Lost Teeth

Junior has now lost 2 teeth. And when he loses them, he really loses them. As in, we can't find them.

We Are Home

We were discharged Sunday. Samantha is still on oxygen, but otherwise unencumbered. She's recovering day by day.

Almost There

The plan is to test Samantha's blood in the morning and do an echo. If they both look like they expect they will, they will discharge her tomorrow!

She is still grouchy, but her normal personality is coming through more each day. It is nice to see her getting back to herself. It's a good sign that she's on the mend.

Post-Op Echo

Samantha is doing great today. She is still uncomfortable and grouchy, but that's understandable. They pulled out her chest drainage tube this morning and ordered an echo. It was scheduled for this afternoon so her surgeon didn't get the results before he came by, but he was really pleased with her progress. The echo went well and showed that the Glenn is performing correctly. Her heart is beating a little weaker than before, which sometimes happens with bypass. She will get medications for it and it should improve. So we have a couple more days while they get her dosage to the level they want. We may get to go home Monday if everything goes as planned.

Movin' on Up

We are out of critical care already! Samantha has a new room on the medical/surgical floor.

This means we are one step closer to going home. Samantha still doesn't feel too well, but her body is adjusting and healing itself nicely.
