Our little town fire station had an open house recently and of course with a three year old little boy who loves fire trucks we had to go!!! We had a ball! We saw lots of friends and rode the train, sat in the fire truck and rescue vehicles, ate hot dogs and ice cream and got to see a real fire!

So much to do....so little time!

I have been a bad little blogger! So much has happened and time is just flying by! Our little man turned 3 and I don't know where the time has gone. I wanted to get some fun little pictures for his birthday and he was pretty cooperative. He is getting so big. At his 3 year check-up he weighed in at 40 pounds and is 43 inches tall! His pediatrician said he is a solid rock and is right on target in every way! I had to laugh because he had a male nurse this time and he just kept looking at him with a strange look on his face......he is used to the girls at the office.

He is such a joy....and sometimes a challenge :o) in our lives. We love him to pieces! Some of his favorite things to do are finding and pointing out all the big trucks and tractors and work equipment when we are are out driving (Texas, the land of never ending road construction), playing with his big building blocks and building roofs and towers, watching "Jack's Big Music Show" and singing and dancing along, playing outside, moving things from one place to another, singing primary songs, playing with daddy, and my favorite.....saying prayer. He never forgets to thank Heavenly Father for his toys! He is sooooo talkative and comes up with some of the funniest things. One of his favorite sayings is "I just don't know" and he says it with such fluctuation in his voice it just makes us laugh. He is very good at letting us know what he wants and what he likes or dislikes. And he is ALL BOY!!!!!

Things in our house are crazy as usual. Eric is working hard and just when he thinks he can relax, Max wants to play and I have a project or two for him to do. He loves teaching primary and his kids love him to death! I am loving my evening work at home doing debtor education classes for a consulting firm and the DOJ and of course I am always re-decorating and changing things around at home! My poor husband never knows what he will come home to! He is such a good sport as long as I don't move his phone charger or move the TV :o)

My dad is keeping busy and doing well. Every night before he goes to bed, Max goes "trick-or treating" in papa's room. My dad has a little container of small treats and Max visits every night.

We recently has a wonderful weekend with the Neal gang in Oklahoma at the Deer Creek Lodge. Max learned to fish and he loved riding in the canoe with Aunt Andrea. he had the best time being with nana and papa and all his Neal cousins!
