Nina Hagen (born Catharina Hagen on 11 March 1955) is a singer from East Berlin, Germany. Hagen's parents are Hans Hagen (also known as Hans Oliva), a scriptwriter, and Eva-Maria Hagen, an actress and singer. Her paternal Jewish grandparents died in Sachsenhausen concentration camp. Her parents divorced when she was two years old, and growing up she saw her father infrequently. At age four, she began to study ballet, and was considered an opera prodigy by the time she was nine.When Hagen was 11, her mother married Wolf Biermann, an anti-establishment singer-songwriter. Biermann's political views influenced young Hagen: she was "dishonorably discharged" from the Free German Youth group at age 12, and became active in political protests against the East German government. Hagen left school at age 16, and joined the cover band Fritzens Dampferband (Fritzen's Steamboat Band, together with Achim Mentzel and others). She added songs by Janis Joplin and Tina Turner to the "allowable" set lists during shows.

She had already gained a reputation as a flamboyant rock singer by the time she emigrated to the West in 1976, where she formed a band, signed to CBS Germany, and released their debut album, Nina Hagen Band, in 1978. It was followed in 1980 by Unbehagen. Hagen's first U.S. release, Nina Hagen Band EP (1980), was a four-song EP consisting of songs drawn from her two German releases. She moved to New York and made her first English-language LP, Nunsexmonkrock, in 1982. That and its follow-up, the Giorgio Moroder-produced Fearless (1983), charted briefly, and "New York New York" was a Top Ten dance club hit. But Hagen left CBS after Nina Hagen in Ekstacy (1985). In 1988, she celebrated her marriage with the EP Punk Wedding, released in Canada, and in 1989 she returned to the German market with Nina Hagen.

The Velvet Underground was an American experimental rock band formed in New York City, New York. First active from 1965 to 1973, their best-known members were Lou Reed and John Cale, who both went on to find success as solo artists. Although never commercially successful while together, the band is often cited by many critics as one of the most important and influential groups of their era and to many future musicians.

Conformed by: Lou Reed (vocals, guitar, harmonica, piano); John Cale (vocals, acoustic & electric violas, sarinda, piano, organ, celeste, bass); Doug Yule (vocals, guitar, piano, organ, bass); Sterling Morrison (vocals, guitar, bass); Maureen "Moe" Tucker (vocals, percussion); Billy Yule (drums).

The Velvet Underground first gained a degree of fame and notoriety in New York City in 1966 when they were selected as the house band for Andy Warhol's Factory and his Exploding Plastic Inevitable events. The band's music and lyrics challenged conventional societal standards of the time, and broke ground for other musicians to do the same. The band favored experimentation, and also introduced a nihilistic outlook through some of their music. Their outsider attitude and experimentation has since been cited as pivotal to the rise of punk rock and, later, alternative rock.This box set includes complete and digitally remastered versions of all four of the band's studio albums released by the Lou Reed-led lineup, and a wealth of previously unreleased goodies.

Most serious Velvet fans have all four of the core studio albums already (although the third, self-titled LP is presented in its muffled, so-called "closet" mix), and will be most interested in the previously unavailable recordings, which do hold considerable fascination. The entire first disc is devoted to a drummer-less 1965 rehearsal tape in John Cale's loft, with radically different, almost folky run-throughs of most of the important songs from their classic debut, as well as a song that only made it onto Nico's first LP ("Wrap Your Troubles in Dreams"), and one which makes its first appearance anywhere (the Dylanesque "Prominent Men"). Other big bonuses include no less than seven outtakes from Loaded and other songs re-done by Reed on his early solo albums. And there are sundry other unreleased live and studio items, highlighted by a scorching live 1967 "Guess I'm Falling in Love" and the 1969 demo "Countess From Hong Kong."

There are also highlights from VU and Another View, longer versions of Loaded's "Sweet Jane" and "New Age," and an 80-page booklet. The thing is, though, that virtually everyone who's interested in this material has already bought the four studio albums, sometimes several times over. A separate release of the two discs or so of truly new material would have been welcomed by the many fans who aren't interested in paying for a five-CD box of stuff when they already have well over half of it.

Grupo alemán de música neoclásica y neomedieval la cual fué una de las piedras angulares de la compañía Hyperium Records. El nombre es extraído de la película de 1969 del mismo nombre dirigida por Fassbinder.

El grupo se caracteriza por su extensivo uso de voces masculinas y femeninas en estilo clásico. Fundado por Ralf Donis, Maik Hartung, Sven Mertens, and Susann Heinrich en 1990. Los primeros álbumes de LICTD fueron realizados en la disquera Hyperium en Europa y en Metropolis Records en Estados Unidos.

El álbum 'Teignmouth' fue la primera producción con Metrópolis, le siguieron 'The departure of Donis' y 'Eclipse' y 'Mental Traveller' disco que alcanzó numero una de ventas en México, ya que es uno de los pocas ediciónes hechas en el país por la extinta disquera 'Opción Sónica'.

The Last Dance es un grupo estadounidense de Darkwave. Formado en 1990 e integrado por Jeff Diehm (vocalista), Rick Joyce (guitarra), Peter J. Gorritz (bajo) y Tom Coyne (batería).

Tienen un sonido muy particular que los identifica, el uso de guitarra muy limpia en conjunción con la voz, además de crear ambientes obscuros y definidos por una rítmica muy bien conjuntada por la batería y el bajo.

Everyone and Angel EP (1995)

Un CD realizado a partir de dos cassettes demo, remasterizado y con una cantidad de copias limitada. El primer demo salió a la venta en 1991 y fué llamado "Everyone". El segundo demo fué liberado en 1992, el título "Angel".

Tradegy (1995)

En 1995, TLD graba su primer proyecto desde 1992. Tres años de experiencias hicieron posibles éste álbum, donde plasman esas vivencias en notas y letras. El resultado fué un cassette con cinco canciones, denominado "Tragedy". Una semana después de la grabación, Apollyon Records en Alemania lo escuchó y decidieron lanzarlo en Europa pero con formato de CD. TLD respondió grabando un track más, "You" el cual aparece solo en la versión de CD. A inicios de 1996 "Tradedy" fue editado en EU a través de Mystine Records y la distribución de Etherhaus. Desde su aparición en noviembre de 1995, cada canción del disco recibió una buena distribución via radio y fué muy bien acogido en varias partes del mundo.

Fairytales (1996)

A finales de 1996 TLD comenzó lo que sería su cuarta producción y segundo LP, "Fairytales". En él se comenzaba a dibujar cada aspecto del grupo, de dónde venían, de dónde eran y hacia dónde se dirigían. conteniendo elementos que hacen ya de TLD un grupo con sello propio, de fácil reconocimiento e inolvidable. De las cenizas de la tragedia, a la obscuridad del romanticismo, cada aspecto de TLD podía ser identificada aquí. Este CD de 14 canciones está disponible en EU a través de Mystine Records y Etherhaus. En Europa se lanzó una edición en digi pack, color negro, violeta y oro, representando la relación entre TLD y su representante Europeo, Apollyon Records.

Perfect (2002)

5to disco de su carrera, grabado tras tres años de conciertos y presentaciones. La idea original del concepto "Perfect" comenzó en 1999, en los dos últimos TLD expandió la idea, introduciendo ideas nuevas, producción y grabación. El resultado, el disco estaba lista para junio de 2001.

Now & Forever (2002)

Realizado paralelamente con la gira europea de TLD en abril de 2002. "Now & Forever" representa los logros alcanzados a lo largo de 11 años y 4 LP's. Esta compilación presenta varias versiones a las canciones preferidas de TLD, incluyendo algunas nuevas no editadas hasta ese momento. "She's dancing" y "This tragedy", dos canciones preferidas por el público europeo, fueron específicamente remezcladas para este CD y para la audiencia europea. "The Storm",
remix de la canción aparecida en "Perfect" es exclusiva de este CD. Otras canciones incluídas aparecieron en varias compilaciones como -Goth's undead to Dracula, Rey de los Vampiros-.

Whispers in Rage (2003)

Whispers in Rage, es la producción donde brotan los conflictos de pensamiento, emociones y sentimientos expermientados por TLD a través de su música y sus canciones, lo que se extiende a una fuerza muy profunda de composición lírica... para ellos al momento de escribirlas. El resultado es por mucho el álbum más personal y poderoso que TLD había producido hasta ese momento. Incluye colaboraciones de otros músicos de bandas bien conocidas en el ambiente dark y gótico, como Rachel McDonnell (The Cruxshadows), Mera Roberts (Mercurine), Jellanna García, Dough Jackson, Tom Coyne, entre otros. Con sus aportes, cada uno en su instrumento y a su manera, se logró producir un sonido completamente diferente e imaginado por la banda.
