New Years Eve Dinner

New Years Eve dinner at New Moon. Last year we went to dinner at New Moon with the Bowens, we decided to return again this year. It was a great dinner and maybe we will keep this as a new tradtition! Shelby beef and wally shrimp are favorites!

A farewell to the Voges Family! The Bowen, Hoskins, Mower and Voges families have spent many fun-filled days and evenings together. The Voges family moved due to a job transfer. They have meant so much to us during our six years together. We have traveled together, played together, spent holidays together. It is hard when change comes and people move on in their lives. They are Forever Friends and engraved on our Hearts.

Miss Jamie as she is affectionately known captured these three girlies hearts when she became their preschool teacher at the age of three. Miss Jamie had the best pre-school in town. They learned about insects, planets, solar system, dinosaurs, the body and the ocean. The vast amount of knowledge they carried to kindergarten was incredible. According to Aliza, no other teacher knows as much as Miss Jamie.

Miss Jamie will always hold a special place in my little girls heart!

Miss Jamie is definitely the most sought out person at any gathering. Miss Jamie is more than just another adult to these three...they think of her as THEIR friend!

We made the kids wait until 7am to wake us up. They were all sitting in our room watching the clock till exactly 7am. Then they pounced on the bed yelling time to get up...hurry get up!

Hannah loves her yellow Ipod.

They girls and their new appendages...phones. Hannah has been longing for a phone, but we kept telling her no. After we finished opening gifts (except the phones) we told everyone to start picking up. We had the phones in gift bags in the kitchen. I called one phone and Len called the other. I said Hannah, what is that noise. She went into the kitchen following the sound. When she saw the bag, she started screaming....it's a PHONE! They were both very excited that they did get their phones!

Aliza has been wanting an American Girl doll for more than a year. Santa finally came thru with one. They have become fast friends!

Christmas Eve Traditions

On Christmas Eve our family has a few traditions. We open two gifts...jammies and an ornament. We get our comfy jammies on and hang our ornament. We then settle in for an evening of reading. We start out with the scriptures in Luke 2. We read the Nephite Christmas Story from the Book of Mormon. Then we read the Littlest Angel. We talk about the birth of the Savior and what it means to us.

Jordon's is a treble clef for all his musical talent!

Celebrating with Friends

Jeff and Lisa anniversary is one year and a day before ours. We have spent many dinners celebrating our anniversaries. It is there 20th Anniversary this year! We celebrated a Morton's Steak House. The Fillet Mignon was tender, flavorful and divine! Shrimp Alexander and Chocolate Molten Cake rounded off the night. It was a wonderful evening to share with friends!

Sacrament Piano Performance

This year Jordon's piano teacher, Ephraim has been working with Jordon to take a piece of music and make his own arrangement of it. Jordon picked on of his favorite hymns

Abide with Me; 'Tis Eventide

For his recital earlier this month he gave it a little jazzy feel. However, for Sacrament meeting it would not be that appropriate. So he toned it down and rearranged it again. Today he had the opportunity to play in Sacrament meeting. He also had the chance of playing on the Grand Piano. I have heard him play that song a million times. I don't really get tired of it because the piece is so soothing. Today though listening to him play that piece with such heart and love of music, it brought tears to my eyes. He did an amazing Job and I am so proud of him for having the courage to share it with others.

AYSO Region 1441 Champions!!!

Playoff games started last weekend. Our team has had a tough season. We won a few, tied a few and lost some. We came in 5th out of six teams. As we headed out to the game last Saturday I fully expected to be ending our season that day. I had even teased Hannah I would send her away if she scored any goals. I was a tie game until the end of the third quarter. Hannah took a shot from the side corner and outside the goal box. It was beautiful it soared over the goalies head into the top corner of the goal. Bam...1-0. That's how it ended. I couldn't believe it. Here I was preparing myself for a Soccer Free weekend and now we were going on.

This Saturday we would play the First Place team. That coach is the coach that Hannah had during Tournament season earlier this year. He's a great Coach and he will be her All-Star coach this year too.

It was a tough game with the ball on both sides of the field. I thought it would go into a shootout...but in the last minute our team scored a goal. 1-0 another win.

What???? How could this be???? We move on to Area games even if we come in 2nd.

Today we took on the 2nd place team. We scored in the first Quarter. We did dominate most of the game. Hannah scored a goal in the third quarter. 2-0...he then put Hannah in center defense.

We Won the game 2-0. I guess it just goes to show... any given day.

Before each game the girls get in a huddle and chant fever, fever, fever...getting louder and louder each time! It gets them pumped up for the game!

"Kidnap Sandy Clause" Winter Dance Recital

Aliza's Winter Dance Recital was last weekend. It was an adorable FUN dance. The song, the costume and the choreography just went so well together! Taylor and Aliza did an awesome job doing their moves!

Christmas at Disneyland

On Friday we met up with some of the Mowers and the Wards. Everyone had a buddy to ride with. Aliza and Taylor, Hannah and Jacob, Aralie and Mady, Jordon and Ethan, Daleen and Leonard, Kim and Heather and everyone took turns holding Megan! We had a fabulous time at the Happiest Place on Earth. Some favorites were Toy Story, California Screamin', Soaring Over California and the Haunted Manison that Jack Wrecked the Halls for. It was great to see Kim and Mady.

I adore this picture, Jordon holding Ethan on the Pirates ride. He was a little nervous, so he sat on Jordon's lap throughout the ride.

This was the last amazing scene before we left for the night. The Castle transformed into a magical Ice Castle...Beautiful. Then it started snowing on Main Street. It was a great way to end a wonderful day!
