Dan & Alli- Halloween party '06

In honor of the "Stargate Worlds" game Dan's working on, we dressed up as Stargate characters for a party the weekend before Halloween! For those who are not "geeks," we are Teal'c and Sam Carter.

Gorgeous Sedona- Oct. 21st, 2006

We love Sedona! It reminds me of Moab or some places in Southern Utah. Uptown includes a string of cute outdoor shops where we tasted homemade ice cream and enjoyed the farmers' market. We had dinner at the Sedona Airport Restaurant, where Ashlyn & Corey loved watching the planes take off the plateau runway as we ate!

Oak Creek Canyon- Oct. 22nd, 2006

After leaving the Grand Canyon, we drove to Sedona through Oak Creek Canyon. The leaves were changing colors and Dan pulled over so we could walk along the stream. Ashlyn fell in, then enjoyed walking in the water and catching water bugs!

Sunset at the Grand Canyon- Oct. 21st, 2006

Although it was only 35 degrees, this was my favorite night at the Canyon. This was taken at Yaki Point on the South Rim.

Ashlyn & Corey- Grand Canyon

This is the most popular overlook on the South Rim called Yaki Point. You can go right out on this rock that makes you feel like you're in the middle of the canyon! Corey was a little scared at first, but he became more comfortable when he saw people hiking on the trails below.

Hay ride at the Pumpkin Patch- Oct. 14th, 2006

Ashlyn & the Crocodile- Oct. 14th, 2006

There was a traveling reptile show at the Pumpkin Patch, and Ashlyn headed straight for the crocodile (or is it an alligator?) Even looking at this picture gives me the heebie-jeebies, but Ashlyn wasn't afraid. I love that she's so willing to try new things. She said it felt "bumpy and rough."

Pumpkin Patch- October 14th, 2006

We had such a great afternoon at Mother Nature's Pumpkin Patch. We decorated pumpkins, took a hay ride, and enjoyed a reptile show. Even though it was HOT, it reminded me that it's still AUTUMN!
