I never dream that this day will come, one of my most respected band is back for a reunion!! They are back bigger and better. This modern R&B stuff and Indie rock bands are killing guitar talent, we need bands like this to come back,I'm up for it!

Dj Becareful aka Sam Lee spinned @ Rebel last night to a young & energtic crowd. It was my first time there, and the place kinda retain its MOS heyday look with the cage still there. FYI, Rebel took over the old "SMOOZE" arena from MOS. Sam started spinning @ 1am and it is interesting to hear his own mixes. Not very dance-able i must admit, but he seems be enjoying the atmosphere our local crowd was giving him. Hope to see more street artistes like himself coming to Singapore for a cross-cultural exchange.

09.04.09 is a very exciting date for our local retail scene. Japanese retail giant UNIQLO finally open its door here in the region. Despite this brand already been a household name in several asia countries such as hongkong & taiwan, Singapore only has the taste of what is to come. The opening @ the new TAMPINES ONE was totally amazing, great atmosphere. The power of retail unleased here finally!!
Watched the Japanese dark comedy "Detroit Metal City" last night. It is about a Indie-pop singer wannabe who went to Tokyo with a dream to be a successful trendy singer. But little did he know, he was thrown into the underground death metal scene which to his dismay, he as a talent for it. Death Metal is a genres that branch out from Heavy Metal. The lyrics are usually brutal like its music. Personally, i hated death metal which originated from Norway. The musicians were hardcore and the music is, well not music at all.
But the movie toned Death Metal down & cast it into something that is cool & acceptable in the mainstream music world. The truth is, what started from the underground, should remain underground. Nevertheless, for those into bands, you should go catch it.
