Feed Forrest Fund

For any of you who are willing, I am taking donations to help the "Feed Forrest Fund." Ok just kidding, but seriously... He ate a whole box of cereal yesterday for breakfast. An entire box in one sitting! And it was Honey Bunches of Oats too, not even like Honey Comb or something that takes up a lot of room in the box. The box took him about 6 bowls and 3/4 a gallon of milk to get through. And then he went on to eat the entire lasagna I made that night for dinner, except for my little square that he cut out for me first. I swear he's a bottomless pit.

Finals Week

I guess I've been a little out of touch lately. We're down to the last week of classes now, and finals week is next week. Lucky for me I only have 2 finals, but one is in Geology - the hardest class I've ever taken. I'm a little nervous about that one but I think I'll be ok. Forrest on the other hand has 6 finals so he's super stressed right now. So while he does all his studying, I'm trying to find things to do to keep me busy. I think that's probably the first time that has ever happened.
We're very excited to come home for Christmas! We were hoping to come home after finals, but my track practice got extended until the 17th, 5 days after the end of finals :(. So hopefully we'll be up as soon as we can after that! We sure can't wait!

Kanarraville Falls

Last week Forrest and I went on the Kanarraville Falls hike, just about 10 minutes outside of Cedar. It was so beautiful, and a lot of fun! It took us just about 2 hours. We had to walk through lots of cold water that made our legs numb, but it was worth it! We had a grand time.
This was the slot canyon that we had to wade through. It was so cool, I wish the pictures would have turned out better because this definitely doesn't justify how beautiful it was!

It was cool because there were pine trees and the other kind of trees.. I don't remember what they're called. And all of that was right in the middle of all the red rocks! It was awesome.

It was a super fun hike and we'll definitely be back next year when it warms up to do it again!

Pictures!!

Well, last week was my birthday and my wonderful husband surprised me with a new camera! I was so happy, so now I can finally add some pictures to my blog and spice it up a bit.

You can finally see my short hair! I love it, but I think I might go get it cut again... its a little uneven in the back and it drives me nuts!

The fam came all the way from Wallsburg, Ephraim, and Glendale to visit on my birthday! We went to dinner at a stake house in Cedar and had a great time!

Of course mom had to hold the peanut, and dad still hasn't quite learned how to smile at the camera.

Forrest's mom and sister were also in town so we all had a big ol' party.

Finally Moved In!!

Well, Forrest and I finally (after waiting for over a month) got moved into our apartment on Wednesday. It's so great to finally be there and be on our own. It's a pretty good sized apartment, but we have a lot of stuff. It still looks like a hurricane hit it, but it does look about 100 times better than it did yesterday morning. I worked on putting stuff away all day while Forrest was at work, I just couldn't get all the big stuff like our couch and dressers and stuff. They're heavy!! One day I'll get a camera so I can post pictures of my hair and our apartment. Sorry for being so boring!

Hair Cut!

This is one post I really wish I had a picture for. The visuals help a lot. Anyway, Forrest and I had to go up north again because I had to be at the state fair on Monday and Tuesday. We came up Friday and spent a couple of nights with Sara and Dan. Saturday morning we slept in really late, then I decided I was ready to cut my hair, after having it long (to the middle of my back) for as long as I could remember. So I made an appointment at Scissors and went and cut it off. I donated my hair, and the girl said they could probably make 3 wigs out of all my hair because its so super thick. I got it cut to my chin in an a-line, and I love it. It cut my time for doing hair by about 45 minutes. Its so fun, and much lighter too. My parents didn't like it much, but everyone else seems to! As soon as I get a picture then I'll post it.

Swiss Days

Last weekend Forrest and I drove up to Wallsburg with Carlia and McKaydee to spend Swiss Days and Labor Day weekend with my family. Carlia drove their horse trailer so we could move down all our stuff without having to rent a U-haul! Swiss Days was a blast, even though it felt like we had to work in the sno-cone booth forever. All the girls got to go shopping, and we all got some great new stuff, so it was a blast! We had dinner with the whole fam at Grandma and Grandpa's house, so that was fun to get to spend time with all of us together.

Monday was a super busy day. It was very blustery, but Dan and Forrest weathered the storm and loaded the trailer up with all our stuff - which took hours. We left for Cedar that afternoon, and got back here about 8:00 to unload our stuff. When we got to the place we were unloading it (Forrest's sister Heather's house), about 10 people that we had never met before miraculously showed up to help us move! The trailer was so full, so what would have taken us hours to move only took us about half an hour. We were so grateful for the help from such kind strangers! We also had some friends offer to let us stay in their house with them until we can get into our apartment, so we've been very blessed! We checked with the school today and they said hopefully our paperwork will be done in the next few days. We're sure hoping!

Down to School

Ok, we don't have any pictures to add because we lost our camera on our honeymoon :( I know, it was really sad. So that's why I haven't been updating our blog, because its kinda boring to just have text with no pictures. Oh well, I'll write anyway. We finally made it through the wedding, the honeymoon, and now we're back down at school. Its good to be down here, now we're just trying to find out where we're going to live for the next couple of days until we can move into our apartment. We're living in scholarship housing which means our rent is FREE. Ya I know, its the best thing ever. The apartments are pretty big too, so it'll be nice. The only bad thing is, we have to wait for our paperwork to be processed before we can move in, so we're just waiting. Apart from that, things are going well. We're very excited to come home this weekend and go to Swiss Days! It'll be a blast!

Preparing for the wedding!

Forrest and I are all set to get married on August 9th, only 3 days away! We've all been running like crazy the past couple of weeks to get ready for it, but it's been fun. We're both getting very nervous, but mostly very excited. We're super excited to get to go to Disney Land for our Honeymoon! We'll be moving down to Cedar City for both of us to finish up our last two years of school. We're both on the track team there as well; Forrest is a thrower and I am a sprinter. We love it and can't wait to go back!
