Christmas Eve 2007!!!!!

Magical moments in our house on Christmas Eve. I get so excited to see the kids excited. We did everything we were suppose to do on that special night. We were a little turkeyed out so we had tri-tip, and shrimp for dinner yum! The kids opened their Christmas Eve gifts Pj's of course and a game of "sorry". There was a lot of excitement and crazy play. The kids took turn leading their favorite Christmas songs on the brick (which is our home stage). We read the Christmas story, left treats for santa and friends and went to bed. Then M&D had fun preparing for Santa's arrival. Oh what fun!

Curls!!!

Lindsay's dream has always been to have curly hair like cousin Lena. Why do we always want the impossible. Whenever I curl her hair, within 1 hour it is straight. She has such heavy, thick strands. So today was her Christmas concert at school. She was pleading for curly hair. I didn't have any sponge rollers, and then I remembered how mom used to roll our hair in socks on Saturday night. After a somewhat painful sleep, we would have really tight curls. So I cut up some rags for Lindsay and rolled her hair up dry before bed. I've never seen such joy, when we undid the knots this morning. her hair was huge!!! She ran as fast as a girl could run into school today to show off her curly hair. By 1:00 for her concert she still had some curls. I"m glad that something could make her so happy today!

Babies best friend

Luke has been and is so adorable to me. Everyday is something new and brilliant. Every mother is amazed at what her baby can do I realize this, but Luke is just growing up so fast. I'm sure it is because he is keeping up with Lindsay and Jacob. Luke likes Chico, but Chico Loooovvves Luke. Luke has started to love the beloved blue chair, which you can see by the picture is very used and loved by all children that enter my home. Lately Chico gets excited when he sees Luke on the blue chair and will park next to him. Luke loves playing with hair and recently has discovered he actually has some on his own head. So in this picture he is rubbing his own hair. A few minutes after the picture I noticed Luke was rubbing Chico's hair in-between his fingers. So cute. LuKe has added a few words to his small word bank. He says "that" and points when he wants something. usually food. He has found it comes in very handy. He loves it when the kids start getting wound up and run around. He starts squealing and running along with them. He is such an affectionate little guy and I just love him so much.

Evita

Last week I had the opportunity to see the musical Evita. Thanks for the Invite Jamie, and thank you Pam for the ticket. It was such a fun girls night out. Thanks for making me feel like one of the sisters for a night. I enjoyed the story from a historical perspective, and always love Andrew Lloyd Webber's music.

I found the boys having this early morning tea party. the cute thing was how Luke was cooperating, not just destroying like usual. Jacob is such a nice big brother.
