GREATFUL FOR

I have decided to start my day off with something that I am grateful for. Each new morning I will be grateful for something that God has created. Many days go by where I don't appreciate the little things in life, and I don't realize all that I truly have. So today is a new day and I am starting it off with......

GRATEFUL- I am TRULY grateful for my legs. How I love my legs! I love everything about them. I embrace my spider veins, LARGE calves, protruding knees, and white, white, white legs. How would it be to not be able to go for my morning run and evening walks? What would it be like to only see the bottom of the mountain and not be able to climb to the top? Each day I wake up, get dressed, and WALK all day long not even thinking about my legs. I absolutely LOVE having legs. Even though they are definitely not perfect SEXY, HOT model legs......I LOVE HAVING THEM! So be grateful for your legs. Embrace your varicose veins, the hair that constantly grows out of them and don't let a day go by without saying "I LOVE MY LEGS".

FAMILY REUNION

Over the weekend we had a BLAST at the William's family reunion at Grande Targhee. We headed to Targhee on FRIDAY to meet up with the gang.
First on the agenda.....swimming! The kids could pretty much swim in the Olympics by now from all the swimming they got in. After the swim we headed over for some intense disc golf. This sport was made for people with really good shoulder function, and that would not be me. I tried throwing one of those and swear it took my whole arm with it. I didn't last long at the game of disc golf. Branson, Brian, and Ken are quite the professionals!

SATURDAY was another amazing day. First things first......SWIMMING! All the boys including our little Coopster headed to the pool. This was Coopers first day of REAL swimming. He looked like he was enjoying himself whizzing in the pool. What else do kids do when they hit the water?

CLIMBING- Carson, Kelton and Landon headed for the climbing wall to show off their muscles. Man those kids are tough! After climbing, we headed back to the pool. They were wearing me out just watching them play so hard. RED BULL TIME!
As evening set in we headed to Driggs for some delicious pizza. Oh, how I love good pizza. Charlotte had purchased some tickets to a Harry Potter party which didn't even start until midnight. They are party animals!

SUNDAY- More swimming........more swimming. Time to hit the ski lift to the top of the mountain to see the amazing views of the Tetons. Oh, how I love the mountains. I love the beauty and peace you feel while you are around them.Rob and Charlotte thank you so much for making the effort to have a FAMILY reunion every year. This is what we look forward to each new year. Also, thank you for sharing your son (Brian) with us. We love him more than you will ever know. Thanks again for everything! WE HAD A BLAST!A Family is like a circle the connection never ends and even if at times it breaks in time it always mends
a family is like the stars somehow there always there families are those who help
who support and always care A Family is like a book the endings never clear
but through the pages of the book their love is always near
A family is many things with endless words that show who they are and what they do
and how they teach you so you know but don’t be weary if it's broken
or if through time its been so worn families are like that-
they're split up and always torn but even if this happens your family will always be
they help define just who you are and will be apart of you eternally

13 YEARS?

picture taken after really LONG day with the kids- don't look too close at the spit up on my shirt- I am feeling really tall in this picture for some reason. I think it is because Brian has his leg wrapped around my body - you nasty man you.

Holy CRAP it's our Anniversary today. It has been 13 years since the big wedding day, and my how things have changed. The first few years of marriage you plan for the anniversary months in advance. You decide what you will be purchasing or making that will blow each other's socks off. A few more years pass and those months of planning turn into the day before. A few more years go by, and HELL you just forget about it all together. This is how the big anniversary week went.

The day before yesterday we realized that yup, this is the month that we were truly married. Last year the night before the big day I could at least run to town and grab something that says "wow, I do love you." Now that I live in Ashton I am limited to shopping at the grocery store or gas station.

I woke up this morning to a baby that needed fed, changed, and scrubbed of nastyness. Brian was pretty much unnoticeable on the other side of the KING bed, except for the flatulents that were coming out of his rear end. Hee, hee, hee. Who invented these dang beds anyway?.....someone who doesn't want any action I guess. I walked downstairs and saw these yummy treats with a sweet card from my HUBBY. I started to cry because I realized that this was the first time in 13 years that I have never had my gift sitting on the counter waiting to be opened. Next, it was a mad rush to make the 9:00am church session. After church we ran home and attended to every need and want of the kids.
I felt that it was time to purchase the big anniversary gift. I headed to the grocery store and made the big purchase of 12 pack pepsi, 1 slice cheese cake, and a funny card. Wow, am I pathetic or what? Throughout the day we hung out and attended to every need and want of the kids. After that we hung out and attended to every need and want of the other kid. Oh, did I say attend to every need and want of the kids. YUP, we did! But you know what? It was a great day. I realized that even though we don't get to be alone in Maui on our Anniversay this year, we do get to be together. And the even greater thing about being together.... is that we get to be together FOREVER. That is why I am truly happy! What more could anyone ask for.
Well, alright I will take a date with my hubby at least once a year.

BOYS WILL BE BOYS

A week has already come and gone and what have I accomplished? Not a thing! On the 4th I got a mother's favorite infection "MASTITIS". They should just call it "hate to be a women" infection. I went to the E.R. and got some delish drugs. That laid me up for a few days until I received the other wonderful women infection "I WANT TO DIE" infection. Every women knows what I am talking about. Things are looking up now, and that's a good thing.
The other day we went up into the canyon to practice our gun skills because you never know when that grizzly will come to visit. Brian taught the 3 little hulaguns how to shoot (Carson, Kelton, Landon). They had fun picking their noses, peeing on stink bugs, and getting totally filthy.....DIRTY.....it's what boys do. Today Brian is out playing in his skid steer. He is helping with some work down on fisherman's drive. I think he might even make some money. How happy he would be to sit and play in a tonka truck with air conditioning ......and make MONEY. What male figure wouldn't want to do that. I will fill you in on how things go.

BROKEN HEART

It was great to have visitors last night. Grandma, Dad, Mom, and Whitney came up for a visit. I forced them into the woods for a short hike where they were attacked by millions of mosquitoes. We returned back home for some delicious watermelon, and conversation. It was fun to have them here! Anyone else who wants to stop by.....we would love it.

Today I attended a funeral for one of my good friends little girl- Lillian Orr. She was two years old and was hit by a car. It was truly sad. Dr. Reynolds gave such an amazing talk. It broke my heart to sit and listen to the words that were spoken. I learned a lot from this tragic experience. Sometimes I wonder why things like this happen to such great people. Why are children at such a young age taken from their parents? They read this peom at the funeral and I liked the message. Live life to it's fullest because you never know when one of us will return back home.

My Dearest Family

Some things I'd like to say but first of all to let you know
that I arrived okay. I'm writing this from Heaven
where I dwell with God above where there's no more tears or sadness
there is just eternal love. Please do not be unhappy
just because I'm out of sight remember that I'm with you
every morning, noon and night. That day I had to leave you
when my life on Earth was through, God picked me up and hugged me
and He said I welcome you. It's good to have you back again,
you were missed while you were gone, as for your dearest family
they'll be here later on. I need you here so badly
as part of My big plan, there's so much that we have to do
to help our mortal man. Then God gave me a list of things
He wished for me to do, and foremost on that list of mine
is to watch and care for you. And I will be beside you
every day and week and year, and when you're sad,
I'm standing there to wipe away the tear.
And when you lie in bed at night, the days chores put to flight,
God and I are closest to you in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on Earth and all those loving years,
because you're only human they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry, it does relieve the pain,
remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you of all that God has planned,
but if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on Earth is o'er.
I am closer to you now than I ever was before.
And to my very many friends, trust God knows what is best.
I'm still not far away from you, I'm just beyond the crest.
There are rocky roads ahead of you, and many hills to climb,
but together we can do it taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too
that as you give unto the World so the World will give to you.
If you can help somebody who is in sorrow or in pain,
then you can say to God at night my day was not in vain.
And now I am contented that my life it was worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is down and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up as on your way you go.
When you are walking down the street
and you've got me on your mind, I'm walking in your footsteps
only half a step behind. And when you feel the gentle breeze
or the wind upon your face, that's me giving you a great big hug
or just a soft embrace. And when it's time for you to go
from that body to be free, remember you're not going
you are coming here to me, And I will always love you
from that land way up above. Will be in touch again soon.
p.s. God sends his love.
