Our great friends, the Schroeders, told us that they were looking to get rid of their toddler bed and wondered if we would be interested.
The offer could not have come at a better time because Tate had just started crawling out of his crib and I was looking for a change for him. Here it is all set up in his room!
He loves it and Bridger was equally as excited because now he says he can have sleepovers with Tate!
August brings about an exciting even every year and that's the first day of school! The kids were really excited this year.
I think Bridger Bear was the most excited because he finally gets to go to the same school and his big brother and sister. He's a big Kindergartner now!
Porter is in First Grade.
Abi is in Fourth Grade.
Abi was so excited to get to school and see her friends. Here she is with Kaitlyn Meyer.

The kids all LOVE their teachers this year and we have been seriously blessed with each of them. They are fantastic! I think Tate enjoyed his time with just Mommy for a few hours too!

We went out after school to celebrate our first day with the Ashby family. We went to Island Frozen Yogurt and each got a yummy treat.
Another exciting thing happened on Porter's first day of school - he lost another tooth during lunch.
That night we set up a camera trap to catch the tooth fairy and guess what?! We caught her sneaking in to collect the tooth and give Porter his money! (She doesn't look too happy that she had her picture taken.)
I had to run Matt to the airport early one morning and I got to see the sunrise on my way back home. I had to share a picture of it because it was just so pretty!
Porter has a good friend, Abe Sowell, that lives just down our street. Abe invited Porter to his birthday party and Porter was so excited.
The party was at "King Putt" which has laser tag, mini golf, arcade, and all sorts of other stuff. Porter LOVED it!
The kids decided that they were done with their "Ducky Bathroom" and were ready for a change. Abi wanted a zebra bathroom and the boys were kind enough to comply.
I didn't really buy the high-end stuff for the bathroom because my guess is that the boys are going to revolt soon and ask for something different. :) She is happy with it in the meantime.
I found the cutest idea on Pinterest and it was for a cheap magnet wall made out of an oil drip pan from Walmart. I just stuck it up with some Command velcro strips and it was ready to go. It turned out great and the kids (especially Tate) really enjoy it.
While I was at Walmart I happened on a clearance of the swing sets. I got an awesome set for only $100 and I was so excited but Matt was not thrilled when I came home because he realized that it required A LOT of assembly.
Matt happened to be working from home that week so we were able to dedicate some evening to it.
I have to admit that it really wasn't as bad as I was expecting to put together.
After three days we completed the project.
It turned out great and really fit quite nicely on one side of the yard. (I was worried because it was HUGE.)
The kids were so excited to try it out.
They love the swings most of all.
Bridger does love the slide too.
We have already had lots of little neighborhood kids coming over to try it all out.
Porter does everything out there, his homework, eats his dinner, and would sleep if I would let him. Pretty good for a hundred bucks!
Our friends, the Gammetts, had an end of the summer pool party at their house.
The kids had so much fun with their friends. (The boys like to torture the girls.)
Bridger went down the slide about a million times.
Tate was right there behind him every time too.
Porter took more of the "lounge and relax' approach to the afternoon.
There was good food, good friends, and it was a great time.
