The Spencer

Here are some pics of my little man. He started smiling really good this week, but I have yet to snap a picture of it, so those will be coming in the near future. In the mean time, here are some other cute ones:

Snugglin' with the sis

Oh, man I love this one. He is looking at me like I am some sort of idiot.

Yes, he is a fatty for sure. Do you think he will have self esteem issues because I called him fat when he was little?

Slip Slidin' Away!

Oh how I love summer time! Thats why I was so disappointed to learn that I exceed the weight limit for our new slip and slide! Can you believe it? You've got to be packing less than 110 lbs in order to enjoy the slippery goodness. Oh well, I guess I can't stay young (or skinny) forever! The kids had fun, though. Here are some pics:

Brotherly Love

Yesterday was our Stake Lagoon Day, and since Jason didn't get home from work until 4 (and also since we are so cheap), we just went on the free passes, and didn't opt for the ride passports. Along with those free passes is a coupon for the ever popular Tilt A Whirl. We thought our kids could handle it, so Jason took Halle first. She was a little scared, but ended up liking it when it was all over. But when I told her I was going to take Cameron on it, she FREAKED! No, mommy. He will be too scared {tears running down her face, and everything}. I assured her that everything would be okay, and that I would take care of him. He was fine. A little scared, but fine. Now, here is the funny part. When we got home, it was Halle's turn for bedtime prayers. Here is how the prayer went:

Dear HF
I'm so glad that Cameron didn't die on the Tilt a Whirl today,
and I promise I will never let him go on it again.
In the name . . .

Ha ha ha! I was laughing so hard, I had to leave the room so that I didn't make Halle angry.

At least they love eachother, right?!

GROSS!

Being the awesome mom that I am, I decided that today, we would have milkshakes for lunch. Why, you ask? Because I felt like it, and because my parents never let me have milkshakes for lunch when I was little. AND because Sonic has them for 99 cents right now. Sooooo, anyhow, I decided that I would drive up to the window since we were on our way home from the gym (I know, a milkshake cancels out anything that was accomplished at the gym, but BACK OFF, I wanted one!). So anyway, as I was peeking through the drive-up window, I saw Bobby (I'm not sure if that is his name, but he looked like a Bobby) making shakes. I watched intently, hoping that it was MY yummy creation that he was concocting. But then, to my HORROR, I saw him swipe his finger around the rim of the cup ( I guess there was a drip), LICK his finger, and then swipe it again! Maybe I am overreacting, but that is GROSS! And trust me, I am not a germophobe like some of you are. In fact, some days go by that I don't even bathe my kids. But THIS grossed me out. So, back to the story. I watched that shake like a hawk, and luckily it went out the door to someone else (so sad for them . . . they'll never know!) but then the same guy proceeded to make shakes. Before he made ours, I saw him wash his hands, and I was certain that no lickage had occurred on our shakes due to my never deviating eye, so we hesitantly paid for them and ate them. The moral to this story is, unless you like Bobby the shake guy licking the rim of your cup, either go somewhere else for your shake, or drive up to the window so that you can SEE whether or not there is lickage.

Hmmmm, I like that word "lickage". I think I will use it more often. Here is your challenge for the day: use the word "lickage" somewhere in your blog! Ha ha ha.

Tag . . . Ya, THANKS Erika!

I guess that in order to stay active in my religion, I have to complete this tag, so here goes:

A- Attached or single: Stuck like glue to my hubby Jason.

B- Best Friend: Do I really need to have a "best" friend; why can't all of my friends be equal?

C-Cake or Pie: PIE PIE PIE, even on my birthday, PIE! (Unless it's cheesecake)

D-Day: Used to be Sunday until I had kids, now church is not so fun . . . so Saturday!

E- Essential Item: My computer. I swear, my whole LIFE is on that thing. I hope it never crashes!

F- Favorite Color: Blue

G-Gummi Bears or Worms: I agree with Erika, worms because they’re more fun to eat

H-Home town: Bountiful, UT

I- Indulgences: Chocolate, going to the gym, and spending money on myself

J- January or July?: Birthday is in January, but I am not a big fan of winter, so definately July . . . as long as there's air conditioning!

K-Kids: Three for now, two in diapers, and one extremely large child AKA Jason.

L-Life is incomplete without: Family

M- Marriage Date: December 28, 2000. Ya, we hurried and got married before 2001 so that it will be easier to remember how many years we have been married.

N- Number of Siblings: 3 big bros, 1 big sis

O- Oranges or Apples: Oranges all the way. I sometimes wake up in the middle of the night and can't go back to sleep until I drink some OJ!

P- Phobias or Fears: I have a very strong fear of spiders . . . okay, maybe it's a phobia!

Q- Quote: “As far as everyone else knows, we're a perfectly normal family.” - Homer Simpson

R- Reason To Smile: My baby smiled at me for the first time today!

S- Season: Fall. Not too hot, not too cold. And definately a nice break from the summer heat.

T- Tag Three Friends: ummmmm, Kim Wynder, Chalyce Wilde (unless, of course, this is too CHEEZY for you), and whoever is reading this as a BLOGSTALKER!

U- Unknown fact about me: I once certified as a boy scout so that I could sail on a boy scout boat for a week.

V- Vegetarian or Oppressor of Animal: There's nothing wrong with meat in moderation!

W- Worst Habit: I pull our my eyelashes. I know, I am TOTALLY a freak. I swear, it's not my fault, though. When I was a teenager I was in a really bad car accident, and the airbag singed them off. Ever since, it BUGS me when they start to grow in because they poke the opposite edge around my eye whenever I blink.

X-Rays or Ultrasounds: I have definately had my share of ultrasounds!

Y-Your favorite food: I know, it is a lot of people's favorites, but it is pretty hard to beat a Cafe Rio Pork Salad. Unless . . . it is the Sizzling Rice Soup from the Mandarin. Mmmmmm.

Z: Zodiac Sign: Aquarius

HaPpY BiRtHdAy JaSoN!

OK, so here is the cheeziest of all cheezy posts. For Jason's 30th birthday,
30 things I love about him (in no particular order).

1. He is a good daddy, and always makes time for his kids, even when he gets home from work and is tired and just wants to rest.

2. He will do whatever I ask him to; dishes, diapers, you name it. If I ask, he will always say yes!

3. He works SO hard for his family. He was gone from us for more than half of 2007, training for his job! Whenever I would complain about being a single mom, he would always say, "at least you get to be with our kids!"

4. He has lots of good friends, who he keeps in touch with and would do anything for.

5. He is an AWESOME pitcher.

6. Oh, baby I love your big sexys (his monstrous legs).

7. He doesn't stress the little things, which is important, because we all know that I DO.

8. He always lets me have the last one . . . candy, cheesey rolls, cans of soda, etc.

9. He makes yummy breakfasts.

10. He is a strong priethood holder, and is always ready to give blessings to our family, or others who ask.

11. He gives me great back massages ALL THE TIME . . . LIKE ALMOST EVERY DAY.

12. He does the funniest things in his sleep; walks, talks, frantically tries to get me out of the house. Ha ha, good times!

13. He never says no when somebody asks him for help. In our old ward, I think he helped someone move every single weekend. C'mon, ask someone else for a change!

14. He runs out to get me treats late at night. "Please, baby; I NEED a milkshake!"

15. He does stupid little things to entertain kids, like his Donald Duck impression (ask him to do it for you sometime if you haven't heard it- it's way embarrassing).

16. He would do anything for his extended family. Barbecues, birthdays, yardwork . . . you name it, he is there.

17. He recognizes when I just need to get out, and sometimes offers to watch the kids for a few hours so that I can go do "whatever [I] want."

18. He will try anything. I think he would go skydiving if he got the chance (which is so opposite me- I HATE trying something new, for fear I might be bad at it).

19. He eats whatever I cook . . . we all know how difficult that must be!

20. He tells me "thank you" for doing the things I always do, like taking care of kids, or cleaning the house.

21. He kisses me goodbye every morning before he leaves for work.

22. He tells me how it is. If my shirt makes me look fat, he tells me! In fact, he says, no sweetie, your fat makes you look fat!

23. He is very coordinated at gaming, whether it's on the computer, or with a gaming system. I could practice for MONTHS and still not be as good as he is the first time he plays.

24. He is an awesome pilot, even though he has temporarily given up flying for the sake of his career.

25. He cracks me up with the funny things he does (like sexually harrassing his brother-in-law at Sam's club- classic!)

26. He loves to be loud and play rough with our wild animal children; sometimes it's like I have 4!

27. He has the cutest smile. Especially when he pinches his lips shut, exaggerating his dimples.

28. He will watch any kind of movie; even chick flicks! Yay for me!

29. He is so stinkin' smart! He has 4 degrees!

30. Last, but not least, he puts up with me, and all of the stupid things I do and say EVERY DAY. For that, he should be praised!

YOU'VE HAD A BIRTHDAY, SHOUT HOORAY!
WE WANT TO SING TO YOU TODAY!
ONE YEAR OLDER, AND WISER TOO!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY {clap} TO YOU!
Love ya J, Mar

Hey Look!

I found a cartoon image of myself! Ha ha! I tried taking all 3 to the grocery store today for the first time. Interesting. Not the funnest thing in the world, but not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. It was challenging finding places for all of the groceries . . . "Here, Halle, can you hold the milk?!"
