So many miracles every single day!
How is everyone!? SO great I hope!!! Today marks ONE YEAR since I left on the most amazing journey of my life :) Wow that happened fast...I guess true what they say... time flies when you’re e having fun!!! SO FUN! I’ve loved it all! and I’m more than positive this next year will be even better, because it just gets better every single day!!!
This week was pretty interesting. Elder Davis and I have been doing a lot. Last week we were a bit disappointed because we didn’t feel like we got so much done...because SO many people canceled on us... But it turned out good, and this week is looking at least a little better... were already SO busy tomorrow and Saturday! We are totally booked if everything works out. Recently we’ve been focused on trying to find new people to teach. It’s... quite an adventure: / HA I love it! There are so many interesting people in Hong Kong. We’ve seen this guy named David a couple of times now... we met him one day contacting in a park while he was playing with his model boats that he turns into remote control boats... it’s pretty cool... We saw him yesterday and I think we realized... he is WAY obsessed with model boats. it’s SO funny. He is retired and his whole life is just about buying and building new model boats. He is a really nice and fun guy... but after yesterday ( when we met him he just brought TONS of books about model boats to show us, plans, blueprints, instructions, magazines, Everything!) ... we probably won’t see him much anymore... every time we try to share a message with him, we just find out how much more unwilling and atheist he is... so... it’s sad because he is normal cool and nice... but we will probably have to move on.
In other news, When I first came here I contacted a kid named Eden,... He is Awesome! Last Sunday he came to church and we talked and taught him, then afterward when he said his prayer... it was the most touching sincere prayer I’m pretty sure I’ve ever heard... the spirit really was there! He said how thankful he was for all the feelings of comfort he had felt that day about 5 or 6 times... it was a rather long prayer. There is defiantly something good about this kid. So I’ve been talking to him on the phone all this week. He is so awesome, he asks so many cool questions... he is looking for truth and you talk to him, you can totally tell. it’s SO great. He is really busy but he told me that he prays every night, and has read the introduction and opening part of the Book of Mormon and he loves it! I’m so excited for him. We should get the chance to see him on Saturday and Sunday from what he is saying. WOOHOO!
Ok. Now for my Favorite part!!! The Chan Family! and Dennis! They are SO great! I really do love them! I can’t remember how much I’ve explained so I will go over a little bit of their situation again. Dennis's cousin Rocky has just left on a mission, His whole family are really strong members. Rocky's Mom is Brother Chans Sister. So he knows the Church because he took the discussions with his sisters. So! last Friday! An AMAZING thing happened! Me and Elder Davis were studying when,... Sister Wu ( Rocky’s mom/ Brother Chan's Sister) calls! I answered and she wanted to talk about what I should share on Sunday when we see them! She told me that she just talked to their family last night after they received an E-mail from rocky sharing his testimony with them... She talked to them for a while and she thinks that they have changed a lot. Before the mom didn’t have much interest to try, but now she told sister Wu that she thinks it is good, she wants Dennis to join the Church, and she also wants to try. The Dad not to long ago went through some hard times and has picked up smoking and Drinking, but she says she knows he knows the gospel is true, but he is afraid to join because he doesn’t think he can keep commandments. But she says he will change and soon. So, she told us that when we see them, we should give them all the big challenges now like: Ask the mom to change her work schedule (nearly Impossible for Hong Kong people ) so she won’t have to work on Sunday, and to commit the dad not to drink or smoke anymore. Then she told me a story. Rocky left on his mission about 3 weeks ago... Right before he left he said a prayer with his family... and how in his prayer he prayed that his cousin Dennis and their family could have another chance to hear the gospel. (Now my side really quick) The Monday after he left... I was rummaging through a former book... Saw a record that was almost blank sounded very normal, was about 4 years old, and was just a 8 year old kid at the time (now 12) ... there are TONS of records, seriously books and books and books full... but for some reason I felt like I should just give the number a try... so I did... and now Sister Wu thinks that this could be the time for them and is the answer to Rocky & their Prayers... and most of all... She told me that she knows they are ready to change... :) maybe it’s only amazing to Me, Elder Davis, and Sister Wu... But... I can’t even describe how great of a miracle this has meant for so many people. I can’t even describe! SO... SO cool! I LOVE MY MISSION! I see SO many Miracles Everyday!!! On Monday we were out finding, and we stopped and talked to a kid... We asked him if he had ever seen missionaries before and he said Yes, about 5 years ago ( ! ) ... and then he told us his name... and that he met him on the street once... it’s so amazing that people really do remember us... maybe two or three minutes meeting on the street... and even 5 years later someone remembers everything he said what church he was from and the missionaries Name!!!! We are Not that easily forgotten... :) pretty amazing. Wow! This week has been really powerful... :) I honestly feel like I can’t express myself... It makes all the other crazy things so worth it... a Couple days ago we were out contacting and I started talking to these two kids... then they started to look scared and kept looking up... so I look up to see a WHOLE BRIGE full of people looking down and laughing, swearing, pointing and making fun of me and criticizing our church... It would be an understatement to say that I was a little shocked that people would take the time to stop where they were going to look down off a bridge and laugh at a white kid talking to some students... Sometimes it’s discouraging, when everywhere you go you’re laughed at and criticized and endless coursings toward us and our church... but the best part is... I see a miracle everyday that reminds me who is in charge... and the promises we’ve been given... its hard not to think of the scripture... "Blessed are all they who are persecuted for my name's sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven" ..." for ye shall have great joy and be exceedingly glad for great shall be your reward in heaven; for so persecuted they the prophets who were before you." (3 Nephi 12 )
Everyone stay strong. :) Thank you for always being my example to stay strong. And teaching me about our Savior who loves and watches out for every one of us. :) Keep the Fire! The Gospel is true! :)

Teaching, Finding & Chasing Cows....
Hello Everyone!!!!
Hello from Hong Kong!!! How is everyone!?!?! Want to Lean a little bit of Chinese Culture? The Chinese are crazy about healthy... in fact most people i ask " What is the purpose of life" they will mostly answer " Healthy body"... family falls around #4 or so... pretty sad... Anyway! So they actually have their own thing about eating healthy... there is no real translation, but they call it "yiht hei" which means hot air... so if something is yiht hei, that means that it is unhealthy, for one reason or another.
My hypothesis about yiht hei is actually that Chinese people just don't like some food, so they will call it yiht hei.
Finally!, after months of being told that its ligit, i found evidence!... so along the list of some yiht hei food (that i think is totally crazy) are : pinapples, strawberries, most drinks (like gatorade) ice cream, pizza, and a ton of other stuff. maybe some of that really is unhealthy... BUT... i proved the yiht hei theory to be totally crazy! Because the other day i asked a person if smoking or drinking is yiht hei (ctually i said it was) and they corrected me and said it isnt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT!I!?!?!...
Anyway! moving on to the week! this week was really cool! a little slow, but I still have some things so say! first off!!! We taught the family ( the family of Dennis Chan, the former i called a few weeks ago.) and when we went, his aunt just happened to be over with her family. Who are All members!!!!:) it was so cool! we taught them a simple restoration lesson and talked mostly about prophets. They were all very accepting and the lesson went SO well. at the end we gave a baptismal invitation, and Dennis (the son) took it! his family said they were'nt quite ready,but Dennis wants to! and told his Dad that he has to bring him to church! :) Yes! so great. We also had the chance to see Franky
Thank you so much everyone for the prayers in her behalf, please continue, she is still recieving so much pressure. its quite scary. Well, the rest of the story for this week is we dropped almost every other investegator we had, because they won't schedule anymore, except for 1... named William, He quite loves bible bashing!!!! Yikes!!!! We will keep trying a little longer... but we might have to just let him go to... i think he might just be trying to prove we are wrong. . . Ha!... anyway! thats about it as far as teaching goes!
This week has been pretty... interesting outside of lessons... we had a lot of people show us up, and since our church is 30 minutes away from our area... we had so much maah faahn this week. it was hard to get there for a considerable amount of time. Anyway, were still doing finding,and have found the best bread shop... maybe on earth!!!! :)
Today we went to (in my opinion) the most beautiful place in Hong Kong. The place is called Sai Kung... it is out away from everything, probably the one place to go for quiet in all of Hong Kong, and its SO cool! It is a chain of very pretty beaches and scenery... and... yeah... wow... :) we played some frisbee, found a random restauraunt and ate some amazing seafood, chased a cow along the beach and into a forest... yes, a cow in a forest :) We built the most epic sand kingdom ever... hoping it would get taken out by a sweet wave but we built it to high up... so we destroyed it... by rocks poles... and an Anchor!!!! ( i totaly swung an anchor around and threw it at a sand castle... i bet not many people can say they've done that! especially not in China!!!!:)ha ) then took a Super relaxing nap on the beach :) it was SO ... great... aaah...
Thats about it for this week!. it was pretty random, pretty awsome, and i still LOVE being a missionary :) I love my mission. Thank all of you who have helped me :) send letters of encouragement and have been my friend :) love all of you :)

Everything is going great in Hong Kong!
Hello Everyone!!
How are you!? Have you eaten rice yet? ;)
Everything is going great here in Hong Kong! Every day is so... special, in a special way. There are just so many random everyday experiences that I just don’t know where to start!!!
Like just a few days ago me and Elder Davis met a monk guy on the street... and gave us these cool little amulet things... that were in Chinese and we didn’t know what they said... we just thought it was funny that he would walk over and give us one... so then... we take it home and ask the native in our apartment... he laughed... I don’t know what it means... but apparently it’s funny? I’ll see if I can find out this week!... for now it is safely in my journal!
We went finding so much this week... Elder Davis and I came up with this genius plan... we live about 30 minutes outside our area, by bus, and recently when we’ve been contacting the only people that will talk to us are Ivy students.... and they are all coming from the same school... so the past two days we have been on a quest to find this school! Because as far as we know all those students are pretty willing to talk to us! We’ve found some pretty funny things (like a middle school called: Precious Blood Middle school... we were a little worried... but it’s SO funny!... and a big sign... I’ll send a picture home :) somehow when you become a missionary; it seems like all the things that made you laugh when you were 5... make you laugh again! hahah! ) and some pretty cool things and places too. FINALLY! Yesterday we found it! We talked to a kid who said he just got off school and that was his school!... and secretly found out when the school gets out!!! Aha! Yes!!!! Anyway... things stay pretty entertaining around here.
Our investigators are really good, they are all so cool! Frankie is doing great; next time we see her we are going to try to give her a baptismal goal for next month on the 13th. Her faith is so strong. I don’t know if I have said, but, before i really knew people didn’t like us, or our church for whatever reason ( none of them know anything about it... pretty dumb) anyway, here on the island people Really Really don’t like our church... they will say anything to get kids here to hate us! grr... makes me so mad! Teachers mostly... agh... Anyway... Franky is receiving SO much anti right now... to the point that its making her afraid of losing friends and last time we saw her she cried... it was so sad... but she says she knows that she is making the right choice, because of the feelings she gets when she prays and comes to church... she is pushing on so strong... keep her in your prayers, please!
Now Story of the week! This week has been pretty special, because all the mission presidents and seventy are here in Hong Kong and in the Wan Chai building that I’m in. so I see them all the time! It’s so cool! President (Elder?) Watson in the quorum of the seventy has been checking missionaries’ missionary stuff all week (planners, area books, member books, former books, all kinds of records) and he checked an elder’s former book in my apartment... as he was looking through it he said “if missionaries only knew the power in these books... “Then he made a promise “Every missionary in this mission has at least one person in their former records that is waiting to be baptized." ... wow... so later that day when I hear from that missionary that President Watson said that... I went straight to our former book and started calling... I came across a record of a boy who was 8 years old about 4 years ago... and I called him... he answered the phone and i talked to him for a minute about who I am and things... then I asked if he had time and interest to meet with us... he told me to wait and I heard him ask his mom in the background (normally all parents know about us... so I had basically given up... ) then I heard the mom respond "Yes! Can you come over on Sunday nights?" I was totally in shock!!!! So we scheduled them and then i went with Elder Davis on Sunday to meet them... we ended up teaching the Whole Family!!!!! (.... YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ) SO HAPPY! They are so amazing! so happy! after talking to them we found out so much... like how a few months ago the boy's cousin ( dads, sisters, son) Rocky... went on a mission to Australia!!!! And Rocky's whole family is members! so the dad knows a lot about the church and almost committed Dennis to baptism for us!!!! ... Almost... ha :) ... they are a great family! And we get to see them again on Sunday!!! I’m so excited.
The whole experience has strengthened my testimony so much... in following the promises of God’s servants on the earth... I know that the promises that the make to all of us... are 100% real, and true. It is so happy and so comforting to know that we have a prophet who guides and directs us :) when we follow him. we will be blessed. I’m so happy to be a missionary called by a prophet of God to share this gospel to everyone who will hear... :) it’s amazing.

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ) SO HAPPY! They are so amazing! so happy! after talking to them we found out so much... like how a few months ago the boy's cousin ( dads, sisters, son) Rocky... went on a mission to Australia!!!! And Rocky's whole family is members! so the dad knows a lot about the church and almost committed Dennis to baptism for us!!!! ... Almost... ha :) ... they are a great family! And we get to see them again on Sunday!!! I’m so excited.
The whole experience has strengthened my testimony so much... in following the promises of God’s servants on the earth... I know that the promises that the make to all of us... are 100% real, and true. It is so happy and so comforting to know that we have a prophet who guides and directs us :) when we follow him. we will be blessed. I’m so happy to be a missionary called by a prophet of God to share this gospel to everyone who will hear... :) it’s amazing.
