April Fools Day

Logan came home from school on the 31st April Fooling everyone. He said he was doing it now so that he could get it in before he forgot. I decided if he was so interested in it that he wanted to do it for 2 days he would be game for some tricks. For breakfast somehow the milk for the kids' cereal had turned into Alien milk (it was green). Logan thought I was trying to poison him with rotten milk, but the girls loved it and are still asking for more Alien milk. I also planned a special dinner for the day. Cupcakes and grilled cheese.

The cupcakes are meatloaf with mashed potato icing and the grilled cheese is angel food cake with icing for melted cheese. Logan was really not happy with this one . . . he wanted real grilled cheese! Again, the girls loved it! I really thought Logan would get a big kick out of it, but apparently it is more fun to give than to receive! lol

Beware of the quiet child . . .

I was trying to get some work done and I left Kaitlyn playing happily in her room with her babies. She was using her diapers to change them and I didn't think anything of it. When I got done with what I was doing (a hated household chore) I realized that it had taken me longer than I thought and Kaitlyn hadn't been in to hurry me up and wasn't making any noise either. I got a little worried and went to check on her and found her still happily diapering her babies, but she had added a step . . .

When I came in I gasped (this was not what I had expected) and she burst into tears. I, in turn, burst out laughing (which really confused her) and ran for the camera.

It took a while to clean up and bocked the vacuum filter several times, but the pictures made it all worth it.

Aaron's birthday

Another quiet birthday party. Aaron wanted Sonic for dinner and for his cake he wanted chocolate cupcakes. He got Guitar Hero 1 & 2, but I think he was more excited about his mega pack of gum that will fit in his cup holder in the car.

12 on the 12th

I was watching the Scrapbook memories show and loved an idea that I saw on there about 12 on the 12th and you take 12 pictures of your daily activities on the 12th day of the month. I have discoved just how truely mundane our days are. lol The kids love seeing their day in a layout each month.

Brynne's first field trip

Brynne's class went to the living dinosaur exhibit that is visiting Alamo. She didn't care too much for the actual dinosaurs, but she loved the 'play' room. She got to 'dig' for bones, climb on the back of a dinosaur and even stuck her head in a T-rex's mouth! They also had a star exhibit set up and we got to crawl into a dome and see all the constellations. I had more fun seeing that than Brynne did- she didn't like the pitch black inside the dome. All in all she had a wonderful time.

Kaitlyn turns two!!

I can't believe that Kaitlyn is two! It seems like she was a baby just yesterday and now she walks, talks, and has a princess size attitude. :) We had a pretty easy going 'party' for her. She wanted MacCheese (her way of saying Mac 'n Cheese) and chicken nuggets. She opened her presents after dinner and we ended the evening with a birthday cookie; she picked out her own cookie mix (even the cookie was her idea). She loved walking down the commissary aisle looking for what she wanted. I think the only thing she liked better than picking out her 'cake' was eating it.

Wall saying

I saw this on the message board I haunt and thought it looked really neat and I had to have one. :) So I cut this out last night. It's not quite perfect, but not too bad for my first try.
