Yard Sale Saturday

My little sis was in town last weekend and we went on an impromptu yard sale trip around our town.  With no plan we started driving and found lots of great stuff!

• At the 1st yard sale, I found an old exercise trampoline for $3 - great condition and just what we'd been looking for - for our bouncy Mylie.  She also threw in a brand new hot pink 4x6 picture frame - perfect for Mylie's bedroom.
• We found a cute little yard sale that we really only stopped at because we saw a little girl riding the cutest electric scooter.  It wasn't for sale but I grabbed a pair of pants for Mylie for $1 and a glass parmesan cheese shaker for 25cents.
• At another yard sale, I found 2 fake plants for my plant shelf in the living room.  The tallest one was $5 and the smaller one was $3 - great deal as I'd been looking at greenery plants at home decor stores and they are spendy things.
• I love to collect pretty serving trays and I found 2 new ones (a silver one and a glass one with a silver handle) at another sale, plus a cute outfit for Clark and a my little pony that Mylie grabbed.
• We found a Toy Yard Sale and wow it had some fun stuff!  Braden got some sheets of Star Wars trading cards (who knew?) for only 50cents and I found a bunch of fun things including a superman toy, some Mr. Incredible toys and some Monster's Inc. toys (for Bob's pixar display at work).  All were super cheap.
• I scored a Sit N Stand stroller for only $20 at the last sale!  (I deeply regret not buying a double stroller before Clark was born - who knew Mylie would still want to sit in stroller by now?  This sit-n-stand will be perfect with a little cleaning) We also grabbed another superman figurine for 50 cents and a hot wheels car carrier that Braden just needed for $1.

My Doubles trips

My good friend, Liz, talked me into going shopping with her last night.  With little money to spend due to our new budget that now includes a house payment - I was leary, but ended up spending just under $5!  Yeah for Doubles!

My first transaction totaled $1.11 (including tax).  I purchased 1 Maruchan Yakisoba, 2 Fuze drinks, 8 Propel drinks, and 2 Carefree liners.  Yeah!
My second transaction totaled $3.65 (including tax).  I purchased 2 Tostitos chips, 1 Maruchan Yakisoba, 1 Glass cleaner (full price - needed it), and 1.9lbs of bananas.  Total would have been only $1.31 + tax without the glass cleaner.

So this is one of the best deals EVER!!!

6 boxes of these baby crackers were on sale at Amazon for $18.75.

I used the 15% subscribe and save discount that took off $2.81.

I also used a 25% sale code that took off another $4.69

AND THEN

In the mail today, I got Parenting magazine. Inside I found a one-time use code for $10 off any order! Bringing my grand total to: $1.25

Just one box of these crackers at Walmart usually retails for around $2.50. My baby won't be able to use these for quite a while, but they usually have a long expiration date and I can share them with my nephew and I bet my older kiddos would be more than willing to try them out :) Silly kids!

Finish Dishwasher Tabs

Thanks to Albertsons and eBay, I got a lot of cheap dishwasher soap this week. Albertsons has these boxes on sale for $2.99 and there was a coupon in last week's Sunday (1/2) coupons for $2.25 off of one! I quickly clicked over to eBay and ordered 20 coupons for $10 (seems like a lot, but it was still a great deal!) and then got the boxes for $0.74 each after coupon at Albertsons. With the cost of the product & coupon + tax - they came out to about $1.40 a box! We run our dishwasher at least once a day - so what I bought us should last at least a year for just under $30.

Stocking up on cheap baby food

already! Yes, I know that it's too early to be buying baby food for my little guy, but when it's cheap and it doesn't expire for almost a year - why not?these Gerber 1st foods are on sale for 89 cents this week at Albertsons. I bought .75/2 coupons off of ebay last week super cheap and I'm combining them with the twice the value coupons today and tomorrow at Albertsons to get them for 14 cents each + tax! I'm also going to get some of the 2nd foods - which are on sale for 99 cents - and I'll get those for 24 cents + tax! Great deal!

GAS REWARDS

yesterday I filled up my tank at an Albertson's gas station and saved $0.45 a gallon! Saving me almost $9.00 from going to a regular gas station! Whohoooo!
