TGIF

I'm so happy it's Friday. I'm Exhausted. It's been a long week and Jakob has not been sleeping well. I don't know what to do about it. Today when we got home from grocery shopping and picked up Jaxson from the bus all the kids had total melt downs. It was only 11:30am. Steve has a football game tonight and I don't know if he will make it home for dinner or go straight to the game. I'm sitting on the couch wondering if I should make dinner or not. Tomorrow is General Conference and I'm so excited! I can't wait to sleep in (hopefully) and lay on the couch and watch Conference all day. I hope it's raining. I love the rain when I have no where I need to go. I will make hot chocolate, snuggle with Steve, and let the kids destroy the house I spent all week cleaning. Awe yes, I love Conference Weekend!

P.S. Steve just called he's bringing home left over Famous Dave's from work! Awesome.

Love At Home

Ehlana: "Mama, do you know what I love? You."

Me: "Ehlana, do you know what I love? You."

Ehlana: "Do you know what I love? YOU!"

Me: "Do you know what I love? Jakob."

Ehlana: "Do you know what I love? Pupa." (Our mean cat who scratched her this morning.)

Me: "Do you know who I love? Jaxson."

Jaxson (in the other room): "Awe shucks!"

Ehlana: "Do you know what I love? Jaxson."

Jaxson: "Awe shucks!"

Me: "Do you know who I love? Daddy."

Ehlana: "Do you know what I love? My Daddy."

Me: "Do you know what I love? My family."

This could go on and on. I wish they could just stay little.

Ehlana's First Day of School

Miss Ehlana started Preschool last week. She was very excited. I woke her up that morning and told her she was going to school. She said, "Thank-you, Mama! Thank-you!"

She got herself ready and put her sweater on upside down.

A Different View of Seattle

Steve turned 31 last week. Since we did nothing for his 30th Birthday (we had just moved into our house) I wanted to surprise him with something fun this year. By surprise I mean I booked the flight a couple months before his birthday and waited about a week before I couldn't take it anymore and told him what we were doing. We took a scenic flight tour of Seattle. It was really fun! Steve had flown in a small airplane a few times when he was a kid and loved it. I had never been on a small airplane.

The weather was perfect. It was a great day and an experience we will never forget.

Kindergarten

Jaxson started Kindergarten last week. He was so excited! The day before he got to go visit the school to meet his teacher and see his classroom. We then had a "back to school night" I made letter pizza for dinner and we read the book Franklin Goes to School. Steve gave the kids their Father's Blessings and then we packed Jaxson's back pack and laid out his clothes. I asked him if he was nervous and he said no. Ehlana said yes! I had been telling her she was going to preschool but she didn't understand that it doesn't start for a couple weeks. She was even up in the night with anxiety saying, "I don't want to b late for school." Jaxson woke me up bright and early all dressed and ready to go. I made green letter pancakes for his first day and we were off to the bus! The bus came a little early so it got there right as we got there. He ran and jumped right on without any hesitation. I cried waking home from the bus stop. He came home from school happy and excited to go back. I'm so proud of him!
