More Idaho

This weekend we went to the temple in Twin Falls.

We also drove back to the falls to take some better pictures since the sun was shining.

People also parachute off the bridge over this river. I didn't have my camera with me when we saw some jumpers so I had to take these with my phone.

This weekend we head to Salt Lake to spend some time with Dean's sister. Then we head out to Portland to spend a week with Mom and Dad.

City of Rocks

Two weekends ago Dean and I decided to go see Balanced Rock. Balanced Rock is a 48ft tall, 40 ton rock that seems to be balanced on its end. It wasn't quite what we expected but it was still pretty cool to see.

This last weekend we decided to have Dean's uncle who lives close take us to the City of Rocks in southern Idaho. It is a National Reserve that has a bunch of different giant rock formations. It was really cool to see as well.

In a couple of weeks we will be heading to Utah for a couple of weeks....

Where the falls begin...

Last weekend Dean's uncle came to town and took us to see the falls. It was cloudy and a bit rainy so we didn't stay long and only took a few pictures. This is Shoshone Falls. And I'm sorry Mom and Dad but I think it puts your falls to shame.

This is Twin Falls. I never did find out where the other waterfall is. But we think it is dried up because of the changes to the power plant.

After we went to the falls we went to the home and garden show. Dogs were welcome so we took JAG. But she didn't like it much. At one of the booths we found some cool hats and Dean tried them on.

Just another Idaho spud...

While we were in Alabama we got word that they were sending us to Twin Falls, Idaho for two months before we end up in California. Dean is running a job to put in a new Deseret Book in Twin Falls. So when we got back to Kansas City we packed up all of our stuff and shipped it to California in storage until we get there. And we headed out to Idaho. On the way we stopped in Cheyenne, WY to spend the night with Dean's brother. And then we stopped in Provo, UT to spend the night with Dean's sister. While we were there we walked around a little bit and took some pictures.

After we got to Idaho we started looking around for things to see and do while we are here. There is a temple here as well.

And there is a canyon with a bunch of different falls, including the Twin Falls (yes Mom and Dad... WATERFALLS!).

We are planning trips to Salt Lake City and Idaho Falls and Rexburg while we are here. And we plan to check out some other things in the area. We will keep you posted.



Sweet Homeless Alabama...

It's been a while since we updated as the last couple months have been crazy. In December Dean finished his job in Altus, Oklahoma. And 5 days before Christmas we packed everything up and moved back to Kansas City. Dean's company was still trying to decide what to do with us so we decided to spend the holidays with family and see what happened from there. We bounced back and forth between Dean's parents and Nellie's for about 3 weeks. About a week after New Year's they called and told us they wanted Dean in Alabama to run a quick 3 week job and then we would be sent to California for 3 years starting in mid February. Since we were already living out of suitcases it was no big deal. So 2 weeks ago we headed out for Tuscaloosa, Alabama. We arrived the night of the BCS Championship and the town was crazy for their Crimson Tide. We don't care much for Alabama football but it did give us the opportunity to get our picture taken with the National Championship Trophy.

Today we also went and drove around campus and took pictures of the stadium.

Since we are living in a hotel room we take Jag to the park a lot and let her run around. She doesn't stray far though.

Friday Dean got a call and found out that we are headed to Twin Falls, Idaho at the beginning of February for 4 weeks before we head to California. It doesn't give us much time in Kansas City to get everything squared away before moving and living in a hotel for 2 months isn't anybody's idea of fun. But we are trying to make the best of it.
