Ornament Exchange

I have always wanted to host an ornament exchange & this year I finally did it! I was so much fun. I had each guest bring 15 ornaments & everyone went home with 15 new ornaments for their tree. I had a hot cocoa bar equipped with mini marshmallows, flavored creamers, chocolate sprinkles & mini candy canes. There was Wassail & everyone brought yummy desserts. It was such a fun night. I just might have to do another one next year!

Craft Day!

Saturday a couple of friends & I got together & had a craft day! Fall decorations are REALLY hard to come by here! We had so much fun gettin' out craftiness on! Here are some of the things we made. Definately thinking I need more days like this.

More Options For Blocks!!

Hello!! I just thought I would update you on some other options for blocks. We have a ton of cute Christmas paper, we just can't show them all! Trust me, it is super cute & you should really order some! Grin. The Boo ones are my favorite! Luvs!

Tanner to Tokyo

So we just found out that our Ward has set the goal to get our youth to the Temple in Tokyo. I am so excited about this. Being over-seas, you just don't have the opportunity to take your kids there as people in states do. This will be Tanner's first time going & he is jazzed. Of course, it is not free, So.......we are fundraising. Below are some of the things that Tanner (with a little help from me) is going to be selling to earn money for his plane ticket, food & lodging. (Remember that Christmas is coming up & who couldn't use an inexpensive gift??) It will be a little pricey but sooo worth it. If there is anything you would like to order, just shoot us an email at andchalli@yahoo.com. The Joy blocks are $7 if you are local & we are more than willing to ship them to you for $10. The Fall blocks are $10 (local) & $13 (to ship). We can also do a custom order if there is a different color scheme you had in mind. We can always add bows or take them away too. The possibilities are endless!! Let's send Tanner to Tokyo!!

Sawyer earned his Wolf Badge in Cub Scouts!! He worked hard & had a blast. We are so proud of him!! Way to go Sawyer!!

Buh Bye Hardware

Friday I broke down & had the hardware removed from my right foot. I had been having a lot of pain & just couldn't take it anymore. The doctor was nice enough to let me add it to my collection. (Just for you Dad!) The smaller plate was growing into my bone. The larger H plate was rubbing on a ligament & caused a little bit of damage to it. Not enough to do anything about it, but it would have gotten pretty bad had I left the plates in. All in all, I am feeling great. Can't wait until Thursday when I get the stitches removed. I start physical therapy on the 17th & hopefully everything will be good to go after that. Thanks for all your prayers & well wishes. I really appreciate it!!

Happy Birthday Chad!!!

Sunday was Chad's birthday. We'll say it was his 29th b-day since we have reached that age of where we are 29 & holding. Grin. I feel like he gets gypped when his b-day falls on Mother's Day like it did this year. But, my friend Angie, made him an amazing cake so I think it made up for it. We had a great day watching a movie & just hanging out after church together. Here are some pictures of his cake. Happy Birthday Chad!! You are the cheese to my macaroni!!

Dinner & a show!

Some friends & I went to dinner this past weekend. On our way out of the restaurant, we heard music. Of course we had to follow the music. This is what we found! It was awesome. A Japanese 50's band! The picture does not do this man's hair justice. It gave Elvis' a run for him money that is for sure. We had a blast listening & dancing along. They were actually pretty good. I put two videos on here too. The one on the left is them singing Do the Locamotion which translated into Japanese is Do the Rocamooshin. Awesome! The second one is just a clip of them singing Venus by Bananarama. Such a fun night, thought I would share!

Pinewood Derby

Sawyer had his first Pinewood Derby this past month. This one I had to do by myself since Chad was TDY. Sawyer wanted a Ninja car, so that is what we made. He also wanted to add "blood" to the front. My morbid son, gotta love him! He took 3RD place at the District Race. He qualified for the International Pinewood Derby (island wide) which was this past Saturday. He took 4Th place in that. Not too shabby I think, especially since Dad was gone. He had a blast cheering for his friends cars & just being a part of everything.

Ammon's Incredible, Edible Sheep

We had a FHE on Ammon tonight. We even made our own little flock to protect. It was so much fun. Of course the boys had to make their sheep super heroes. We used Ding Dongs, big & little marshmallows & toothpicks. The best part was we got to eat them when we were done & I learned that a serving of Ding Dongs was two!! That made me happy!

Heart Attacked!!

As some of you know, Chad was TDY to Vegas for about a month. He missed Valentine's Day. While he was gone, the Activity Day Girls (kynda like Girls Scouts for those of you who have no idea what I am talking about) "heart attacked" his office at church. This is what he came home to, he LOVED it.

American Village

Last week Chad & I went to lunch at an awesome place we call the Ticket Restaurant. You go into the restaurant, walk up to this thing that looks like a big juke box, pick out what you want to eat (there are pictures), push the button, get a ticket & go sit down. Then the server comes & gets your ticket & brings you your food. It was THE best garlic fried rice I have ever had! Sooo yummy! Afterwards, we went to Yogurt Land in American Village. It was nice to walk around there since it has been a while since we have been there. Here is a picture of the Ferris Wheel on top of one of the buildings. It is awesome!

Som Chai

My friend, Megan, & I went to this Thai place outside of gate 2 today for lunch. We got there a little early, so we walked around & looked at shops. It was awesome. There was just a maze of shops & restaurants. Way fun to roam. Here a just a few pix from today. Thanks Meg for showing me the place!! It was sooo yummy!
