Corvette Club Activity

There was more to powerboats and hydrofoils than I thought after we went with the GOCC (after we had breakfast in Port Orchard Shari's) to the museum in Kent. We saw one boat that crashed a while ago and killed the driver; that was eerie to see the dead driver's name still on the hull. There's a feature the museum staff has where you can perform 200 service hours for a three-lap ride at about 115 MPH around one of the lakes in WA. Anyone interested?

What a sight it was to see these 8 cars in line going down I-5 on the way to the musuem!

When we got home yesterday from the activity with the Corvette club, Dad went out to get the mail and found these beautiful flowers on the front porch. Just want to thank Kim and Matt for them. I've been pretty spolied lately with flowers. I have the very best kids a mother could ask for.

Alan Jackson Concert

Dad Picked me up from work on Friday and we headed to Tacoma to see Alan Jackson in concert. We stopped in Gig Harbor for dinner. Then we found a place to park on the side of the road about 2 blocks away, so we didn't have to pay $20.00 for parking. When we got there we found out that our tickets had been upgraded. We ended up being on the side 4 rows back. The pictures are kind of dark but no to bad since they were taken during the concert from our seats.

Miranda Lambert was the opening act. Dad liked her more than I did. She's a bit to much rock for my taste. But then Alan Jackson is a bit to much country for Dad's taste. So we compromised. Alan Jackson sang a lot of his older songs. My favorite of his is "Remember When." So I was glad he sang that. We enjoyed the evening. I'm sure since Dad went with me to this, I'll have to go see Trans Siberian Orchastra with him in Dec. Maybe I'll be lucky and he'll forget. (probably not)

Dad's been busy

Since Dad hasn't had to work much at the apartments lately he has been doing my honey-do-list. His latest project was to strip the wallpaper off the downstairs bathroom and paint it. I put up the border. I told him now he only has 2 more bathrooms to go. He's not to excited about doing them quite yet. He has also been busy working in the yard getting the moss out. A never ending project up here, and keeping the grass mowed and looking nice. He also does the laundry and a lot of the cooking for dinner. I really appriciate all he's been doing to make things easier for me, since I'm still working. Here are a couple of pictures of the new and improved bathroom.
