Lydia is baptized!

Kirk baptized Lydia on her birthday May 24. We are so proud of her good decision to be baptized. What a special day it was to share with friends and family.
Aidy ate her first real food, thanks to grandpa Tim. It was Hideaway Pizza and she loved it. Over the course of the weekend he also fed her peanut butter cookies. (Oh I can't wait to be a grandparent so I can throw all the rules out the window.)

Here is some video of our latest camping trip. I just love hearing Aidy laugh. The cardboard box in the background is Brienz's potty. We made it after the 5th trip to the portapotty. She is officially potty trained and mom is loving it!

Rockin' Robin

We finally found GOOD pizza in Oklahoma. Hideaway Pizza in OKC makes our temple trips even more enjoyable. Brienz ate all of her slice, except the little bit on her forehead.
Taylor turned 6 on March 6. He had a great party with a bunch of friends. He made up all the games: running with balloons between your legs, shooting soda cans with his dart gun and punching his new punching bag!
Boys will be boys.
Aidy is on the fast track for glasses. Brienz tells her"Don't cross your eyes, Aidy".

All our Oklahoma friends at the zoo for spring break. Yes, they have one in Oklahoma.


Last night was Taylor's kindergarten program. We got his part on video. I cried (thanks mom for the "quick to tears" genes). He is in the white shirt and tie, and I don't expect anyone to watch the whole thing.

The primary is learning about eternal families. You can find this picture of the Dahlke eternal family hanging up in the primary room.


The kids had three snow days in a row! Something their mom and dad never had-in California we had wildfire days!


Terissa, Zan, and Paige went to Las Vegas to celebrate Zan's 30th.


Aidy spent a few days in the hospital for viral bronchitis and a fever that would not let up. She is doing great now.

Brienz used the potty for the first time and got this cupcake as a reward. It turns out she would have rather had a lollipop.

Toothless Taylor and Brienz's big win

Taylor lost his 1st tooth on Dec. 30. He was very excited for the tooth fairy to come. It turns out, the Oklahoma tooth fairy is more generous than the Arizona tooth fairy. Taylor was $1.50 richer when he woke up the next morning.
Brienz won the Crazy for Rosa's video contest for Lawton, OK. We are so proud of our little movie star!

Christmas in Broken Bow, OK

The six of us spent Christmas in a cabin in southeastern Oklahoma. We had plenty of time to play, eat, swim, explore, and visit with each other. It was our favorite Christmas ever!
With all the buttons to control functions on the hot tub, Taylor wanted to know where the button was to make it deeper.
Christmas Chaos!
I would say that Aidy's first Christmas was a lucrative one!



The kids had their first piano recital on Dec 20. Lydia played Up on the House Top, Taylor played Jingle Bells, and Melissa played a few primary Christmas songs.

Aidylein is getting teeth (4months). The drool never stops flowing.

Jacob or Edward?

This can be a difficult question to answer. But the truth is, it doesn't matter who you choose as long as you have some good friends willing to stay up all night to watch the first showing of Twilight with you. Thanks for the FUN ladies!
