Harrison's Here!

Harrison was born on Friday, June 13th at 5:44pm. He weighed in at 7 lbs. 7 oz and was 20.25 inches long. He is beautiful and can't wait to meet everyone!

Where did the name Harrison Charles McGraw come from?

Here is how we came up with the name-

Harrison: This is the last name of a friend of mine from back in high school, Marshall Harrison, whom ended up in a coma just before his freshmen year of college. I wanted to name my son after him and Harrison happened to be a name Amanda had already put on her list as a possibility.

Charles: Pretty simple, it was Amanda's fathers middle name and my fathers first name.

Many ask if we are going to call him "Harry." We really don't mind the shortened version, but will probably refer to him as Harrison and if it gets shortened to Harry over time and once he gets around other kids, then so be it.

Still Waiting

Amanda and I are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Harrison Charles McGraw. I am not sure if it is her intuition or just HOPE but Amanda feels that it will be sooner as opposed to later. We are both still hanging on to the original projected due date of June 6th, even though multiple doctors have since said June 20 is the more accurate. The good thing about waiting a little while longer is that it will let Amanda finish up school which is good.

We will be using this site to give updates, upload photos, etc... as Harrison comes along.
