Calling all closet Bachelor fans!!

As I am sure most of you know, I love The Bachelor. I have been a faithful watcher since the 2nd season. Although I do swear off the show at least once a season, I could never betray Chris Harrison like that.This coming Monday is the season finale. I am so sad to see it end. This season has been great. Yes, it does have it s fair share of trashy moments but there are a lot of great moments also. Who is Jason going to choose?? Melissa or Molly!!??

Melissa has been my choice from the start. It was a little weird that her parents didn't want to meet him since it was so public. But come one people!! This is your daughter that may be proposed to. Can't you at least meet him it private. Sam reminds me that isn't that big of a deal since I didn't meet Sam's mom until a month before we got married and I met his dad the day of our wedding. So I will let the meeting of the parents slide. Understandable. They can all meet after they are engaged.
I have to say though, I don't hate Molly. In Bachelor history, I usually really love one of the girls and then hate the other one. This time I would be happy with either but of course happier if he chooses Melissa. Molly's mom is a little too crazy with the hat thing!

Oh I forgot about the twist this week with Deanna coming back. Come on!! You already dumped Jason. Just stay away!! I really just think she is coming on to give him advice not to try to win him back. I just love how the show has to stay dramatic.

I just had to give a quick shout out to my guilty pleasure! I am excited for the finale but also sad to see it end.

Okay... maybe I do have a problem

2 of my roommates from college posted about things that they have a great abundance of. Emily has tons of jeans and Merilee has a ton of sprinkles. I was telling Sam about this and I said that I really don't have anything that I have a ton of. I continued to tell him that I am so good at getting rid of things lately and have not been a pack rat. Of course I still have my 200 pencil collection from elementary. I worked at the school store and used to buy them all the time. (I know, what a dumb thing to collect) Those are packed away at my parent's house. I also still have all of my Little Mermaid memorabilia stored at my parent's house also but besides that I have been really good. Sam just laughed and then showed me my crazy addictions.

Okay so I may have quite a few candles. The funny thing is, I really haven't bought many while we have been out here. You know trying to save money and everything. There are a total of 42 and they all smell differently. Sam also reminds me that I have some packed away in my holiday boxes and I left a few in Utah. I have to have this many candles. There are the decorative candles, the little candles that go in holders, then there are different scents I like to smell at different times of the year. Of course I am not going to have my cinnamon candle smell in the spring. That is just common sense. I will admit that I do have an obsession with Salt City Candles. I just love them so much. Their scent lasts the longest of any brand I have every bought. These are all essential to my survival.
I also have a ton of playing cards. We play many games that you need multiple decks and I have a big family that plays these games!! I have to be able to supply enough cards so everyone can play. There are 30 all together. Okay so maybe we never use that many decks in one game but sometimes come kind of close. When we play hand-and-foot, we have to have 1 more deck than there are people. In Nertz, we have to have a different deck for each person. The decks also have to all have different backs to them. You can never have too many decks of cards.
Okay now I have admitted my problem of maybe collecting a little too many of specific items. I have to say if I had enough room to store them, I would have tons of blankets too. I just love them.

Now I ask all of you the same question... What is in your closet? What do you have a ton of? Everyone has something, I am sure of it.

Valentine's Weekend

We had a nice weekend. On Friday, Sam had planned a trip to Connecticut to stay over night. We had a romantic lunch at 5 Guys Burgers and Fries. We had tried it when we were in Utah and absolutely loved it. Sam was craving it and it was by where we were staying so it worked out perfectly. I don't mind at all that we didn't go to some restaurant that the wait for a couple hours to get a table. It was a lot of fun to just have a relaxing night. On Saturday afternoon, we went over to Kelly's to watch the kids overnight. I wanted to do something festive with the kids so we made heart shaped pizzas and let them decorate their own. Oh and of course we had pink lemonade. It was a lot of fun hanging out with them and playing games all night and after church on Sunday. We played Life a couple of times and it has changed a lot from when I used to play it growing up. Or maybe I just don't remember the game very well. I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day.

Just plain Junk!

I told Sam yesterday that I am sick of our bathroom closet and I am going to organize and make it look nice for sure sometime this week. I told him that if there is anything that he really wants to keep then go and get it otherwise it will probably end up in the garbage since a lot of the stuff is really old.
What did he choose to take away from the closet you ask. All of those dumb sample shampoo and conditioners that we get from hotels. He drives me crazy with them. He loves collecting them. He never uses them. He uses them at the hotel and that is the end of it. I have thrown away so many when he doesn't notice but these are the last and that is what he wants to save. It is good to know what he may go and grab for if there was a fire. It just makes me laugh so I thought I would share in his craziness. Keep in mind that the big bottles are from our hotel in Las Vegas on our honeymoon, and that was 4 years ago!!

Happy Groundhog's Day!!

Sam and I have always wanted to celebrate Groundhog's Day but we just never do. This year I decided to surprise Sam with a celebration. Well it wasn't really a big thing. I saw these really cute cupcakes on Tip Junkie and I just had to make them. I thought they turned out really cute, I almost don't want to ever eat them and just keep them on my table all year round. That would be a little gross. Well actually, we will not eat the groundhogs for sure because I got impatient with the frosting not drying and candy falling off that I just ended up super gluing everything on.
We are about to watch Groundhog's Day with Bill Murray. That movie just never gets old. It is one of our favorites. This will be a perfect little tradition every year. I hope everyone had a wonderful Groundhogs day even though we are all mad at Punxsutawney Phil for seeing his shadow. Hopefully it will be a mild 6 more weeks.
