Especially for You

We walked our first family 5k this past weekend, the girls did great, Hannah walked the whole thing without a single complaint.  We had a lot of fun together!

Fall Park Trip

First Day of Preschool

Claire was so excited for her first day of preschool.  She'd been talking all Summer about starting school and was up and ready early when the day finally arrived!

 

Apparently the hands twisted in front is her new pose-

 

She'd already decided before we arrived that playing with the farm was going to be her first activity, so she was all smiles when she saw that it was free and got right to playing-

 

Quick hugs goodbye, but she did great with her first drop off-

 

I picked her up after school and we went out for a lunch date, where she requested to just have cheese sticks, while we talked about her fun day-

 

She's loving preschool so far and every day she can't wait to go back and play with her friends again!

Brunch

 

One of our favorite Sunday family day activities is going to Iowa River Power Company for brunch, and walking over the bridge after-

 

 

 

I just wish we got more of those days!

2nd grade

 

I can't believe my first baby is already off to 2nd grade!  I pray she has a great year!

 

Little sister is so proud of her big sis!  She was disappointed to find out she wouldn't be riding the bus with her to school-

 

2nd grade friends!

 

Off she goes!  I can't wait for her to get home this afternoon and hear all about her day!

Park

One of the parks in North Liberty remodeled and put in these big disc swings.  The girls, who love to swing anyway, thought they were the best thing ever! 

We're not at all ready for Summer to end!

Grandpa's Helpers

 The girls love helping Grandpa in his garden!  This past week they were able to help him pick tomatoes for Farmer's Market and had so much fun!

 

I think they filled 4 full crates together and that was just a fraction of the tomatoes ready-

 

They both did some sampling too-

 

Claire's method was to fill her arms as full as possible before depositing all her picked tomatoes in the wheelbarrow-

 

 

Hannah filled her arms pretty full too-

 

It's days like these when I wish we lived closer!
