite the gymnists and come up with new tricks everyday. We've got it quite kid proofed with foam where they could hit their heads. There have been no injuries yet...and although you might need to sign a waiver to play at our house-the kids have absolutely loved it! Well done Eric! You did such a great job on this!!!!! Thanks for saving me this winter and many more to come.
