It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas!

I am in the Christmas Mood! Last Monday we had the Cousin Gift Exchange with Nate's family. Justin and Kili (Nate's older brother and his wife) are spending Christmas in Brazil so we wanted to celebrate with them before they left. We started the evening at Kobe Steakhouse. Adelyn and Maddison thought that it was so fun to eat with Chop Sticks and watch the food get cooked at our table. After dinner we drove around the neighborhood and looked at all the fun Christmas lights. We ended up at our house for dessert and presents!

Guacamole and a new Tie

Yesterday was a good day for Benson. He looked so handsome wearing his first tie to church and he discovered a new favorite food...Guacamole.

Turkey Time

Wow what a week! Happy Belated Thanksgiving! We are so grateful for so many wonderful friends and family members! We Love you all very much! Anyways...Our family had a very fun and busy week. Nate had some business that he needed to take care of in Corpus Christi so the kids and I came along. We brought our bikes and rode along the beach at night. They have a really fun wooden park overlooking the bay so we stopped and played for a while! Last year we bought bikes for Christmas and it has been one of our favorite family activities. The kids have a bike trailer that connects to Nate's bike and they both love it! They usually fall asleep...so whenever we want the kids to go to bed early...we go on a bike ride!

We also thought that it would be fun to take Addy to the Aquarium. They have a lot of fun fish, sharks, alligators,turtles, and jelly fish to look at and a really fun dolphin show.

We got home from Corpus on Wednesday and started preparing for Thanksgiving on Thursday. We had to quickly run out and buy a new turkey because I was a genius and pulled the turkeys out of the freezer to thaw before we left and when we got home...the small turkey was spoiled! So thankfully I was able to thaw the new turkey over night and Thanksgiving was not ruined. We decided to try frying a turkey this year and it was soooo yummy. We injected the turkey with a creole butter sauce and rubbed the outside of the turkey with Cajun spices. We had a great day eating, watching movies, and celebrating my birthday!
