Tila Ribbon

I'm usually more regular with my posts but right now life is just happening way too fast... We picked the date: 8th of January: we are permanently moving back to the UK. I'm doing this moving between countries third time. I think I had enough for a while ;)

Anyway, this is the explanation why I'm so not posting anything. Honestly, I'm happy I can still find some time for beading... Not even talking about all the other things I should get done before we move. I hope I will hafve more time for my "e-social life" after we settled down again.

And until then here is my newest design, a simple and very fast project:

More Tila stuff and future new game

Okay, you could say I'm in kind of a Tila-fever and you have not even seen the stuff on my beading trays waiting to be shown. These little tricky squares got built in to my mind and keep my imagination occupied. I honestly don't mind it at least I'm concentrating something less stressful then swapping country in January...

Okay, here is the next one, which is technically the first one but had a very crap picture due to lack of sunshine and patience.

This one is called "Tila Time" but I'm kind of getting bored of my choice of names as far as Tila stuff is concerned. (Guess what, I also have one on my try called Tila Ribbon. May be I could just use T.Ribbon, like a decent family name.)

So, back to the main stuff, I have the tutorial for this one in my Etsy shop, but sorry guys you still have to wait for my other Tila bracelet I posted yesterday. The graphics are done for the tutorial, only instructions are missing and will finish that tomorrow.

FUTURE NEW GAME

Also I have something in my mind about a new game as the first game I had on my blog was extremely successful. I'm still getting huge hit on THAT post with the free Peyote patterns. Well, obviously I can't give away all my patterns for free to everybody, but I will do for on lucky guy (randomly picked of course) who will comment on my future post - I will post when I finished the tutorial - and shares it with others. Okay, this was one complex and long sentence. The point is, I will make a blog post probably tomorrow about the new tutorial and just leave a comment and post it on your blog or Facebook and you can be the winner of my newest tutorial.

We will see how it goes and I may do this game for my other new tutorials too. What do you think?

Petals and cubes

This sweet pendant started as a logical decision to do something with my Miyuki cubes. I really love them, in fact I love them so much I have a whole box of them in all different colors and finishes. But be honest: beside the fact that they don't look that good in a plastic box I really intended to use them.

Sometime. Somewhere.

I started to play around with these pretty cubes back in May, just before we moved and I managed to come up with the idea of the petal, but really did not like how they were around the rivoli. Now I'm on a mission to finish the tutorial for ALL of my pendants I designed this year (yep, I'm addicted, once I'm beading, hard to stop it to make tutorials...) and found this little bit ugly looking flower pendant.

I really loved the colors together so decided to give it a facelift. Literally. As I moved the petals one row lower in the bezel the rivoli looked bigger and more dominant. Really loved the result:

After I finished the purple-pink rather girlish flower I wanted something elegant, and really loved how the frosted teal flower turned out. These frosted colors go so very well with the sparkling rivolis, don't you think?

I could have been satisfied with these too, and start to work on the tutorial but I felt something was missing :) After the fashion-pink and the elegant-teal I just had to try this one to satisfy my joyful "Me"

Mission accomplished!

I was really happy with my new pendants and also got good comments on my Facebook page so it was time to open my graphics program to do all the diagrams and drawings. I was surprised how easy it was now, that I knew every step by heart. I should not postpone the tutorials in the future, it is so much easier to do straight after the beading part is done! Always learn something new, don't we?

Facebook Fever

Yeah, it reached me too. I tried to resist but I lost...

To be honest, I've seen that people around me use FB to make their PERSONAL life completely open to anybody. It was just too weird for me. Worse than a blog. No Privacy any more in your life.

Than it hit me: there are thousands of beaders out there and how great it would be to know what they are up to! So now what my personal profile used to be is an FDEkszer beading fan profile. I keep connecting friends from all over the planet and feels so good to find like minded and check out their fantastic beadwork!

Now in the mean time - even if I seemed to be very quiet - we are working very hard to get all the patterns available to our customers on all the different sites. I hope this part of our job will be done very soon because I miss beading very much. Converting our patterns to loom is a huge job even if it seems great fun. We have nearly 300 patterns to convert and make a PDF for the Loom Pattern, than upload them to all the sites we sell beading patterns.

Our Artfire shop FDEkszer got a completely new look. Allan designed everything, I think it looks fantastic. He also started to upload the Loom patterns and will add some new everyday.

New tutorials in my new Etsy shop

okay, not everything is new. I'm the same old me :)
Did I mention at all that I opened a new Etsy shop for the tutorials? Well, it was necessary because my little beauties got lost among the 200+ peyote pattern unless I put them in the featured window. This worked with 2 tutorials, but I run out of space :)
So I opened a second (actually third, my second is the FDEkszer Loom Patterns shop) shop which has now more than 4 tutorials in it. To be precise it has exactly 5 items in it. But not for long :) I keep uploading the tutorials I've done already.

Also got some loom patterns done

I'm working hard to get the patterns in loom as fast as I can, but honestly, it will take some time. We have more than 250 patterns now to convert... This will keep me busy for a while :)

I'm in so spring mood now...

no more cold morning, please! Instead I want some of these in the garden (probably I have to train them how to swim as our garden is still under water partially...)
