I haven't posted in a long time because we've been so busy! Colton is walking and climbing on everything! He babbles a lot but doesn't say very many words. He loves to be with his family. Jocelyn is loving being 4 and a big sister. She loves preschool and her ballet class. Here are a few pictures that may be out of order chronologically.
I guess that's why I haven't posted in a long time. We have been having a great year but it has really flown by. We are so excited for Spring! The chickens started laying eggs and we are going to plant another garden this year. Trent is finishing up the sunroom and we are going to move into it. Then Colton will have his own room, yay! Jocelyn loves to watch princess movies and pretend to be a princess. Her latest favorite quotes from the movie Tangled are: "Who are you? And how did you find me?" and "What are you going to do with my hair? Cut it? Sell it?" It is hilarious. Here are some recent pictures:

We are the proud owners of 5 chickens and a beautiful chicken coop that Trent built. We'll let you know if they turn out to be hens or roosters when they get a little bit older.

I still can't believe we have two kids, but it has been a lot of fun. Challenging, but fun. Merry Christmas!
3 months have gone by and I have not updated the blog, oops! But to make up for it, here is Colton laughing!!
Time to catch up on the blog! Our beautiful son Colton was born at 3:51 pm on Wednesday, September 15th. Trent got to help deliver him and cut the cord (which was nice because Joss was born via C-section). He was a whopping 8 pounds 15 ounces and 20 inches long. We were surprised at how big he was because I gained less weight this pregnancy and because I eat a nearly vegan diet. We have had a lot of fun getting to know him. Jocelyn has warmed up to him and likes to give him pushes when he is in his swing. He is now 5 weeks old and weighs more than 12 pounds. We love this little guy!
I'll post more pictures later. Jocelyn just informed me that Colton is calling to me (he's crying).
A lot has happened since the last time I updated the blog. Trent turned 30 and Jocelyn turned 3. I will post about Joss' birthday soon, but I am still too traumatized about what happened at her birthday party to write about it! (It involves a dropped cake and lots of tears.) In other news, Jocelyn started preschool!! She is going two mornings a week for 2.5 hours. She loves it so far and has not had any problems with the new routine. It helps that she has two buddies from church in her class too.
Here she is with Shelby who is in her class and Shelby's little bro Corbin on the first day of school. (Thanks for the picture, Charissa!) She dressed herself (in the dark) when she woke up on this morning. I could hear her tapping on the wood floors in her new shoes.
More details about her first-day-of-school outfit (which we weren't really planning on, but she insisted): Jocelyn got some birthday money from Grandma and Grandpa Giron and we let her pick out what she wanted to buy. She decided that she would rather have a new dress and "dancing shoes" instead of a new toy. She picked out this whole outfit and is in love with it!! She would wear the dress every day if we would let her. So far, she has worn the sparkle shoes every day. She really loves to dress up and be our little princess. (She was wearing a skirt the other day and Trent told her she looked like a princess. She said, "No, Dad. I'm not a princess. I'm not wearing a dress.)

Well, it's been a long time since the last post . . . Here is what is new with us.
My mom and two sisters came to visit for Memorial Day weekend. It was great to spend time with everyone and they especially loved hanging out with Jocelyn. We ate a lot of food and shopped. Shortly after that, Trent and Joss made a trip to Utah and Idaho. Jocelyn loved seeing all of her cousins and hanging out at the ranch in Idaho. She got to ride horses with Dad for the first time. She slept in the same bed as Trent and would tap him on the shoulder at 4 in the morning to say, "Dad, is it morning yet?" :) Next, Father's Day was fun and Trent's gift was tickets to a Rockies game. We went this past weekend and got to sit on the field after the game to watch fireworks. 4th of July weekend was fun, fun, fun. We hung out with friends at their lake twice, went to the baseball game, and had another bbq with friends. I only got 4 mosquito bites too! (This is a big improvement; apparently mosquitoes like to bite people with O blood, especially pregnant ones.) I am 30 weeks pregnant now and we are looking forward to meeting our son in September! That's about it for now . . .
We went to the Children's Museum for the first time and Joss loved it! She asks to go back all the time.

For my birthday, we went to the Butterfly Pavilion which is always fun because Jocelyn loves it. She loves seeing all the spiders and butterflies and she even touched the starfish this time. Afterwards, we went to a hibachi grill and she loved watching the chef cook in front of us. She was in awe of the big flames at the beginning and the onion volcano. It was a great day.
