Brooklynn's first Dance Recital

I finally did it. I am blogging again. SO much has happened over the last 6 months I am not sure where to start. Jaxon is 2 1/2 and definately keeps me on my toes. Konner finished his first year of preschool and already knows how to write his name. Brooklynn has finished Kindergarten and had her first dance recital. She was only in dance about 5 1/2 months, but the teacher was really impressed with how well she caught on. In fact at the Dance Recital last week, Brooklynn was front and center. She enjoys dancing and I think we will keep her in for the time being. there is a video from the recital to watch. I was having problems downloading, but finally figured out a way. I know it seems kind of tedious, but I didn't want to post it on youtube, so this was the only other way. I hope you enjoy it. I will post more pictures later of all my kids.

I am not very creative when it comes to crafts, but I do love to do it. Dan and I were trying to figure out what to do with our Christmas Stockings this year. I was searching some blogs and found an idea for a Stocking Tree from Tracy at The Idea Closet. I liked the idea and so I went for it. It turned out really good. Here are a few pics of what I did.

I added the pine cones a garland so it didn't look so plain. I also put a little white paint on it to make it look like snow.

I also made an Advent Calendar froma mini muffin tin. I got this idea from a friend in my ward Tracy Hammond. I think it turned out cute and the kids enjoy it.

I also had a craft day with some friends and made this cute little Christmas Tree. This idea is from Melinda over at Under My Umbrella.

I had a great time doing these. I love it when I have friends that have all of these great ideas. Now that I have blogged about crafts I have done, now I need to start working on updating on what my family and kids have been up to. There are a lot pf pictures that need to be added, so hopefully I will get to it soon.

I finally did it

It has been so long since I have blogged. I almost have forgot how to do it. A lot is going on in our family right now. Brooklynn started kindergarten and Konner started preschool. I have to admit, it was hard for me at first to send my little girl off to school, especially when she starts crying and saying she wants mommy. She is doing better now and enjoys going every day. Brooklynn is also playing soccer and taking piano lessons. She is doing very good in both. I will post pictures of that in a later post. Hopefully it will be sooner then 2 months.

Konner on the other hand, didn't have a problem going to preschool what so ever. He only goes one day a week, and he asks me every other day if it is time for him to go to Miss Monique's house. He is going to the same preschool that Brooklynn did last year. I have a friend in my ward who has a preschool in her home and does a wonderful job.

I am getting a lot of walking in with the kids every day. We only live about a half mile from the school, so I walk Brooklynn to school every day. It has been very good exercise. On top of all that walking, I have been getting up around 5:15 every morning. I first read my scriptures and then I exercise for about 1 hour. It was hard at first to get up that early, but I am used to it now and actually enjoy it. It is paying off, I have lost about 25 pounds.

Jaxon is doing great. He is growing up so fast. He will be 2 in December. It just seems like yesterday he joined our family. He is a sweet little kid and for the moment is a mommy's boy. He enjoys going to nursery at church. I so have to remember not to check in on him, because if I do and he sees me, then he starts to cry, but the leaders in there are really good about diffusing any crying going on. I don't have any pics of him this time, but I for sure will next time.
