I just wanted to say that I really appreciate those who comment on the blogs that I so dutifully post every so often. I love to see who has been stalking me and is interested in my life and hear what you have to say. For those who are not so Blog-Savvy, anyone can comment by clicking on the comment button below a post (hint hint mom and dad!) So basically, I think EVERYONE should comment sometime. My language of love is obviously words of affirmation or praise. So to improve my tender self esteem, just indulge me a little here and there...

Toys "R" Us
Tyler is now 5 months old and I continued to think that he should just be able to lay on the ground and play a little with the 2 toys that he has and he should be fine. Well, he hasn't been so fine recently, and it got me thinking that maybe he is getting a little bored and needs some new stimulation...so I went shopping! Here is a video and pictures of the new toys I got him. I think I enjoy them as much or more than he does. It is very entertaining to watch him go!
Snuggly Danimal
Dan took me to Create A Bear for Valentine's Day a few years ago and we made this cute teddy bear there and named him Danimal. I introduced him to Tyler the other day and needless to say, they hit it off very well. Ty loved attacking him with his mouth and rolling around on my bed with him. I thought it was the perfect 'Kodak moment.' It amazes me that babies even like to suck on furry things.
Not So Yummy Yum
We started feeding Tyler some rice cereal the other day and he actually really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, I didn't at all. After dry heaving a few times I had to get Dan to take over for me. This could definitely be a problem since my son will have to eat without Dan around sometimes. I think I just have a really hard time with all of the stuff coming back out. Uhg.
So I gave it another shot and have done quite well. Despite Tyler and his little seat getting a little messy, I would say it was a successful venture.

The End of Summer
Before I moved to Arizona, I always was so sad when summer was over. I hated the prospect of it getting cold and snowing and school starting. Well, since I am not in school anymore, and here, the end of summer means the beginning of beautiful weather...I AM SO EXCITED!!! Luckily, it flew by really quickly and there were a lot of wonderful things that happened this summer. The latest of which was our trip to Yosemite for a family reunion with Dan's family. There were 33 of us in all and we were so lucky to have the youngest of the bunch. Needless to say, Tyler was very happy to return home to his air conditioning, toys, and TV. We had a wonderful time though, even it Tyler didn't the whole time.
The first night was very interesting for me and Dan as we were awoken in the middle of the night by a huge animal outside our cabin window. We were looking at it only about 3 yards away and a screen in the window separating us. When it finally moved it turns out we saw a huge silhouette of a bear!!! That night we saw 4 in all and it was quite nerve racking for me. The next day we found out that since there is hardly any water around, there has been so much wildlife in the valley looking for food and water. Luckily all of the bears (hopefully) are tagged and tracked, so rangers know when and where they are in the camp. They are also armed with bean bag guns to shoot the bears with if they start misbehaving.
All in all, it was a wonderful trip, we had a great time hiking and playing and the best part was spending time with the fam. I really lucked out marrying into a wonderful family that I get along with and adore so much.
